Moragg Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Yeah... not worth it, in Whiterun Hold I get massive drops in performance - 40% or so. And I CTD'd not much after. Memory usage for both stayed in the 2.7GB area. Ugrids 7 and above only seems possible for those on highly clocked Intel processors, and major graphics power.

I mean I have an i5 2500k that's overclocked to 4.5 ghz so if it can definitely handle the extra load if it's CPU dependent.Â
rootsrat Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Please keep in topic, this thread is long enough without OT ;) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I just asked him via private message to either give the source code to a high-level engine wizard (Boris' date=' Altimor, and/or shadeMe), or to just provide the source code in a separate download.[/quote']Any success with this?
DoYouEvenModBro Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 What ever happened with this mod? Are most people using it or did you all dump it? I'm still using it without crashes. I had the map crash a few times but haven't in weeks.
Aiyen Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 The method it uses to try to fix stuff is legit enough... but I have no need for it. Like other types of fixes then its on a "if you have problems try it" basis. No official recommendations is going to come for it, since it depends too much on mod lists, and hardware etc.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Has anyone succeeded in obtaining the code from the Mod Author since he/she looks to be done updating/tweaking the mod?
WilliamImm Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 It's been a month and I haven't seen any sign of a response from the author.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Aw man. To all Modders out there, this is an example of how NOT to manage a mod.
swiftfoxmark2 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 From what I can tell about this plugin, it seems to be working fine, so long as you don't overload your game with heavy scripting mods. My experience was that it caused more crashes and freezes when running an ENB with heavy scripting mods. Without the plugin, I managed to get some game loads that wouldn't load before. Basically, it wasn't an infinite loading screen, it was a loading until the memory reaches 3.2 GB then crash, which seemed like an infinite loading screen. Of course, doing that anyway is a really bad idea.
Some0ne Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Hello guys! I've just noticed that cpp source was released a few minutes ago: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/?
WilliamImm Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Oh... wow. The author actually responded to my request. Please, for the love of all that is holy, tell shadeMe about this, because he really should be the person to maintain this in the future. Since MontyMM also wanted to look at the source, he should be aware of this. Sent from my Optimus G using Tapatalk
