  1. Moving traps make noise before run for your lives removes all warnings for me
  2. I installed REGS the other day with SR:LE conflict resolution. Since then SR:Le's conflict resolution patch has been updated and it looks to me like some of your SR:LE patching is no longer needed. As I am trying to be better at using TES5EDIT I am wondering if there is an easy way to find these. If I would load the two conflict resolution patches (SR:LE's and REGS-SR:LE Patch) in TES5EDIT is there a function to find all identical records?
  3. Ok thanks! Can you play the main quest at level 1? I'm thinking no since there are dragons involved. If so at which level should one pursue the main quest?
  4. I remember kryptopyr posting on the STEP forums about her mods and compatibility with requiem but I cant seem to find it now. Stuff is harder to find, at least for me, since the forums moved but I might be doing something wrong. Anyway, I seem to remember that there should be patches for complete crafting overhaul and stealth skills rebalanced but I can't find them at the momement. Maybe I shouldn't use stealth skills rebalanced and just go for a full requiem experience since I haven't tried it yet. I really like the upgrade levelled items spell and blacksmiths storage chests though, even though some (or most) would consider using them to be cheating. Maybe I won't use them when I come to think about it since requiem seems to be focused on the opposite of what these two mods do. I really want to use kryptopyrs thieves guild followers mod though (Brynjolf and vex, Karliah etc), any idea if these are compatible? I am also using moonlight tales and enhanced skyrim followers - Aela the huntress. Have you checked compatibility with these? Edit: after searching the forums some more I found your (@smile44) post in the complete crafing overhaul remade thread about requiem, maybe thats what I remember and mixed that up with the patches for SkyRe. I follow these forums on my mobile device and use the new content functions so I end up reading almost everything that gets posted on these forums so things gets mixed up in my mind, sorry about that.
  5. Really excited about this. I have never tried Requiem but having read the manual I am dying to try it and want to install it on top of my Step extended+REGS+cot/ele/elfx/enb+krptopyr mods install. I am guessing this guide will help alot. I am currently using step, regs and sr:le for reference when doing conflict resolution.
  6. Sorry to spam but I am really trying to understand TES5Edit and making patches and I decided to start over with ELE and patching it and I am following your guide. Why is Block 0, sub-block 8, 000DDF7C, XCCM - Sky/Weather from Region & DATA - Flags from USKP not forwarded? Did you miss it or am I missing something?
  7. I have some questions about ELE and conflict resolution with USKP. I am trying to do this without following the guide and hoping I can do it quicker since I then don't have to switch windows and check record numbers. Is the principle to forward all changes from USKP when it comes to XLCN, XCMO, XCCM etc or are there situations where these should not be forwarded? And when it comes to DATA - Flags (skylight), should these be forwarded to ELE from USKP (and ELFX) even if TES5Edit doesn't show a conflict but does so after this record has been forwarded? One final question, is there a way when applying a filter in TES5Edit to make it show all conflicts but not those water height records since these don't seem to need forwarding?
  8. What I do is install the mod twice using a custom name. You could install consistent older people normal and then again and rename it to consistent older people BOYD.
  9. So, to install steam workshop mods, I'm guessing subscribe to them, start launcher through steam and wait for mod to download, 7-zip the .bsa and .esp thats been downloaded to the data directory, install the .7z with MO, unsubscribe and delete .bsa and .esp from data folder?
  10. Installing REGS for the first time and noticed that the links to the Steam Installation Guide are broken
  11. I haven't tried regs and 2 just about to dl the mods :-) hope you'll announce here when it's safe to follow your guide?
  12. It's called magelight, if I remember correctly. I'll check tes5edit and change it myself. The difference in first and third person bugs me and after thinking about i think maybe it's first person that should be altered rather than third since the light produced by the light ball looks like it should be cold. I definitely thing magic light should be brighter than that from a torch but it's probably because I'm used to d&d where magic is more powerful and eccentric than in tes.
  13. If i was a mod creator, I would create a new spell that, when cast, would function like candlelight but with a radius like that of a torch and similar lighting in both first and third person view. Maybe instead of a floating ball the light can come from the casters hand. When engaging combat, the light would burst into a much larger radius and cast a buff spell, like rally, and drain the caster of a proper amount of magicka. So if anyone reads this and gets inspired :)
  14. Thanks Kelmych, will check that. Doesn't seem to be compatible with ele/elfx though (?) and not recommended with enb, but maybe I can use its optional file only. Edit: combined with this maybe https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49472/?
  15. Thanks PlanetExp, of course I can google candlelight mods myself. My question and thoughts was more like if anyone else thought this a problem and found a good mod to replace vanilla candlelight. I know one was recommended by one of the enb's that's recently become popular here on the step forums, maybe vividian, but this only increses the radius of the light, just like some of the mods you googled. It doesn't seem to fix the big difference between first and third person view that doesn't occur when lighting a room using a torch. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. I use STEP Extended with skylight ENB with ELE and ELFX lighting mods as recommended by Skylight ENB. I don't know how torches are modified by theese mods but they work much better than the spell candleligt imo. With these mods and ENB dungeons can at times be really dark and i prefer to use spells to light the room but the spell candleligt doesn't work really good. First of all it produces much less light than the torch, which to me is strange since it's a spell and a magic light should at least light up the room as much as a torch does. Secondly, candlelight look completely different in first person and in third person view. In first person it lights the room a little, but not as much as a torch. In third person in almost gives nightvision making me see much further than the light it produces. Is there a fix for theese problems?
  17. Life has no meaning a priori… It is up to you to give it a meaning, and value is nothing but the meaning that you choose/Jean-Paul Sartre Another answer could be 42 :-) Sorry for off topic...
  18. Thanks CJ2311, seems you have the answers to all my questions lately
  19. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am fairly new to using tes5edit. I have replaced ars metallica in my step extended install with CCO and removed ars metallica from the step patch. When checking CCO in tes5edit it seems that alot of values are being overwritten by the bashed patch. Theese values seems too me to be item wight and value. I think they are overwritten because the CCO value/weight differs the most from all other values (vanilla, unoffical patches, step patch and others). Is there a way to make wrye bash prioritize by load order instead when choosing which value to use when creating the patch, instead of choosing the most common one or the one thats the least different. If that is whats happening. Or maybe it doesn't matter that much? Edit: Also, item names and category are changed by the batch patch
  20. Thank you, worked perfectly!
  21. I want to try to edit out all references to Ars metallica from the step extended patch so I can try Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade. I also want to edit out diverse priests, which I managed to do. But it doesnt seem to work with Ars metallica. What I did was to manually chech each record in the patch using tes5edit and delete those containg Ars metallica or diverse priests in the right window. I then right clicked the patch name and choose clean masters. When checking the file header for the patch diverse priest was gone but ars metallica remains. Am I doing something wrong or have I just missed a record? Is there an easier/better procedure for finding the record I am looking for?
  22. Thanks, did that and checked in Tes5edit, looks ok. Thanks for your help.
  23. Ok, thanks for your answers and patience. I'll load the CoT, ELE, ELFX and skylight files after the step patch.
  24. The conflicts are in "LTMP - Lighting Template" and "XCIM - Image Space" mostly which I forwared doing a new patch by copying ELE as a override into it. ELE has different values in "DATA - Flags" and "DATA - Flags/Show Sky" as well as in "XCCM - Sky /Weather from region" and in "XLCW - Water Height". Should I use the values from ELE or from the unofficial skyrim patch and STEP extended patch?
