1. Concerning the Birds nest issue, I'm now confused. Is it Birds of Skyrim or Birds and Flocks that adds the floating nests? Because Birds of Skyrim isn't even in STEP or SR:LE, and I'm pretty sure it would conflict with more than just ETaC if it adds nests all over the place... Also if it's Birds of Skyrim then it has no place in the REGS - STEP Extended Patch. Well you're still going to need to have TPD activated in order to use the official STEP Patches, so honestly, I'd wait a day or two if I were you, I already prepared a navmesh-cleaned, paarthunax-free version of SHT, just gotta wait for ItsMeToo's reply :)
2. @Wing: Alright, I looked at your load order, and to be fairly honest, that's a lot of mods, most of which aren't in STEP. I can't really tell you what's conflicting with 3DNPC on there, only TES5Edit could. I am suspecting it might be the Perfect Whiterun mod though. Anyway I can't tell people to load 3DNPC THAT early because it could actually cause problems then for some configurations. The place specified for it in the guide is actually chosen in a way so that it would not break any of the other mods in STEP/REGS.
3. (Just a question for you Ganda, does the RRR Nightgate Inn look good to you now? Since you're the one who reported the "small" issue with it in the first place :D )
4. Version 3.0.3 released, it fixes the mayhem in Riverwood, you only need to grab the ETaC Replacer. Also added a note about not installing the Sky Haven Temple mod until I get the issues sorted out. Err, could you please edit your post to put the load order between spoiler tags like this to reduce the amount of information on the screen?
List goes here
I guess I'll fix the SkyBirds issue in the STEP Extended patch then, I don't think a single nest would warrant an entire esp slot...
5. Well it would seem I owe you an apology then, I was under the impression that you were saying that the other guy was an idiot for claiming that there was a difference, I must have misunderstood you.
6. Well anything over 25/30 FPS should be playable, especially if you're used to an FPS like that, it's just that one cannot deny that there is indeed a noticeable difference between 30,40,60 and 100 FPS, which was my point all along. :) Also, since I started playing my games at 60FPS most of the time, I started to find that anything under 40 FPS was a bit too choppy, so yeah...
7. As I'm sure all of you are aware, there is an old myth going around about the eye being able "to only perceive up to 30 FPS" Now the reason why I'm posting this video here is just to hopefully teach a thing or two about this issue to people who still believe that myth in this day and age, since I saw Octopuss claiming on the nexus forums that there is no difference between 40 and 60FPS, let alone values above that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrfkX7J_LVs Of course, this is just a small video for a start but it should at least convince anyone who's got it in their heads that 'eyes can only see x FPS" to actually do some research instead of blindly believing that 30 FPS should be the standard for gaming just because they've never even seen 60 FPS. EDIT: And here's a small web page with a test in Flash or HTML5.
8. Ugh, completely forgot about LAL... Apparently there's just 3 navmesh conflicts, 2 of which are not really conflicts but just CK reordering the same connectors, but the third should not pose any problem other than followers/NPCs acting a bit weird if they go in a certain area, I'll check ingame when I've got some time...I don't see any navmesh conflict with REGS - Cities though, only DragonmournInn and ETaC - Complete.
9. I can't really help you with the requiem related issues, but both of you seem not to read the notes on REGS: Realistic Room Rental is NOT compatible with Requiem.
10. The Sky Haven Temple mod adds a quest that ties Helgen Reborn and the Fight the Thalmor together, it also makes SHT upgreadable like a hearthfires home, so unlike the previous mod, you'll actually have to work to rebuild the temple. Even braziers require firewood to burn. The Recruit More Blades option is just that: an option. And yes you can make a patch in the CK but it actually requires setting EFLX-Exteriors and LoS as false masters (with Wrye Bash), then creating a new .esp file and loading that file together with the 2 masters. I have a better idea, I'll contact ItsMeToo and offer him to host a version of the mod that is cleaned and does not contain any of the Paarthunax/Blades changes, that way we avoid all compatibility problems altogether. Funny that you would object to a guide mandating which follower mod to use if you're using SR:LE which already does the same ::P:Anyway, the EFF incompatibility, as stated at the start of the guide, is only minor, you will still get a working setup, you just won't be able to recruit more than 3 blades (which is a non vanilla feature added by the Sky Haven Temple mod)Hopefully, ItsMeToo will agree to hosting a version that does not conflict with EFF/Paarthunax mods and this will become a non-issue. The problem with either/or options is that with the actual format of packs, we're pretty much limited in what we can do, simply renaming a mod category for example requires copying the contents of the whole list again. The Pack template seems to be still in beta. If we were to do that, the incompatibility list would be thrice as long as the guide itself ::P:I think we'll stick to STEP/SR:LE compatibilities only, as it is impossible to track down the tens of thousands of mods on the nexus, any one of which could potentially be incompatible with a mod in the guide.Just like with STEP and SR:LE, if you want to add additional mods you'll have to check their own pages to check for incompatibilities.Aurora Village does not conflict with Oakwood by the way, at least that's what Aurora's page said and my initial testing showed. (We didn't include both because the area would be overcrowded) Huh, that's weird, because I had not changed anything in the ETaC Replacer in versions 3.0.1 and 3.0.2. I'll revert the file in the download too, maybe it was a wild edit... Yeah, that's exactly what I said the other day about 3DNPC definitely being in the wrong order on BOSS :DHowever I'm not getting any crash in Whiterun, Are you using mods other than those in REGS/STEP? A loadorder would be appreciated if it's the case. Yep, you can revert to Merchants & More while we try to find a solution to this issue. Thanks for the feedback guys :D
11. Nah I was just referring to the giant quest glitch, I know tcl makes all the AI loop their current animation endlessly (in this case the spawning animation for the dragon) :)
12. I just downloaded BDS and checked it in TES5Edit: Order does not matter as long as the patch is loaded after both mods, because the only two records conflicting between BDS and NSutR are 00026FD3 and 00026FD9, which are both overwritten by the patch.Putting NSutR so early in the load order could actually make some of its changes get overwritten by other mods and might not be ideal. Plus it's a landscaping mod so it belongs in that category :P
13. I know I said I would stay away from this topic, but I have just one thing to say: Up until recently, people who claimed that "the government is watching you" were ridiculed and disregarded as conspiracy theorists, but I'm pretty sure by now everyone who's not living under a rock knows what the NSA was doing. I don't care much about the Alien stories and similar stuff, all I'm saying is that you shouldn't claim to know everything or laugh at people who try and think outside the box instead of blindly believing everything that's on their favorite channel.
14. Pretty much. There's a patch for everything that needs it in the pack, I wouldn't overlook such a well know incompatibility :P
15. Wrong thread, I think :o
16. But the BSW-DSR Patch is an option in the BSW fomod installer, so you can't really install it separately from BSW unless you do it manually (which would be a pain too, since there are multiple options)
17. Here is a video by Gopher where he does encounter the Giant quest glitch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=37xAMUQc1oY#t=1890 (Occurs shortly after 31:30, in case the timestamp doesn't work) MOD EDIT: Also check out the video around 32:45 for another glitch with higher uGrids.
18. Thanks buddy :DEDIT: Since we're talking about EFF, can anyone confirm whether it works correctly with Interesting NPCs as well?I know 3DNPC works perfectly fine with UFO - Compatibility Edition, and not compatible with Amazing Follower Tweaks (well it is, but you can't dismiss 3DNPC followers), but I don't know about EFF.
19. Version 3.0.2: [*]Added a tentative fix for those using ELFX - Exteriors, to remove some of the floating lights. [*]Added a patch for No Snow under the roof, ETaC, and Realistic Room Rental Enhanced. [*]Fixed the FOMOD installer which was not installing the Helgen Reborn - Cyrodiil Frontier patch. [*]Removed a few minor clipping issues which would appear if using No Snow under the Roof together with Winterhold Expanded Ruins.
20. Will have another look at it, I did change something with that house earlier, but didn't notice any floating snow directly in the CK.EDIT: Yup, it was already fixed in 3.0.1.
21. Woops, guess I better keep the 3.0.1 update hidden until I fix that too then :p Which one of the abandoned houses would that be? D:EDIT: Isn't the Hroldan Inn in the reach anyway? There's no snow near there :P
22. You don't have to install that mod to use REGS. Every mod on that list is optional :p Oh and there's no issue between NSutR and Winterhold Expanded, except for a small stair step that pops out of the ground. I fixed that, and will add it to the NSutR patch this afternoon (working on a ELFX exteriors tentative fix at the moment)
23. Well that sucks, at least it's still under warranty... For book prices, there are 5 categories of book in the game afaik: - Cheap books: (Only includes the Biography of Barenziah, the Brief History of the Empire and a couple of very short books) cost 2-3 septims. - Common books: (Religion and basic lore) vary between 5 and 8 septims, their text is relatively short (2-4 pages). - Valuable books: 10-14 septims. Longer books with interesting stories. - Rare books: They are rare indeed, and a lot of them seem to be just hand placed. I've not even found most of them in my previous playthroughs. Cost 20,25 or 30 depending on the size. - Skill books: Usually have a base cost of around 60. There's also a few random books that Bethesda didn't categorize like Immortal Blood or Mysteries of Talara.
24. Yes and any order. Unless you're using another custom control map (like an xbox controller one)
25. Fair enough, mods in testing and accepted are easy to find with that feature (Which I had not noticed) :) But what about the second point, with all the other threads getting pushed back further down the forum? D: Currently there's only 4 mods that aren't tagged as "in testing" on the first page. I'm kinda worried some good suggestions might get overlooked.
