  1. I've added it to my personal play-through. It's a fairly simple and straightforward mod. I'll mark it for Testing...even though mods won't really be tested for 2.3.0 any time soon. A lot of other things need to be done before testing gets serious again, but at least it'll be there whenever that time comes.
  2. The power efficiency is due to the new Maxwell architecture which is in it's second generation with these new cards. For those of you that can wait another year to a year and a half, the Pascal architecture will be out in 2016. Btw, 800M series is only for notebooks. There aren't even any drivers for download for a "desktop" version on Nvidia. Keep in mind that some articles forget to include the "M" when they discuss such things.
  3. Downloaded, I'll try it out tomorrow and post anything useful if I found since I've only been using your vanilla version.
  4. I run the normal vanilla version of Vividian and average around 50FPS on my GTX760. I've not tried the performance version of vanilla yet, but don't really need to either.
  5. How detailed? As much detail as you are comfortable giving! Even if it doesn't make it into the Guide, it will help me to better understand from a user perspective which, in turn, will help me to better make decisions on what is relevant to the Guide and what isn't. So give me all the detail you can muster! Keep in mind that this section will be it for the enblocal file. There will not be any seperate, more detailed guide as there will be for the enbseries file. So all relevant info will need to be included here in this section. As for the rest of you post, I will look into that stuff once I eat some dinner myself.
  6. It's quite possible that I missed something since it was a quick install and test (about 30mins of playing). I may revisit it in the future, however, Vividian Vanilla is right on the money for what I was looking for. I sometimes forget that I have it installed because it's just vanilla colors enhanced and enriched...all the vanilla "look and feel" is still there and that is what I was looking for to test for an STEP project that is helpfully coming soon (got about 3-4 projects going at once right now).
  7. Use the Guide however you wish. It is just that...a Guide, not a Bible. It will in no way limit your options. STEP as it is, will provide a very modded game which will look far better than vanilla while still maintaining stability. If there are other options you want to use rather than what we have in the Guide, by all means use it! Many users just install the Guide and nothing more because it provides a nearly complete overhaul of the game; however, just as many users only use the Guide as a starting point and then add on top of it the mods they want. I do this in my personal profile for my gameplay but adding around 10 extra mods on top of the Guide and then topping it off with an ENB. The sky is the limit if you know how to mod! We just get you started and with a stable base.
  8. Already, it's been a long while so I'm assuming everyone is good with the Installation section. Now we're getting into some better stuff. The next section for review is "Editing the Enblocal INI". ENB authors, if you can please give this section some extra attention. We need to make sure the descriptions of the parameters are accurate and the recommendations are solid. This section has been updated to v0.264. Since Boris resolved the issues with v0.264, I'll be using it going forward. I've also backtracked and updated the ENB Choices page for this version (it only involved changing the text).
  9. In MO, if a mod is completely overwritten it will have a grey lighting bolt icon. If you every see one of those next to a mod, then that mod is completely unnecessary. That is the fastest why to tell without going into the Conflict tab.
  10. Incorrect. In a STEP install, there are 20 files that are not conflicted.
  11. Well, it is still needed for females at least. They were floating on my back during testing. Males were okay though.
  12. For BSW, yes. I actually created a second install of it called Better Shaped Weapons - Extended so I can also keep my Core profile set up properly for the rare occasion I need it for testing...like when I tested this.
  13. Nothing I know of. I've never really noticed it because when I've playing I'm rarely looking at the grass and walls.
  14. I have to admit that I didn't see any issues to begin with but I tried this out anyway on a full STEP install. It creates far too much stretching/scrunching. This problem is that you've narrowed the mesh so any textures made specifically for the vanilla mesh are going to look terrible like these do above.
  15. Yeah, I got what you meant. I was just adding to it with an issue in the MO installer. There's nothing wrong with the DSR FOMOD code in regards to the mods detection...MO just doesn't work properly using the internal installer right now. The error in the FOMOD above is a very quick and easy fix. I'm sure Neo will have the corrected file up later...for now, I've fixed it myself.
  16. Well, if CaBaL retextured the problem areas to fit the meshes/UV mapping correctly then that would fix the issue. I think (not positive) the texture is: texturesarchitecturewhiterunwrstonebase01.dds
  17. Basically anyone dual-wielding staffs would have some issues with this. It would also seem that Tannin needs to do some work on the internal FOMOD installer. Neo coded it correctly but the internal installer will not detect the mods installed; whereas, the external installer will. There are at least two mods in STEP like this currently.
  18. Mod instructions have been updated for v1.7 release. Please remove your previous installation and packs (if installed separately) to ensure a clean update. After updating, also remember to run FNIS.
  19. DSR mod instructions have been updated: https://wiki.step-project.com/Dual_Sheath_Redux#Recommendations Please remember to run FNIS after updating.
  20. STEP doesn't have this issue. Try: https://wiki.step-project.com/AMidianBorn_Whiterun
  21. And the test result are in! This is two fold and it would seem as though xxx78 is correct... Core users playing female characters and using the vanilla body need this mod. Some female body replaces are known to clip so if you use one of those, you might be stuck with it. Core users playing male characters do not seem to need this mod. I tried several sex, race, and weight variations when testing this. Extended users do not seem to need it at all. All sex, race, and weight variations I tried seemed to be okay without this mod installed. I am assuming this has something to do with the XPMS, FNIS, and DSR combination. After doing some research (everyone knows by now I'm a realism guy), I also find the longer arrows to be too exaggerated for Extended users. Again, Core users may still need the longer arrows if there is an issue of them being too short and coming past the bow while drawing; however, I did not see any of this during my short testing. My recommendation will be for Core users to install this mod and for Extended user to skip it/deactivate it. As such, Extended users should then install the quiver options with Better Shaped Weapons as those are great improvements over vanilla. This will need verification from at least one other Staff member before the installation instructions are changed/updated.
  22. This is a good question. I've seen Hodilton's recent videos of the Dawn of... series and I am quite impressed with them. These mods seem like they might fit into Extended as they do change some things but in a vanilla-friendly manner. None of the changes look "out of place" and appear as if they could have been a part of the vanilla game from the start. Therefore, I would be very much interested in seeing this comparison done. If I were you, I'd hit up Hodilton and ask him how he did it. I've spoken with him before. He's a very nice guy and was more than willing to answer my noob questions about video rendering. I'm sure he'd be willing to tell you how he was am to do this for his videos. YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/hodilton Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/2388835/?
  23. I'll have to look into it later today.
  24. That requires extra work than just unticking and reticking a box...I will contemplate on it while sleeping. ...yeah, figure out how I'm going to do that. Haha!
  25. Thank you for this! I've already taken your corrections and applied them. Your contributions in this manner are most welcome! My grammar is horrible and I'm not afraid to admit that! While going through school I was a straight-A student; however, if I had a B in any subject is was always English class. Then in college those B's turned to C's...
