achesia Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 I've come back to Skyrim after about 3 years away and completed the STEP 2.2.0 over the last week or so. I just wanted to say a massive thanks to the team who have put together this awesome guide, it's well written and thorough. So my mod list is exactly as described by the 2.2.0 guide (unless I've made a mistake). Everything is working brilliantly now, except for some large rocks/mountains in snowy areas across the map. They appear shiny and flickering, mostly black but sometimes grey depending on my angle. Hoping you could provide some advice about what has happened here. I've attached some screenshots to show you what I mean.
DoubleYou Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 I know I've seen this issue before, but I can't remember exactly how it is reproduced. My gut says it was a bad ini tweak that caused it, so try resetting your ini files with BethINI.
Mousetick Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Objects that look like they're covered in shimmering white/grey paint: usually caused by Parallax textures used with non-Parallax meshes (or vice-versa?). Assuming ENB is also used to enable Parallax.

Also be sure you are running only mods in the 2.2.0 guide and nothing additional until you confirm everything is looking right. Also see advice in previous responses ^
