Elveine Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Greetings! I'm very sorry, i know it takes alot of time and effort to maintain things like S.T.E.P, but there was no news for a while regarding 2.3.0 develpment. Any ETA yet (At least approximately)? Thanks in advance! P.S. Sorry for my bad English.
TechAngel85 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 No ETA, v2.2.9 was just recently released. It will be several more months before v2.3.0 is ready.
Elveine Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Thank you for answer! I honestly didn't know that. I'll give 2.2.9 a try then!
theblackman Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I note on the STEP 2.3.0 page that both Skyrim Performance Monitor and DDSopt are no longer featuring under the Utilities section. Is there a particular reason for this? From my lurking on various sites (including this one) it seems some users might be encountering issues with DDSopt. I know 2.3.0 is under development so should be used at own risk but I was just curious about the omissions. Thanks
TechAngel85 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 It's actually not even close to being ready to use. But the omissions are due to those utilities being Extended. In fact, you will not find any of the Extended mods on the 2.3.0 Guide.

TechAngel85 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Any mod that is not marked, "Core" in the Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9#Mod_Tables_LegendIt's all explained here: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:Mandate
theblackman Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Ah, of course. Thanks for clarifying.
Dragoncon Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Are you aware that the Distant Decal Fix mod is completely overwritten by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and is thus completely un-needed?
TechAngel85 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Are you aware that the Distant Decal Fix mod is completely overwritten by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and is thus completely un-needed?Incorrect. In a STEP install, there are 20 files that are not conflicted.
Dragoncon Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Incorrect. In a STEP install, there are 20 files that are not conflicted.Ill double check, and woops, Clear oversight on my part. I was looking at a list of mods that were "made obsolete" by the unofficial patches and checked in a bit of a hurry, my bad.
TechAngel85 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 In MO, if a mod is completely overwritten it will have a grey lighting bolt icon. If you every see one of those next to a mod, then that mod is completely unnecessary. That is the fastest why to tell without going into the Conflict tab.

Kris Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Are we getting close to the release of 2.3.0? I'm planing to do a playthrough of some of the bigger content mods and I would like to base my setup on a newer s.t.e.p.
