EssArrBee Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 WHen you install with FOMM using MO, it can't always find the mods you installed with it, so when it looks for them bad things happen. I forget how I fixed it, but I'm pretty sure that I installed FOMM in a different place and changed MO to run it from the new installation.
Crimson13 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 So instead of Program Files (x86) put it in Program Files?
EssArrBee Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 No, don't do that. It is better to just put it in somewhere like C:\Games or where you put Steam.
Crimson13 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Hrmm, dammit. So it's the same issue all over again. I'll just remove FOMM - Fork and do it all manually again. Just a question, is MO going to be able to use the F:NV fomod format? I think I heard it from here but I haven't checked.
EssArrBee Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 The C# scripts and the .js scripts can't use the VFS from MO, but everything else works.
GrantSP Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 After you un-install, or even before if it still throws a wobbly, you could delete the 'Install Info' folder under the the FalloutNV folder. That ORIGINAL_VALUE fomod message is from your InstallLog.xml that FOMM, and also NMM I believe, generates whenever you install mods. Apparently it refers to a dummy mod and is just part of it's initialization process. That way when you install it freshly in the new location the 'Install Info' folder can be created with fresh values.
Crimson13 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I reinstalled FOMM - Fork and moved Install Info out of the F:NV folder, still gave the same error.
hishutup Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Take a look in the fallout folder in the my games folderIs there something like fomodinstall.dat or something rather...What is in there?I think fork has a list of mods that you had installed and it won't continue until you uninstall then (by the sound of it, you can't) or you have to delete the file. So, track down the file. The reason I brought it up is because I saw a list from tesmodmanager and it gave me trouble for awhile but fnv may be different
Crimson13 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 No, I don't see any files called fomodinstall anywhere. Still thanks for the help guys.
Nozzer66 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 UIO is back up and I have installed it and the UI looks awesome again. Not a single error and mush less messing about with FOMM-Fork. Good work EssArrBee and others for working out the install.
thorgal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I don't know if one of the mods caused this or something in in the ini files but i cannot use my zoom function ( right mouse ) outside of using weapons .The ui elements also don't appear even though they are selected in imersive hud .
EssArrBee Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Did you add Enhanced Camera? There are INI edits from that mod.
thorgal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) No , no other mods other then those in the guide that alter the camera has been installed . Edited October 29, 2014 by thorgal
EssArrBee Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 I'm having a similar issue, but I thought it was from Enhanced Camera since I've been testing that.I'll look into a bit more tonight.
thorgal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Just to be clear . i can aim down the sights of guns and block with melee weapons no problem ,but when i put the weapon away and then try to zoom in , nothing happens .
