Left hand spell animation has a graphic tear
hishutup replied to GrantSP's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I am unsure but I figure that it is its own system. I don't think I have ever seen a setting for it to redirect the images -
Left hand spell animation has a graphic tear
hishutup replied to GrantSP's question in General Skyrim LE Support
hmm... I had some strange anomalies with the light spheres(I dont know what they're called) The light was there but the center was missing and wasn't colored. I dont have a pic but its really random and I havent looked into it could it be realated to some outside weirdness like ENB/Sweetfx next time you see it toggle those I think sweetfx is scroll lock -

I use a similar capture software (puush) I dont think any of them can see directX games I use enb for capturing them :/ -
Help identify keyword error in STEP Extended patch.esp
hishutup replied to dreadflopp's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Since this topic exists... The way I find where the broken record came from is to look at the other mods in the load order. If there happens to be only one mod that adds X record then I would say it is safe to assume that is where it came from, most of the time, not all. EDIT: Ah, dreadflopp I saw your post and you uploaded an image. so in this case all the records are there except the one added by cutting room floor and by what I have previously stated, it should be safe to assume that is the broken record -
Can 2 installs of Skyrim co exist on same pc?
hishutup replied to Quahogs's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I'm afraid I don't really understand what you are asking. Is there anything that you should know but is never mentioned? Is that what you wanted to ask? for me installing STEP was a little bit rocky because I kept getting lost because everything looks the same but I was told that could never be fixed. If you read the detailed instructions everything should go smoothly -

You have to admit there are some really clever ones out there. Unless you keep a guard up at all times, it happen by accident -

It the whole vurts thing was just talked about Vurt's stress test and STEP:Extended All it does is stress the engine and isn't reliable or consistent. That reliable or consistent part is quite critical. and I am slightly biased If you are testing several NEW mods and you use the vurts test and follow a specific path and receive a crash after 20min. the second time 20min the third 8min the fourth 1hr ... all with the same LO this shows that it isn't consistent at all Now my experience with it (this was back when I didnt really understand what I was doing and without memory patch 3.0) I tested several times First was 30ish min Second was 10ish min third 30ish min the fourth 2-3hr So I figured I was good... The game crashed after 10 min of playing normally If you want to know what did it... It was errors in the Lore friendly version Monster Mod It happened around the same location but wasn't precise at all I just discovered this a few months ago :/ What would I say to test. oh... this is difficult and I don't have a perfect answer... So, this is what I have found and many may disagree... Maybe look for a testing method topic and get some people debating on it or it may have been discussed previously. I'll look later and make a new post Literally, walk around and play the game mindlessly. I generally watch youtube vids but most users games should be fine as long as memory patch 3.0 is working, mods are patched in house, no errors, not maxing VRAM or pushing your system too far. -

I use WAO also but with a interesting spin on it which will take too long to explain :/ The only thing that I hate is the real rain stuff because it looks pretty bad, to me anyhow. It also has issues with ENB rain. I cant tell if it the texture or what but I'll look into that another day -
I have not forgotten, don't worry tomorrow seems like its going to be my wiki writing day

Mod Organizer + Wrye Bash (orange and purple saves)
hishutup replied to acindron's question in Mod Organizer Support
oh, ok... |Purple: Good. Exactly synced with the current load order. |Blue: Good. Compatible with the current load order. However, the current load order includes some plugins that are not used by this save game. |Green: Good, but not in sync with the current load order. Use Load Masters to sync load order to this save. |Orange: Some plugins have changed order. the game and the Construction Set/Creation Kit will adjust for this when loaded. However, if some of the plugins that you depend made conflicting changes to the same item, a different plugin may now dominate because of the reordering. |Red: A master is missing. You should check to make sure that you have not inadvertently renamed or removed the plugin. You have no idea how proud I am of the colors on the side -
did you follow this In the Executables menu type FNV 4GB Loader into the Title text box. Next to the Binary text box, click [...], and navigate to the "...\Fallout New Vegas\" folder, select "fnv4gb.exe" and click [Open]. In the arguments text box type in "-laaexe .\FalloutMO.exe", without quotations. Click [Add], then [Close].

Im assuming that was geared toward me... okay then... Thats vague I guess start here... first load up Tes5edit and check for errors. then take the "checking for errors" line onward and share it EDIT: huh, I just read back one page and figured out what was happening... I had no memory of this, it must of been late. :/ -

oh, one thing immediately stood out vSCM_SmarterCombatMusic.esp I tried using that mod and it broke literally everything music on a brand new game toss that and see -
even Im kinda done arguing... Its up to the user... If you want to follow STEP perfectly then follow the instructions If you kinda know whats going on and you dont care then leave it Should you delete those files NO either move them to their own mod whether that be was STEP says or what you want or leave them there The only time I would see a problem is if you were installing mods into that folder and leaving them Thats not okay... but any sort of log or dynamically generated files Meh, its up to you and now Im done... I think this sums it up but Im sure someone will freak out if I missed something Im looking at you @GrantSP 0_0

Can 2 installs of Skyrim co exist on same pc?
hishutup replied to Quahogs's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I have found in doing multiple profiles that It became quite difficult to manage... Thats why I suggested two installations of MO but I am not worried about download limits I am not worried about space I am not worried about the base game folders like enb and so on In my particular case... If I want STEP I go and start mo that is setup for STEP If I want to play with a Load Order that I am working on then I start MO in that install I dont have to play with updating or forgetting about mods... I dont have to manage both installs I can reserve the custom categories for merge lists (sometimes they are really large, 30+ mods) I never really understood how people can do it all in one. I just can keep up with the maintenance and Im not a first time user by any means :P -

You can have two different mo installs That's what I did for step and my own If you are talking about two separate skyrim installs then I'm going to say no. -

pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
hishutup replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I'm just curious because those are the heaviest scripted mods off the top of my head... If you can just have a list of .esp That would be awesome And kind of a follow up to the papyrus stuff... I did mean test like walk around or whatever to see if you would get the Same notification So don't don't save with those tweaks because I don't know the long term effects... Or if there are any
