  1. Links? I have no ideas which mods you're talking about I think you mean Erkeil Real Skyrim Overhaul for ERSO and the other I'm throwing darts at a board. For ERSO if it's the above then no but I'll look at it.
  2. Script mods add some too but the easiest one to trim down is textures. Always check your new downloads for a textures folder if it has one use DDSOpt on it and optimize it with extreme prejudice (yes I take an extremist view). Although I would like to add that some mods shouldn't be optimized; for instance I don't think a lot of the water mods play nice with DDSOpt.
  3. Does STATUS give information about textures? You may also wish to speak to Aiyen he was working on a way to use TES5Edit to find troublesome textures.
  4. Agreed. Though I disagree with Neovalen's suggestions in some cases. I think mods such as Immersive Creatures and SkyTEST should be installed last and individually as they modify alot of AI and add so many creatures.
  5. IIRC you can click the view forum thread and then say follow this topic and I believe the instant notification option sends an email.
  6. I have my Steam in Program Files on my OS drive with no problems. Also don't forget the best buddy to moving Steam games from one drive to another. Steam Mover
  7. I optimize anything with a texture folder to 1k with select things being 2k with 1k normals (mostly interior objects). It's not that I can't tell the difference between 4k and 2k or 2k and 1k but tbh I'd rather have a more stable install with fewer problems than more eye candy. Follow my suggestions above and you should eliminate most of your freezes and then you'll need to troubleshoot any other mods that may be causing problems. @statsmonster Aiyen and I also discovered another likely culprit for spell related freezes. If you still ave problems after optimizing Deadly Spell Impacts either optimize or disable Burn Freeze and Shock Effects.
  8. Did you have to make any TES5Edits to get it to work or were they largely the same changes needed for RLO? Should we maybe move this top of conversation to another thread? I think I made one for EL&FX somewhere in this forum. Also what do you mean b "no way" lighting situations you mean there was absolutely no light?
  9. No you're not supposed to use both it's one or the other. (Though I suppose if you really wanted to play with TES5Edit you could make them both work together like they used to)
  10. Don't use the new beta 0.99 it's buggy
  11. Oh also for SkyRe you should install it after the main Skyrim Revisited guide and follow. Link:I plan on doing so as soon as I finish re-installing Skyrim Revisited now I have all of the DLC.
  12. Yeah I'm quite torn whether or not I even want to use CFM anymore. Technically there no harm in using it (no .esp) but on the other hand it is one extra mod all the same (2 if you use Oni Edition). Plus if you have any problems it'll probably have much better support.
  13. Ok mate you need to 1. Calm down 2. Optimize all of your landscape textures to a max of 2k with 1k Normals (recommended is full 1k landcape) with 2k + 1k Normals for city textures. 3. Use alternate start to create your character. and before choosing your start point using the Mara statue go into the MCM and start and setup all of your mods. 4. Then pick "I own property in one of the Holds" I usually pick Vlindrel Hall in Markarth and then try to find a spot you can fairly regularly reproduce the freeze. I'm working a method to eliminate most of the freezes in the wilderness but will not post it until I'm 100% certain it works for me. I totally understand your frustration I've spend several weeks installing Skyrim too and am still trying to comb through the causes for freezes such as yours. Mine usually happen in the Wilderness. I would also like to mention that the 3.1 RAM limit is a baseline and yours my be lower or higher (lower it sounds like) The only surefire way to avoid it is to decrease your texture resolution as I said above.
  14. I'd been wanting an SSD for ages so I decided to wait on getting all of the DLC's (until the day before yesterday when I bought the legendary edition). I got two about a 5-7 weeks ago. Two Corsair Neutron GTX 240GB for $340 on Newegg through a promo code and rebate (they were either $219 or $229 each normally) Amazing fast the one in my laptop which is running Windows 8 and my programs (including Skyrim Revisited) loads Skyrim from Mod Organizer in about 15-20 seconds with a full SR install plus some extras. Now it's time to wait a week or two (unless someone sees a deal) and get a card from EVGA. I'm leaning towards a 670 4GB and I don't think I'd settle for anything less.
  15. In addition to posting feedback to the RLO nexus page I would also suggest trying out Enhanced Lighting and FX. You may need to tweak a few things as it does modify some exterior cells now IIRC.
  16. Try it without AA and if that fixes it if your computer can handle the load find an ENB you like. If I'm not playing with an ENB I don't use AA so I never noticed that seam and I still haven't when using MSAA through an ENB.
  17. Yeah though it can kind of be assumed I would imagine that even if only part of the team is releasing "minor" patches it would be a matter of pride to fix something they caused in the latest "major" patch.
  18. I can't quite place my finger on it my I'm liking the look of version II.
  19. I know that much but how are you determining which values go to which texture; or even isolating which texture it is by using TES5Edit.
  20. I'll use my settings (using Aiyen's ENB preset as a base) as an example With Skylighting On With Skylighting Off
  21. I'm posting this here because the Pre-Release Feedback thread keeps getting off topic and I would like to hear from Neovalen on the current state of the rewrite and offer ideas and suggestions.
  22. Just try it with .168 I think that's the one they meant anyways.
  23. If you have a proper IRC admin who knows what they are doing you won't have to worry about invades and trolls. I used to fansub and was the driving force behind getting some of the groups I worked with to use IRC and administrated the channels and dealt with the bot upkeep. I could set one up if you decided which IRC network you'd like to use. Then whenever the mods and admins joined I'd give them the proper privileges and setup some chat filter bots.
  24. This one should be more along the lines of what you're looking for. Link:
  25. Press your * key in game it's ENB's built in framerate counter.
