20th century Weapons Reborn Excaliberized patches download

The installation instructions for 20th Century Weapons Re....etc. state to download only files 4, 3a, and 5. However, it doesn't appear that any of these files rthe ALIVE esps from the 20th century weapons mod, which distribute the weapons into leveled lists, and apparently these esps were meant to be replaced as they were moved into optional esps in the original 20thcw reborn mod and the original 20thcw mod as well. Apparently file 2 merges these alive esps while still remaining compatible with FWE. Am I misunderstanding something here? Thanks.

I'm basically asking whether this guide intentionally disallows 20th centuy weapons from being distributed throughout the game. And, if so, how does one gain access to these weapons ingame.

These weapons are distributed using records in the patch files in the Compatibility Patches section. The records in the base 20th Century Weapon mod plugins generally provide only these weapons to supermutants and NPCs vs. providing weapons from all the weapon mods in the guide.

I understand that the base mod plugins are unsatisfactory, but the replacement plugins from the patches used for distributing the items are not used at all in the guide (Unless the wasteland patch collections distributes them, but I believe that those patches only cover conflicts).

There are three patches in the Compatibility Patch section of the guide that affect 20th century weapons:

• 20th Century Weapons Reborn eXCaliberized with additional patches,
• 20th Century Wpns -Plus- Reborn for FWE 603 ....

As mentioned in the guide, these two are optional because 20th century weapons itself is optional. If it is used these two patch mods should be used.

• Finally the Wasteland Patch Collection includes patches that have 20th Century Weapons as a master plugin.

Nope.  Until it comes back up ur outta luck as STEP doesn't endorse unauthorized mod backups or links without explicit author permission. 

 

Until then, you'll have to make do with the new solution the guide has until it comes back.
