khold Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Hello, first of all, thank you for all the work!I still have a small issue, maybe this was already asked, but the thread is long.... Some objects near solitude are still showing this rather ugly LOD texture, which is coming from \Textures\DynDOLOD\lod\DynDOLOD_Tamriel.dds.This was also ugly before DynDOLOD (there was another file, it came from \Textures\terrain\Tamriel\objects\tamriel.objects).I had hope it would be better with DynDOLOD.Is there anything I can do about this?

DynDOLOD uses the LOD models and textures it finds in the load order. As is well known, TexGen updates a select list of object LOD textures but not the pre-rendered ones. Pre-rendered object LOD textures need to be updated manually. The HD LODs Textures SE mod updates that one. Maybe it fits your load order well enough. If not, you could use mesh rules to use the full model for LOD. Edited June 23, 2020 by sheson
warlord Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 after downloading the new version i cant use tex gen and dyndolad with MO2
sheson Posted July 5, 2020 Author Posted July 5, 2020 after downloading the new version i cant use tex gen and dyndolad with MO2The tools work fine with MO since 6 years. Carefully read the included manual, install the tools according following the installation instructions. Carefully read all log messages or prompts and fix whatever the installation/setup problem is. If you need help reading the messages, post them so people actually know what your issue is and can attempt to help you.
sheson Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 i get an error saying editing is disabledThat is only the last message of the log. As I said, carefully read all log messages or prompts and fix whatever the installation/setup problem is. If you need help reading all log messages, post an error report with entire contents (not just the last couple lines) of ..\DynDOLOD\bugreport.txt (if it exists) and ..DynDOLOD\Logs\DynDOLOD_[GAMEMODE]_log.txt to pastebin.com or to a file service.

Read the included install instructions. By default the tools start in Skyrim mode, which is the same as adding the -tes5 command line parameter. Add -sse as a command line parameter to DynDOLOD.exe/DynDOLODx64.exe or TexGen.exe/TexGenx64.exe to start the tools in Skyrim Special Edition mode. Add -tes5vr as a command line parameter to DynDOLOD.exe/DynDOLODx64.exe or TexGen.exe/TexGenx64.exe to start the tools in Skyrim VR mode. Add -enderal as a command line parameter to DynDOLOD.exe/DynDOLODx64.exe or TexGen.exe/TexGenx64.exe to start the tools in Enderal mode in case the Steam version is used. warlord Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 i did write -sse in the arguments but still the same issue
sheson Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 how do i do with with mo2See DynDOLOD-Shortcut.txt for help. Refer to the documentation or help forum/discord of the mod manager you are using if you have questions about it.i did write -sse in the arguments but still the same issue If the log still says Skryim and TES5, then obviously the command line argument was not set correctly. If the log says something else, then it is a different issue.
sheson Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 where can i find old versions? The current version works exactly the same as all the versions before it in regards to the command line arguments. Outdated versions are removed to prevent users using buggy or inferior versions. Fix the real problem instead.
TheRealSpaghet Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 So I'm pretty sure DynDOLOD is the cause of a CTD whenever I fast travel to either Markarth or Windhelm (maybe more places) because I don't CTD when I disable the esp. But, using the DynDOLOD, Net Framework or Papyrus logs tell me nothing about any nifs or possible causes other than Dyndolod.esp, so I'm not really sure where to go other than disabling some of many mods at a time, regenerating the DynDOLOD files and testing which would take longer than I'd like.Is there anything you can tell me that'd help?
