  1. The MO2 usvfs will put the file into the overwrite if it is a new file and will allow the replacement of an already existing file. MO 1.3.x.x is an entirely different program now that MO2 has been picked up by the volunteer programmers.
  2. From your log, you are running MO2 Global instance from E:\Skyrim - tools\Mod Organizer 2. MO2 is managing game at E:\The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim SE, which is not a standard Steam install. Is it possible that this is a cracked version of the game? MO2 will have issues when the game is cracked, as the cracks will change the executable hook points that MO2 needs to use and you will get faults ranging from crashes to what you are describing here.
  3. Don't nuke your MO install!! Install a fresh copy of MO and copy your profiles folders, ModOrganizer.ini and depending on where your mods and downloads are those also to the new install. I always set my mods, profiles and downloads to a different drive, but it can be a different folder also. As long as the paths to the other tools did not change, copying the ModOrganizer.ini will point to them if they did then you only have to go into the executable settings and set them again.
  4. That was paraphrased from a comment from Tannin at another location recently, so I just want to enlighten everyone as to the potential of doing the admin privileges thing.
  5. Post your ModOrganizer.ini (erase your username and password from this), mo_interface.log and your usvfs-xxxx.log from the MO2 logs folder. It would be a good idea to first erase all the logs in the logs folder and then run the programs to generate new ones. Also MO2 should be installed in a folder of its own, C:\Mod Organizer or c:\MO2, or something similar. It should not be in the games folder or in the Windows programs folder. It is important to note that when you run MO as admin you also run the scripted fomod installers as admin as well as skse and the game, including your enb, which is a dll, and skse plugins. If any of these items have a bug or have malicious code in them they can cause a lot more damage to your system than if you ran as a restricted user. Running as an admin means you are blindly trusting the people involved in making all these mods and tools to be trustworthy and not make any mistakes in their code.
  6. Please read the spoiler for more information. Copied from the Skyrim mods reddit. [spoiler=MO1 fix announcement]Hi there, Al12 from the MO2 Team here. We are happy to announce that Mod Organizer 1 version 1.3.14 has been released by enpinion on the MO2 Nexus page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194 This version contains all the needed changes for the recent migration of the Nexus services to Https (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/news/13481) that caused Mo2 and Mo1 Nexus integration features to stop working. enpinion managed to get the MO1 code to build and released a fixed build under the 1.3.14 version. MO1 is End of Life though, it will not be supported and further updates are not to be expected or requested. Since so many people still happily use Mo1 we decided to provide a fixed version to not force those users to switch to MO2 just yet. MO1 will never be able to support 64bit applications providing further support for it when MO2 exists would be counter productive, better to concentrate efforts on MO2 for a better experience for everyone. Big thanks to enpinion for providing this update and to Tannin, the original creator. Here is the full list of changes from the last official version 1.3.11:
  7. Right now the order should not be a problem unless you have a lot of loose files. The archives follow the ESP order. Good luck
  8. MO2 can also be installed as a "Portable Instance" also, just like MO1, two separate executables . If your original install is gone then you will be out of luck. Did you by chance Check "C:\Users\Your_User_name\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer" for a Skyrim SPecial Edition folder? Edit: The above is probably true now if you are using MO2 to switch games. Did you by chance nuke the original install of MO2 or did you just overwrite the first install?
  9. Let me ask you something, do you have two installs of MO2 program now?
  10. You have to make sure that the downloads are done by the Nexus CDN server. I would change it in MO and the your Nexus profile.
  11. There is no option to sort the left pane at all. You can use drag and drop to move mode in the priority order you need. The "Sort" button in the picture only acts upon the ESP and ESMs in the right pane.
  12. The sort button only works on the ESPs and ESMs in the right pane, is this what you meant to say?
  13. A little more info would help a lot. What is your problem?
  14. If you can, can you let us know what you did? The information may help someone else with similar problem. Thanks.
  15. While we prohibit the open sharing of mods that have been removed or hidden from the Nexus, this is to respect the rights of the author for whatever reason they have, it does not hurt to ask. You just may not a response in this forum.
  16. Please be advised that file sharing here is frowned upon.
  17. That was from 2017, MO2 has come a long way from that time. I am currently using a developer build and it is working for me. Edit: I take that back, it looks like my local saves weren't really local.
  18. The auto delete is probably from your anti virus program, in which case you would have to go into it and exclude the usvfs**.exe.
  19. I have not experienced it yet, but the mod description has you robbed and a quest is created to recover your items, though I do not know about the quest items. [spoiler=Does this system also work on my character?]If your character is knocked out in a dangerous area, nearby enemies may rob him, depending on the value of the objects he has. Once dispossessed of his belongings, your character will wake up, almost dead, in the last bed he used in one of his settlements. A quest can then be followed to recover what has been stolen. All the process of this event is fully customizable from the MCM or the configuration holotape.
  20. Sorry, I don't know anything about scripting. I can make a suggestion of an alternate mod, Knockout Framework, that provides the same functionality and more.
  21. The ini tweaks are gone and most likely will not return, that was a function of old VFS and is not included in the new usvfs system. I believe that the mod ini tweaks are still collected in the active profile in initweaks.ini. they can be copied from there and pasted into the custom ini. I have not had any unchecked mods move on me, but I am only running Fallout 4 at the moment. If this is repeatable for you I would encourage you to make a ticket on the github site.
  22. I wish they were all as simple as that. The answer comes from supporting MO for a very long time, knowing what to look for, asking the right questions and 30 years in tech support helps also.
  23. You need to get MO out of the data folder,C:\Steamgames\Steamlibrary2\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Modding\Skyrim Modding\Modding Programs\Mod Organizer\overwrite\, and into its own folder outside the game folder.
  24. The following should be taken into consideration when installing MO2: The core function of Mod Organizer 2 is to keep the vanilla game directory and Data directory clean from extra files and installed mods. It accomplishes by not allowing any files to be written to the games root directory and by using its Virtual File System or VFS. A technique where the installed mods and any other third-party tool that work on the data directory will see a Virtual data directory which is comprised of the actual game directory and the Mod Organizer’s mods directory. Installing MO2 in the games directory goes against this core fundamental. It also makes it easier to fix things if you ever need to reinstall the game. Install MO2 in a location where you don't need administrative privileges to write to and don't install MO below "Program Files". MO2 should never be run with administrative rights. It is also advisable to have your game installed outside of the Program Files directory, but not required. MO2 should not be installed in the games directory and should be installed in its own folder as close to the root as possible, Drive-Letter:\ModOrganizer. Installing MO2 to the games directory has proven to induce odd behavior with some third-party programs and only by moving the MO2 instance out of the games folder the problem went away. An install of MO2 is now being referenced as an “Instance†and we have the choice of either doing a Global instance or a portable instance. The “Global Instance†should be considered as one instance of MO2 that handles all supported games. Upon install the Downloads, Mods, Caches, Profiles and Overwrite folders will be created in the users “Base Directoryâ€, which is in the C:\Users\User-name\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Game-name. MO2 program files should be installed as mentioned above. In the “Portable Instance†the Downloads, Mods, Caches, Profiles and Overwrite folders will be created in the users “Base Directoryâ€, which is now the selected MO2 install folder. In either case the user has the option to move the location of these folders from the settings Paths tab. To get max performance in game you should keep the mods and the overwrite folder on the same drive as the game but in their own folders outside of the game folder. You can copy any existing folders here and point MO2 to them in Settings path tab. Following these standards will allow the MO2 developers easier troubleshoot problems without having to resort to starting from the beginning each time someone has a problem. The above is from my research for a missing manual document in development and my time going through the MO2 developers Discord channel.
  25. If you do not have the OBSELoader in the games directory the option for the Script extender will not show up. If you have the GOG version of Oblivion then you need the OBSE GOG version. My MO2 did not show the Script extender option until I installed the GOG OBSE loader and restarted MO. MO has to see the loader and when it does, it will show in the executables and the script extender work around.
