  1. That is true, but I still think it's a bit too much. Somewhere between Vanilla and Low would have been more suited for a "vanilla" preset, imo. I'm sure I'll get used to it the more I play. I'm loving everything else I'm seeing so far.
  2. So far I'm liking what I see here. I have to say that the vanilla saturation seems to be a more saturated than vanilla actually is, though. The colors are more vibrant than normal vanilla.
  3. Mod page updated. Nothing actually changed for the install instructions. I simply updated the wording of a few options.
  4. You have to have something missing. That is the only way you wouldn't be eligible for the Extended Patch. The patches and compilation are two different things. The patches will install a plugin and the compilation will only install meshes/textures. Verify your list against the OP here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/9370-step-compilation/
  5. Thanks! I already have it downloaded and will update the mod page shortly.
  6. The only game I've ever played on a 5" floppy is Junior Jeopardy.
  7. It will be looked at, for sure.
  8. It's not in STEP anymore. It was dropped a long time ago, but the mods that replaced it were also dropped. Therefore, I've added the testing tag to see if it's needed or not in STEP.
  9. A bit late, but I've added the testing tag to this so it will show up in testing for re-evaluation.
  10. Turn the FOMOD installer on: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#MO_Plugin_Extensibility
  11. You can clean them without any issues. The name change isn't an issue. The files will still be the xxx.ESM names in the end so it's not an issue. The name of the mod in the left pane is just whatever the user wants it to be and has effect on the outcome.
  12. Okay, there are two records that need to be forwarded from CRF or at least looked at (0001A6AF, 0005AE91). I've forwarded them into my own custom patch. So on the surface this mod looks like it's good to use.
  13. Thanks for your words! You are welcome and it's always nice to have you around.
  14. Okay, I locked the other thread. Again, anyone use this and any issues? Besides the beards?
  15. I'm curious if anyone still uses this mod? I'm wanting to get the Mer races a bit of a makeover for my playthrough because when I think of elves I think of a "fair folk" which live a long and healthy life. Here's the lore: As such I've always felt the Mer in Skyrim to be too rough around the edges. They all looks as though they've lived 2 centuries already and are getting ready to croak over in the next few years. EEO fixes their appearance to be more inline with my vision of the Mer race to look like. I'm just curious if anyone uses this and what are the issues, if any, with it.
  16. Ah, Neverwinter Nights! I still have the diamond version of that game on disk. Spent multiple playthroughs with different characters on that game. The mage was my favorite. Unlike Skyrim mages, you could be a straight up mage and still be the game! Now that was probably my first introduction into D&D type of games. I tried Morrowind, but couldn't get into it and never played Oblivion it so Skyrim has been my first introduction into TES. :)
  17. I love hearing reading these stories. Thanks for sharing! These stories are bringing up some good memories! Speaking of mecha games. I kinda got a lost in a not so well known title of a good while called, Ring of Red. It wasn't anything fancy, but was very addicting. I guess I've been all over the board when it comes to console games, but 9/10 times I'll play a game for the storyline over anything else.
  18. I always use FRAPS when checking my FPS. It also doubles as my main capture software so I never catch these things during upgrading. Good info.
  19. I had ATi cards back in the day, but became any nvidia fan when I started having trouble with their performance and hardware issues over time. I've never had any issues with nvidia. That goes both ways and is subjective, but there it is.
  20. That totally sounds like you, Kryptopyr! haha! You're modding skills is a testament to that. As for Final Fantasy, 8 was the only one I had played until X (10) came out. That was a good one, but not a story-rich as 8 was. I actually never finished 10 because I had gotten to the very end, was leveling myself up some and trying to get the ultimate weapons before taking on Sin. I let one of my friends play and he overwrote my 80+ hour save. I didn't have the will to start over, so I never play it again. After that I played XIII (13) and the story was "okay", but not great. It was relatively short as well so I didn't play much of it after the main story ended.
  21. STEP doesn't support NMM. It's not powerful or feature rich enough to be able to handle a STEP install without a lot of user intervention.
  22. I played Dragon Age too and that's what got me into Skyrim, actually. I know what you mean about Steam. I was an earlier adopter of it and back then it was BUGGY, really buggy! So much do that many users would crack their games they bought to avoid the software, altogether. It, as you know, has come a long way and is now the go-to for nearly all PC gaming. The last time I purchased a disk version of a game was a long, long time go ago.
  23. First, ignore MO's recommendations for where it wants the mods in STEP. Second, install the mods in the order they are in the Guide. Be sure you have all the LOOT rules we recommend and then let LOOT sort your plugins. No need to match them to the mods in the left pane. Third, install any mods you want on top of STEP, including an ENB Preset if you want. Be aware you will have to work out the conflicts for additional mods on your own. Asking for support in the support forums here is always welcomed as well.
