TechAngel85 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I agree and it's starting to provide my thoughts correct, that I don't think we'll be able to use the Langley mods as a whole, but rather peacemeal (through BCFs/Batch Files) as the author intended: This set of textures is intended for experienced users, those who can independently look and choose textures which are necessary. Not full and self-sufficient textures pack, recommended for use in a combination with other mods and retextures. These textures are only additions and options for creation of global retexture from works of different authors.
exploiteddna Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 yeah i just read that for the first time the other day... i think he recently updated his descriptions to include that. I agree, that seem like the most practical method
phazer11 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 For the most part I'm liking the look of Langley's though as has been said I don't really like the door. I do however like the wood beams the vanilla and SHD ones just look out of place to me.
exploiteddna Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 not that its that big of a deal since i know what youre saying, but the only wood beams are vanilla or langleys, no SHD. The "current-STEP" screenshot in that set of compares is only to demonstrate how the vanilla wood beams look with all of the other STEP textures installed alongside of it. But like i said, i understand what you were saying :D
phazer11 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 So I'm still waiting on confirmation on which to test, I suppose I could do all of them but these packs are a pain. Also texture size preferences?
exploiteddna Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 ive been using nothing but 1k whenever possible for my landscape compares, but i would probably use the default 2k for this pack. I was considering doing the solitude pack. EDIT: oops. i was referring to the other pack - Langleys Wood Metal and Stone Workshop
WilliamImm Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 The mod has been folded into Langely's texture workshop - as the Dragonborn DLC download. Gonna remove this thread from Mod Testing.
