SMC with SRLE Extended: LotD

Recommended Posts

well, i'll post it on here in case anyone else is interested, after all, the goal is to get the best visuals for SRLE: LOTD right?!

the basic jist is to install your preferred ENB (in your case Rudy NLVA?).

then copy Straylight's SweetFX folder into the main Skyrim directory.

then copy d3d9.fx, d3d9_SweetFX.dll, (dxgi.dll & dxgi.fx only for Win 10), and the 3 SweetFX *.txt files into the main Skyrim directory.

also, you MUST edit enblocal.ini to show these settings:

[PROXY]

EnableProxyLibrary=true

InitProxyFunctions=true

ProxyLibrary=d3d9_SweetFX.dll

it's a very subtle improvement IMHO

that's pretty much it. you've now got Straylight's SweetFX post processing working.

PM me if you have any issues or comments, but I might not be able to get back to you until tomorrow; time to crash!

No need for injector.ini and shader.fx?

dunc You may know the answer to this I am taking a serious look at Northfires Photoreal Mountains for inclusion I have noticed it come with a copy of Moss Rocks I take we use that version instead of the one from The Ruffled Feathers?

Edit: and I am right in thinking you removed the texture from One Mountain and using these instead?

The way I have it set up is split Northfire into two seperate folders/mods, one for messages, one for textures. Then load order is Northfire meshes, One Mountain meshes, Northfire textures. Don't forget the missing mossfall texture fix. And I can't remember but I think the moss rocks textures overwrote RF but we still need the esp (in the landscape merge)? I'll confirm tonight.

ok thanks and just so you know Northfire will likely end up in the landscape merge anyway

Yes, actually thinking about it it already is in my Landscape merge along with the Moss Legenday esp from the Northfire zip.  I had it split out and seperated like this to make sure the meshes and textures were all overwriting as they should.  Basically there are a few meshes in Northfire that aren't in OneMountain, and there are a few textures in OneMountain that aren't in Northfire so basically you need to load in this order:

ESPs are in my Landscape merge:

This is an old copy of the merge and some of this is no longer in there, but not relevant to this discussion!

Yeah, they were both fine. I've dropped EVT now though as it was giving me too big a hit.  Strangely I'm actually getting less of a hit with my current trees setup which is SFO (installed tree meshes and textures only, nothing else, no esp), Diverse Bark, TreesHD, RAT, SFO Large Junipers, SFO Bent Pines.

No need for these 2 files. We're getting our SMAA anti-aliasing and other post-processing effects with SweetFX.

Can you notice the subtle difference with and without SweetFX? Look at the stone textures in the pillars as well as the distant mountains.

I got SMC all installed. The first time I failed, my fps was so trashed. Second time around, cleaned up a few things I didn't need, recombined, and great FPS this time. Go figure. Took some random screens just running around. Saw a couple things that were odd. The blood textures, and one of the pillar textures. But overall it's working well, and it looks nice. :)

most of pfuscher's stuff is so bad :(

IMO you'd be better off biting the bullet and integrating SMC for the best SRLE LOTD visual experience.  It's all personal preference though so...

SMC is worth to try + a few extra standalone textures mod can satisfy what's missing.

With all of the flora and grass mods from SMC I've enabled I only reached 15 - 19 fps outside of whiterun lol. I noticed a lot more grass though from verdant any tips to rise my fps back to around 25?

That some nice screens, I'm guessing no ELFX? Was trying NLVA not satisfied with it, but after looking at your picture makes me think twice now
