InstantKor Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I run the full SMC pack with srle lotd. Took a few hours to get everything integrated properly but it was well worth it in the end.I was going through the SMC mods andnoticed that No Snow Under the Roof is in the list and so is LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Talos Statue but the version that SMC wants for the Talos statue is the non NSUTR version. Not too sure about that.
reddvilzz Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I run the full SMC pack with srle lotd. Took a few hours to get everything integrated properly but it was well worth it in the end.Where do you place the SMC mod in the MO left pane?Do you disabled the original texture mods that are used within srle lotd or just let SMC overwritten it? Thinking of using SMC but I don't know how to start with the pack already finished. Any tips are welcome
jdsmith2816 Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 I was going through the SMC mods andnoticed that No Snow Under the Roof is in the list and so is LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Talos Statue but the version that SMC wants for the Talos statue is the non NSUTR version. Not too sure about that.No snow under the roof|01 BSA - Static Mesh Improvement Mod|meshes\prometheus\architecture\statuessnow\talosstatuesnow.nif|meshes\prometheus\architecture\statuessnow\No snow under the roof|meshes|prometheus\architecture\statuessnow\TalosStatueSnow.nif|meshes\prometheus\architecture\statuessnow\LeanWolfs Better-Shaped Talos|meshes|prometheus\architecture\statuessnow\TalosStatueSnow.nif|meshes\prometheus\architecture\statuessnow\ It merges files into the output directory in order; the last one on the list is the winner. In this case if you are also installing Better-Shaped Talos it'll end up with the BetterShapedTalos NSUtR mesh. You can see the current list at https://bitbucket.org/drigger/smc/raw/428b70a53236196374eb6e52f69f5cd888605399/List/SMC.ini Does that make sense?

Thinking of using SMC but I don't know how to start with the pack already finished. Any tips are welcomeIf you have not yet make sure to open your SMC ini file and force it to show DLC content. For whatever reason SMC could not detect that I had DLC installed and thus was not offering me the various mods that include DLC only content in them. Some of the 'not available' mods have very high quality assets that aren't fully replaceable. I recommend tracking down the whole SMC pack if you don't have it. Everything except literally one mod is easily findable. Each to his own though :) Note: Do NOT install book covers skyrim as part of SMC. You'll want to let DBM handle that. Having said that... onwards to what you actually asked for. I removed the texture mods that are already contained in SMC then I dragged a few that conflict with it but also provide some additional textures/meshes to be above SMC so that SMC would win the conflicts. In addition to this I pulled out various esp files from SMC into seperate folders to satisfy merge requirements. Finally there were a few mods I didn't install at all.. I think just spice of life barrels, spice of life forts, snazzy. There's no reason you couldn't use them if you wanted to I just chose to go with SMCs choices there. Oh, and think about installing Joy of Ships... so good. Place it just after the SMC folders on the left. https://i.imgur.com/s08eYsN.png The above image is a screenshot shows where I placed SMC and the texture mods that I placed above SMC for texture conflict resolution. Having said that I just realized that due to merging Hold Border Banners is once again overwriting my SMC banners now and I need to fix that. Thanks for giving me a reason to look at things again lol. https://i.imgur.com/tOViyg5.png The above image shows the contents of the SMC esp folders I created for merge purposes. Also note the Harkon's sword DSR patch which you can find at https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/ajax/downloadfile?id=1000187951 As you see on my left side I personally dont' run ELFX but if you do there are 2 or 3 mods installed that have ELFX meshes which you'll want to install as overwrites right around the same place as my harkon sword folder. That's pretty much it.. took a few hours to work out the above but my game looks amazing and performs well still. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. :) Edited July 28, 2016 by jdsmith2816
jdsmith2816 Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 (edited) Addendum to the above: SMC uses a different dragon priest mask replacer so unless you're going to overwrite it with apophysis anyways then pay attention to the ICH section that has you copy in apophysis meshes.. I believe that instead I used the standard meshes from the patch in question at that step and then installed FranklyHD miraak ICH meshes at https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/download/1000204778 placing it right after the ICH merge. CL's daedric also has DSR meshes that SMC doesn't copy in. I just grabbed those meshes from the archive and added them as a seperate mod after SMC. File list:CL's Daedric DSR Meshes|meshes\weapons\daedricdaedricdaggerleft.nifdaedricdaggersheath.nifdaedricmaceLeft.nifdaedricmacesheath.nifdaedricswordleft.nifdaedricswordsheath.nifdaedricwaraxeLeft.nifdaedricwaraxesheath.nif Edited July 28, 2016 by jdsmith2816
InstantKor Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 LOL so I just finshed installing SMC with a texture folder of 17.7 Gb my Skyrim install is now 116Gb compared to the 117Gb it was before lol. Note I did remove all the mods from MO that are apart of SMC so no dupes are found.

jdsmith2816 Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) Does this also apply to Vivid Landscapes too with all the patches needed such as ELFX, SMIM, Moss Rocks? thanks! Assuming you choose to install SMIM as part of SMC then it'll pick available SMIM meshes from the other packs. SMC doesn't support ELFX so you have to grab the various ELFX patches for the mods and overwrite SMC. Additionally a few of the mods installed as part of SMC have fomod options for ELFX that it won't choose... You just need to pop open those ELFX compatible mods, grab the contents of the ELFX fomod folder, and install as a seperate mod. It's only a small handful.. like 3 or 4 mods iirc. I don't know if you saw or not but a page or two back I put up a couple posts about properly integrating SMC into SRLE LOTD. Let me know if you run into issues I can help resolve. jdsmith2816 Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Would you be willing to share a couple of screenshots from your setup? So I'm pretty terrible at screenshots is there anything in particular you'd like to see? Below are some random ones i took a while ago when playing around with different ENB presets. https://imgur.com/a/2xBii

I'd like to see flora, terrain, roads, buildings if you don't mind doing it. :)

I'm actually still stuttering a bunch, and I'm using the Extended Guide, with Darth's specs (except for 32GB RAM. I have 16GB).Also, how did you manage to find ENBs that support ELFX+Vivid Weathers+ELE Lite+Relighting Skyrim for ELFX? There are a lot of mods to keep in mind when trying to install an ENB that deviates from the guide. I tried to install Tetrachromatic ENB, so I removed all patches and mentions of ELFX in the CR, but my skyrim actually looked worse off. Can you list some ENBs that you found to work well with ELFX+Vivid Weathers+ELE Lite+Relighting Skyrim for ELFX? Edited July 29, 2016 by MattsDaZombieSlayer
