Hearthfire is a mess. I have to disable all the unofficial patches to be able to even see the house being built, but then it bugs out anyway. Ugh...

weird. I installed hearthfire and had no issues whatsoever on a vanilla install.

Then I installed USKP Skyrim/Dawnguard and Hearthfire and had issues with CTDs. Then I downloaded all of the newest non-beta-version USKPs and tadaaa: no ctd, everything from hearthfire works beautifully.

I've also cleaned all my modlist, both hearthfire and dawnguard seems to need to be cleaned

Has been updated. No fixes from other mods. Simply install and enjoy! :P

Does the unofficial patch alter the shield+weapon plaques/displays in a way that would prevent me using them?

 

I'm trying to display the local guard shield (ie. falkreath shield in lakeview with scimitars crossed behind) and weapons but am unable to select the activator after building the display house upgrades.

 

I thought this might be HF specific, but I'm encountering it in Hjerim as well.
