Question

Posted (edited)

Hi everyone.

I was finally in the final stretch of Fear and Loathing and was finally hoping to start playing, but an issue cropped up for me as soon as I walked out of Doc Mitchell's house. The good news is that I can at least pinpoint the problem on a very rudimentary level and for what it's worth I've been using Mod Organizer 2 up to this point.

As you can see below, the Gas Pumps of New Vegas portion of Gameplay Mods Merged isn't working right and is throwing up the 'red blob with white exclamation' mark error at me. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what to do at this point. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey Randolph,

Those giant red exclamation marks is the game telling you that it's searching for meshes that aren't in the correct spot. This suggests that somehow during the merging process those meshes got moved into a different location, or got deleted altogether. My advice would be to either completely redo the merge, or look in the merges files in MO2 and try to find the meshes for the gas pump mod.

I am unsure how they could have gotten removed, but that would be a good place to start looking.

Cheers,

Audley

You may need to extract files from the BSA archives that aren't associated with an ESM or ESP if you are using Mod Organizer 2. The guide depends on Mod Organizer's BSA management functionality so Integration - Couriers Stash.bsa in Gameplay Mods Merged works fine with Mod Organizer 1.3.x but the game will never see this archive with Mod Organizer 2.

I think there are several other BSAs in Advanced Recon Stealth Armor, Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision, and Yuki Mods Merged that aren't associated with an ESM or ESP as well. You might also verify you have archive invalidation enabled.

Make sure that copying assets is ticked in Merge Plugins, and that you downloaded both the main file and the update file for Gas Pumps of New Vegas (the update file made by me and a couple of others does not include the meshes).
