Moved mod organizer's location = mods gone

 I'm new to mod organizer and I didn't put the folder in my fallout new vegas directory,  and I spent about 10 hours setting up my game with mods, but when I went to launch my game of course, it didn't launch. I came across a topic about it and the solution had me move my install. Now it launches fine, but my mods are gone! If I move it back to the original install, they come back but then my game doesn't launch. How can I get my mods to come back without having to download every single one again?
