  1. For nVidia users there are two available LOD settings. One is for DirectX and the other for OpenGL. This is located under the Texture Filtering section in nVidia Inspector and can be adjusted in the same manner.
  2. No, I only have STEP mods installed. I'll look into it today. It's my 3-day weekend so I'll have some time.
  3. I think only a Mod or Admin can change the names, and you're welcome. :P (it was the first think that popped in my head from your username lol)
  4. Anyone with MO, should be able to do that too. MO uses FOMODs for installations.
  5. RS&E is present in Core as well, it being a Core mod. So to be honest, I don't know what the texture in Extended is from. It would take some investigation.
  6. Grabbed some shots: Vanilla >> CoreA >> CoreB >> ExtendedA >> ExtendedB  Vanilla: Possible issue there with DDSopt. Idk? CoreA and ExtendedA: Ultimate Fire Effects loaded after SMIM CoreB and ExtendedB: Ultimate Fore Effects loaded before SMIM (uses the SMIM meshes and looks better)
  7. Oh, I see it now. Instead of under Mod Removals, it's at the top under Guide Changes. I so understand why that is but it's still confusing... Maybe going forward the "Current Guide Changes" section should be more categorized for quick scanning. As my English professor in college used to say to the class, "if you can't scan the page to identify information quickly, it's not information. It's a novel and I'm not going to sit and read 146 (number of students he had that semester) novels every two weeks."
  8. The BCF must be bad.
  9. Honestly, I don't know if another admin dropped it recently or not. I thought I had gone through all these threads and properly marked them as "included" or "dropped". 2.2.4 Changelog only states that the name was changed on Nexus. Prior to that it says this: "Better Rocks & Mountains has been moved from Section G into Section F to be overwritten by Static Mesh Improvement Mod. See Section F for the revised load order." Nothing after that so another admin will have to comment because if it was dropped it wasn't documented and would have been before my time on the Admin Team. Therefore, one of the other Admins will have to step in on this one.
  10. But you see a difference?
  11. This is not the first time we're hearing this. I remember this about the load order being discussed a good while back, but I think the conversation died or got lost somewhere. This is something that should be compared and tested.
  12. >: Make compares so much more difficult.
  13. The option is right there in the file directory and in the installer...
  14. I'll be doing my usual OCD compares (somewhat like I did with the cave compares) when I get done with the DDSOpt video and will make sure the places I choose have good lighting. Hey... maybe I can trim another 10 minutes or so off the video (I doubt I could cut yet another 20 minutes off the length we'll see). Anyways this will be my next mission. Deathwing's compares are good so I'd much rather you focus on compares that have not been done yet so the the time spent is more productive. Efficiency is the goal!
  15. The best look is the aspen compare and it looks great. The rest, I feel as though the pines are a little too dark green to really match SFO.
  16. I corrected your CoT links. :)
  17. People definitely use SkyRealism (I used to recommend it every time everyone asked about ENB) and MTich is a beast. Guy is awesome and he takes the time to answer questions on his forum regularly. Knows his stuff and well respected. I think Cinematic and Realistic are the two most popular presets; however, this is going to be a personal preference for everyone. Same goes for the DOF. I'd just give a general description of each and left the user decide.
  18. Booksflats01 is the books setting on shelves that are not readable. Gold01 is the gold texture on gold items such as goblets. Goldtrim01 is the trim around the top of those gold items. The iron is the cast iron "iron" found in the game. You'll usually find it setting on a shelf in a home somewhere.
  19. The last compare (DTTL+EDT2) is the best in my opinion. Looking at the first compare set, you'll notice some lightness in within the closer grass textures. The 7th compare (earth) is good but does not carry over this lightness. It blends well, but the 8th compare blends even better because it carries over some of the lightness from the closer grass textures. Perhaps it's just the extra bumpiness though.
  20. Never assume any mod is not being updated because you don't get an notification on it. Nexus's tracking system is good but not foolproof. I manually check all my mods occasionally. For instance, SMIM is almost never on my update list even though it's tracked and updated regularly. If in doubt, always check before taking action.
  21. I have no idea how they compare. I don't use ENB. It's convinced me on my personal choices. I, in no way, was implying this for the community; only for myself personally. I don't like a lot of the lighting in ELFX (spotlights...which are completely unrealistic IMO; they are more of a cinematic effect...and fires being too orange are the glaring issues for me). I like some of the darkness of ELFX, but RLO is overall more realistic from my testing and realism is what I aim for. Though they look great, I don't really care about cinematics in my game because I aim for more realism.
