DROPPED Terrain Bump - Texture Pack (by SparrowPrince)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well, they do take up more space while uncompressed, but that's why they are half the size. Half sized uncompressed are about as large as full size DXT5 compressed. -
DROPPED Terrain Bump - Texture Pack (by SparrowPrince)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Some of the textures should be added to the ini so they are skipped. Pretty much any of the textures that are smooth are preferable as uncompressed. Stuff like the dirt roads and snow are really noisy and I doubt anyone will be able to tell the difference. -
Expanded Snow Systems - Climates of Tamriel Version by JonusL2D Expanded Snow Systems by JonusL2D Two flavors of this mod, one for CoT user and one for the everyone else. Both mods do the same thing by adding three new types of snow with three levels of strength. The CoT version adds new snow without taking anything weather away from CoT. The mods are compatible with Supreme Storms (if this mod loads after SS) and Wet & Cold and probably not compatible with RCRN. Anything not compatible with CoT will not be compatible with the CoT version. Has SoS patches as well for CoT version. Three types break down like this: 1) Vertical Snow with low wind and low fog. 2) Vertical snow with large flakes, low wind and some fog. 3) Vanilla snow storm that has three variants of wind, fog and visibility.

Me again...freezing this time
EssArrBee replied to Copywrite85's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Also, If you have been playing non-stop from two days and only had three freezes and zero crashes then I'd say you are lucky. Beth games are unstable enough during long play session when they are vanilla, and you have a ton of mods that could make things go wrong. Just remember to save a lot so you don't get to angry about a freeze here and there if you somehow get to play for 5 hours on end. -
DROPPED Telvanni Reborn (by Mystery Modder)
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yep, gotta agree with Will, since some of his textures in that HD pack are quite large for the item they cover. It's better to pick the best ones so we don't have a big texture pack in the Conflicting Graphics that just gets overwritten by other mods the are STEP preferred. -
arrow quiver on in the wrong place / wrong weapon draw animation
EssArrBee replied to voridian's question in General Skyrim LE Support
What exactly is the problem with the wizard? I have gone through every option and could not get Wrye Bash to install the wrong options or not install the options I chose. If you had a problem, please post what options did not work for you, so I can look it over. As for the wizard.txt, there is nothing that jumps out at me as being wrong with it, but those things can be quite finicky. -
Hell yeah! Can you make a version that inherits the Ars Metallica qualifications for crafting ebony ingots out of the Dumacs?

Also, these shouldn't be run through an optimizer as that would save them in a compressed format, which would just be the same as the vanilla normals, same should really go for any of SP's mods. -
STEP is going through a big change as it moves toward 2.3.0, so just keep an eye out.

GPU overloading although barely half VRAM is used
EssArrBee replied to Archy333's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yes, please stay over 32 FPS, so 35 is a great choice and you can always go up a few frames if you want to. Also, marked as solved. -
This has to be from the US, only we would care about boobies when you can pick perks to cut peoples heads off. 'MURICA for the win!

EssArrBee replied to Archy333's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Actually never lower it to less than 32 FPS because of some load screen issue I believe. I forget where to find the info on that maybe someone else knows more about it. -

If you want to keep that section in alphabetical order you can do by putting right before Tree HD in the 2.G section. That way the only thing that overwrites it is one file from WATER which is by the same author, so no biggie. -
DROPPED Distant Decal Fix (by SparrowPrince)
EssArrBee replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Can you tell if there are any that are broken since that was the claim? -

Laptops will always operate at higher temperatures than their desktop counter parts. That's the nature of using one little fan to cool and entire system. In my case the GPU stays at around 70-75 C while the CPU can get around 20 degrees hotter, I guess it's just design choices that have to made in tiny spaces. Maybe try not playing in mid day heat, it is summer after all, also you could try to limit your framerate in nvidia inspector. I believe if you drop to 50-45 FPS you wouldn't really notice to much of difference since it's not a shooter and that will put less demand on the system. -

EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Install it after those mods as this a compilation of uncompressed normal maps, the basic textures will still be used from the main packs like SHD and Serious, but this will fill in the normals and give textures more of a bumpy terrain look especially in the middle hours of the day. -
NetImmerse Override
EssArrBee replied to xiamthewalrusx's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Yeah, I would like to see something like a special mage's robe that starts glowing when near a magical item or an armor that has a certain effect in the sun and a different one in the moonlight. Just things like that which would make custom loot highly desirable. EDIT: Spelling because I live in southwest US and the sun has melted my brain. -
Maybe ask Will to add it to BOSS, he is nice unless you use the word torrent. Then he gets all medieval on you.

arrow quiver on in the wrong place / wrong weapon draw animation
EssArrBee replied to voridian's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The BAIN wizard works fine for me, but I haven't tried all the options, just the STEP recommended. I could look into it today if Will is busy, I know the ins and outs of wizards. -

No need for STEP to include this as it is part of Race Menu 2.0 as is CharGen. It would be a good idea to at least mention it in the wiki so people are aware. I'm really surprised at the level SKSE has reached with Skyrim. It has really allowed many modders to go way beyond the creation kit is so many ways. -

I can just give it to you through dropbox since I still have it. Let me know. -

Oh man destructible corpses? That would be awesome, why didn't Bethesda think of that? Oh wait they did, in Fallout 3. :@ -
DROPPED WATER - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux (by SparrowPrince)
EssArrBee replied to Asimov's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This mod just updated to 1.7 and it looks like from the changes that SP implemented the puddle fixes that Brumbek did a while back. Maybe look at this versus the Improved Puddles to see if it is redundant now. -
You could just do some kind of ambiance pack with sound mods that don't make it to Core. This would be one for those people that have 7.1 hooked up or $500 headphones.

SKYRIMLE aMidianBorn Roads and Bridges by CaBaL
EssArrBee replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
There is already some stuff out there that is for landscape and interiors. Telvanni Reborn for one and there is also a nice pack of the robes from DB, I forget their name, but Rafuel is the author.
