  1. I'm still surprised this isn't in STEP yet. No conflicts in WB and I've been using it since 2.2.0a and now it's MCM compatible so no more using the console to customize it. I do recommend turning off tracking while running or you'll be staring at all the bunnies while running around.Link to Mod Suggestions thread Your primary group wasn't "Registered" which is why you couldn't log-in. You should be good to go now.I always set up the primary as "Registered" and use the "Additional User Groups" to hold extras beyond that. I also use the latter for "Display Group". Admin is the exception though (i.e., we each should have only admin as primary with nothing else defined). Agree with that; however, it may be even better to use a "Solutions" tab to hold a list of links to subpages of the TG, as too many tabs can be difficult to scan. In fact, we could eventually have a form-based query of the subpages based on user input, no? The TG should articulate neatly with the Support forum (links to/from each the other).
  2. Thanks for this information, DaTras!
  3. I can confirm this as well.
  4. SOPA turned the internet community into terminators and it got shut down. CISPA has tried and failed because of vague terminology and other things. I don't think they'll make it this time either, but if the internet community would stand up against this like they did SOPA then it would be shot down quickly. CISPA just isn't getting the attention that SOPA got, though.
  5. Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) is making another go at it. What are your thoughts on CISPA? https://lifehacker.com/5984291/cispas-back-heres-what-you-need-to-know
  6. I would like to know how you're doing this since Boris himself says you can't and I myself can not while testing.
  7. You can easily replay with different classes of characters to keep the game fresh. Though for role playing classes, Skyrim is a bit harder to contain yourself to one specific class because the game isn't really set up that way. I often find myself being a "Battle Mage" or a "jack-of-all-trades".
  8. If you're using the current version of SkyRealism ENB that uses ENBSeries v0.139, the only solutions available to you are the ENB AA (which is a bit blurry) or SMAA. Hardware AA does not work due to limitations of the ENBSeries.
  9. Moved thread to Troubleshooting.
  10. Updated the thread title and link in the OP. If any AMD user wants to tackling updating this guide please feel free. It's horribly outdated at the moment. A good reference would be the NVIDIA Inspector Guide.
  11. If you unpacked the BSAs in DDSopt to use as loose files (should be the preferred method...though I haven't read the Guide since the revisions) then there is no reason to have the BSAs. The BSAs are simply a compressed file structure and if you unpack them to optimize and use the loose files then the BSAs are not needed.
  12. I always call it HRDLC, but others want to undermine me >:I always use HRDLC. I only use HDDLC in response to posts that are using that to avoid some confusion.I thought we decided on HDDLC at some point in the past because our short name for "HDDLC Optimized" does it. If you guys prefer the other way then revert me (and I'll move the mod page), I don't care which we use as long as it's consistent.I would use HRDLC to actually represent the name. I had always wondered where "HDDLC" came from.
  13. After checking out the screenshots I can say I wouldn't include this in my game. It does look quite distracting and "usual"; even weird in some places. Now if he was to make the mod selective to where this effect took place rather than everywhere then I might consider it.
  14. This is the mod that we discussed a while back, coming to the conclusion that much of the artwork style didn't fit in with the rest of Skyrim and looked out-of-place. That discussion can be found here: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1212
  15. The AMD Guide needs some serious help! I've recently renamed the page to better suit and represent the guide and product. (ATI CCC is no longer used and no longer its legal or official name)
  16. It's different for different users. I have mine set to max with no lag what-so-ever. I'll add in a note about the possible lag.
  17. I'm starting to lose my faith in humanity after reading this thread...
  18. Email it to me. I'll eat it tomorrow. :)
  19. Ambient Occlusion has the biggest impact of any of the settings. That's from our NVIDIA Inspector Guide, which was written from four independent resources, all saying the same or similar.
  20. Don't forget about this one: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29061
  21. Thanks for all your hard work, Kelmych. I've been out of commission as of late.
  22. This is what I do as well. Forgot to mention that.
  23. Cinematic is better and that's what I use. I was only echoing MT's explanation of why he included a Vanilla preset that doesn't alter the vanilla colors.

    Shoutbox

The annoying thing about the chat (for me) is that it's not in-line with the forums. It would be a great feature if it was a little box that hovered in a corner somewhere (similar to facebook). Right now, it opens in a separate window so it's annoying to multitask on the forums with. Private chat would also be great for quick one-on-one help, discussion, Q&A, etc.
  25. I agree that SkyRealism vanilla is the way to go for ENB... and it may even be the best option. I am not against ENB for Core STEP, but it would seem that this should be coupled with lighting and weather ideally (which adds too many variables to the mix). Seems like lighting is the first layer. We are updating the Anthology is all. The release is basically ready now, but for some final decisions and testing relating to Dawnguard. That probably realistically adds at least a week or two to release. Bound to be a ton of mod updates. ENB could be the first layer seeing that the vanilla preset doesn't effect the lighting at all so whatever lighting mod is chosen, ENB would have no effect on it. Do you mean "Dragonborn"?
