OK - I do have that mod installed in my load order (excellent stealth mod). Thank you for bringing that up. It's bizarre, because I've had the Stealth mod installed for a very long time and I have restarted the game many times and have never run into the issue. One thing I can say is that I was wearing an iron helm during another playthrough right before I decided to start a new game to check on the arrow thing. -

I decided to give the Groovtama XPMS Extended mod another try today and this time my character did not get a full set of iron armor at the very beginning of the game and (what I previously mentioned) was not wearing the iron helmet during the character creation screen. I have no idea why that happened yesterday when I tried the mod - very very strange bug that I've never encountered before. This time I decided the try reducing the scale of the bow weapon slightly - it didn't fix the arrow issue either. I did select the RaceMenu Plugin option in the installer that is partly described as including "a script that corrects drawn Weapon scales, formerly known as "Proper Weapon Scale"." TechAngel, remember that SRB is pushing for Enhanced Camera and the female short arrow issue (I'm assuming) will be obvious with that mod. So unless you can come up with a solution for this (maybe I installed something wrong or missed a function), it sounds like it 'could' be choice between having funny-looking quivers (using CQLA) or having funny-looking notched arrows on female players (using BSW - and perhaps very obvious if Enhanced Camera is used also). Now I thought Groovtama's XPMS Extended mod was supposed to include some kind of "ProperWeaponScale" script that fixed this if the option is selected in the installer (I even see the script file in the mod's installation folder)... Even in the forum for XPMS, Groovtama responds to someone about this issue, making it seem as though it should be fixed by his mod: "Female characters have a hand scale of 0.8517 which affects the size of the bow. The bow doesn't reach the other hand in the back with its size. Everything gets counter scaled by PSW by 1/0.8517 to make bows the right size for females. The same goes for arrows. That some stuff will clip is known to me. Ether have PSW and have it fixed and no rescaling of most weapons when drawn, or don't have PSW and live with the screwed up female hand scale problem bethesda made." I don't understand why it's not working for me... -

Got back to it - so I tried increasing a couple parameters in the Racemenu: Bow Scale - just made the bow larger; Quiver Scale - just made the quiver larger. Neither one of those made the arrow longer. I didn't see a setting to be able to do that. -

Woah - so I tried to check out the arrow scale with Groovetama's XPMS Extended mod without starting a new save and using the command prompt's 'sexchange' command. I didn't notice a difference. So I just started a new game to test and noticed something I never noticed before. While the carriage ride was happening the front carriage ran over a small object in the road and jolted a bit... then when I finally got to the character creator before execution block, when the camera panned to my face I was wearing an iron helmet. And there were some very strange selection options in the creator... Anyway, I ran out of time for now. I must put this on hold for a couple hours and will test the arrow length thing then. -

I would tend to agree with you, but will it be an issue if/when enhanced camera is implemented? Also, I'm going to try out SRB's XPMS recommendation (which you previously mentioned using also). I noticed that some of the mod description for it mention it having some kind of weapon scaling feature, which may end up fixing the arrow issue. I'll let you know what I discover in my setup when I get it installed (which will be soon). -

Yo... I just checked myself to see if there's still an issue with arrow length, and there is. If you create a female character, give yourself a daedric bow and arrow. Set your view to 3rd person, and swing the view around so you can view your front. Then notch an arrow. The head of the arrow is nearly behind/in the top of the hand. I even tried an iron arrow afterwards and the iron arrow head is cutting into the top of the hand too. So apparently the arrow length issue is still there. I am using the current STEP Extended recommended XPMS skeleton, unless the other one being proposed changes anything. -
Any word on whether v4 adds anything that ELFX doesn't already touch?

I would really like to see this mod recognized by STEP and placed into the guide if it doesn't cause any issues. I don't like the report of being launched into the air upon death - it would be nice if this could be figured out first and resolved somehow. Despite the aggravation of it sometimes, I always find it interesting to watch my character naturally fall upon death as the thrill of it all wanes off and I get ready to reload... It would suck to have some weird supernatural rocket man crap happen during that time (or have something like a skeever cause the player to fly back a few meters from getting fatally munched in the ***/buttocks). lol BTW - Techangel, are you testing with the Realistic Ragdolls and Force mod with realistic force option installed? Wouldn't that mod affect what is happening to the player upon death? -

Going by the compares that you had up before (lol - that's all I got, besides current STEP), I agree that "Rustic" had the best clothes and by the compares did look pretty white. I also agree that the idea that SCO makes the children look like their parents is a good concept - they looked kind of weird in the compares though (like someone else said), but Tech says they look better in-game. Someone else referred to "RS" hair looking like "Apachii" (ApachiiSkyHair). I agree with that - "RS" would be good if all the adults in a mod list were using ApachiiSkyHair (they don't in Core or Extended STEP though). I think they all look better than current STEP. I must admit that all I really used were the compares though (and my recollection of current STEP children). Tech - maybe the people of Skyrim all secretly worship Dibella and sleep around considerably, lol (the children not looking like their "parents"). -
I have this mod in my load order, use the more transparent version, and use the high amount of splashes MCM option. I think it adds a lot to the rain effect and makes rain much more immersive in the game (so I'm not in the minority either).

OK, I was thinking it was like what SRB was saying. Now that clears things up. So this is referring to this bug in the bug list: "Going into ragdoll mode when weapons are out causes you to be launched into the air." -

And "flying on death" means what? Like, when you die - you see your body go up into the air really high in 3rd person; you see the ground below get farther and farther away in 1st person; you can control your motion as you go up into the air after dying (or you are just thrown up by some unexplainable force)? -

If you are trying to use enblocal.ini or driver AA, you might want to disable AA in the game ini - otherwise it's overkill and will likely be sapping some FPS. What I like to use for AA is something called "SMAA". You can install it the same way as for Skyrim, so you can find instructions for installing it in the STEP ENB Guides. For SMAA, you would list it as a "proxy" in enblocal.ini. Caliber? EssArrBee has been testing FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting and may replace Nevada Skies with it when he gets back to FNV modding again - he's been focusing on Skyrim recently. -

So basically we were getting good ragdolls for playable races, but missing all of the good ragdolls for everything else that the mod covered (prior to having the mod installed and with the .esp placed into "optional" folder). -

For Skyrim I get higher FPS doing it through Nvidia drivers versus ENBoost - due to that, I vote drivers... yet ENBoost works well for me in Skyrim and lousy for me in FNV. -

Interesting - definitely a difference (your pics). I use the regular constraints settings (lossless) and with those settings when it ran the process the resulting files were not modified at all - same file sizes and everything as the originals.
