ednemo Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I have tested and finally verified I am only having a problem when launching from MO. I am using NVSE connecting to Fnv4gb and using the argument -laaexe .FalloutMO.exe. I get the screen with no problem, but when I select "New Game" nothing happens. I have tested by launching through Steam and it opens without any problems. Does anyone have any ideas? I am currently just running Fallout NV without any mods and all the DLCs.
0 FalloutAddict Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Yes, get a different Mod manager. MO doesn't seem to work well with Fallout NV, Try the one on this page it's under 'Install Instructions'. https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/alpha-download-v273a you might want to get the LAA patch as well, it's on the same page.
0 hishutup Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Mo defitely has issues but still stick with it. EssArrBee uses it in his guide with great succes. I would wait for one of the FNV guys to help you out.
0 ednemo Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 I am currently using Nexus and running fine. I really liked the tutorials for MO but it looks like I am going to stick with Nexus for a while.
0 EssArrBee Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Remove the argument and get the 4gb loader from Roy batty. Make sure to run the 4gb loader through MO.
0 hishutup Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I am shocked that you are not having issues...One example, NMM doesnt understand how mods are packaged differently.half the mods you use probably did not install correctly and are not functional. NMM has a ton of issues whereas MO has some issues. and there is Ess, hia Ess
0 GrantSP Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I am currently using Nexus and running fine. I really liked the tutorials for MO but it looks like I am going to stick with Nexus for a while.Any user that is currently running NMM and decides to 'try out' MO WILL have difficulties. The way MO works is completely different to any other mod manager and needs to have a full commitment from the user to get the best out of it. I'm slightly bemused you post a question to get help running MO, get a perfectly good response and then decide to stick with NMM. :O_o:
