  1. Holy Crow! The ASIS mod is just destrowing me with the bandits having spells. I just can't kill the spell caster, I think he's draining my health and I have nothing to get his down as I just started....man, I'll look for a setting but I didn't notice anything that would help...
  2. From the Revisited guide: "If the character dies, completely exit the game and reload the last save. The automatic load erroneously retains data it should not from after the save." How important is this? With the bandits mod, I'm dying very regular and still haven't even retrieved the golden claw. Do I have to exit the game completely and reload from mod organizer or simple get out of the save and restart from the Skyrim main menu?
  3. Thanks for the perspective. Since I'm not comparing to anything as I've never played either of them, would the TTW still be good modded version of the game that I will not loose out? Or it's still superior to take it up a notch by modding each separately?

  5. Some of you may have seen me poking or thrashing around in the forum lately trying to figure out this whole modding world. I'm an old timer AD&D guy who loved Utlima on my Commodore 64 and later 286 that had a gap in his gaming life until the kids were old enough to have a Wii and then our first gaming console PS3 near the end of that generation. I couldn't believe what I was missing and when I got Oblivion and then played Skyrim as well as could be expected on that console. So, I basically had a mid life crisis, built my first gaming PC and decided now I need to make up for lost time ;) So, I got Morrowwind, Oblivion and Skyrim nicely modded and plan to enjoy them completely over time. But one of the thoughts I had when building the PC was to be able to have a fully modded Skyrim and to be able to handle Fallout 4, modded of course. But what's the rush for Fallout 4 when you haven't played the series at all, right? So I got Fallout 3 and New Vegas on the Steam sale and now wondering what the best strategy would be for my situation. If you had never played the Fallout series, would you start with a modded Fallout 3, then do New Vegas followed by Fallout 4 way later when all the great mods are available? Only do one prior to Fallout 4 or just start with the latest? I have read that Fallout 3 is unstable even on PC, is it corrected by the mods? Also was reading about TTW merging the 2 and Fallout 3 gaining stability as a result but didn't notice any guides such as those on this site for that build. Love to hear your thoughts and experiences as all I know right now is Elder Scrolls.
  6. Well, it took a bit longer than I thought, I messed up the Dyndolod, had to do is 2-3 times and missed the Dual Sheath Dedux mod (realisted this at the end for the patch!!...but OMG!! It looks absolutely amazing!! I have a 1080P setup with a GTX 960 4Gig and I was getting at the start around 30 FPS. First time I needed to try the overclock on my new (first) rig. 60 FPS at the waterfalls! Just amazing. Thank you for your time in making this guide and build of Skyrim, it will be like playing it for the 1st time all over again! After I have some fun with it after all this slaving, need to figure out the best way to mod Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I have never played them because I only had a PS3. Hopefully I can find a solid build guides for those. Cheers and goodnight.
  7. Sheson, just finished the SRLE build. When in the world, a get a message: "Can not find master data in Dyndolod_Tamriel.jsm What do you recommend I do? Thx EDIT: watched the guide, cleaned out the cache and such for an update, used the backup.esp and just now doing a full reinstall to see what the results will be.
  8. thanks. Didn't install new mods, everything was the same, just rerun the 2 scripts.
  9. Quick question. I have done the step with TES5Edit to apply DynDOLOD TexGen and DynDOLOD Worlds scripts. However, I put them in the same directory. So I deleted then and redid the scripts. When I closed TES5Edit the first time, did it change the original mod content and will this impact the 2nd time I run it? Do I need to reinstall DynDOLOD and start over? I can't remember the pop up message I got but it seems to know I ran this before.
  10. Right, like the next step...waiting for the DynDOLOD Worlds to complete and then the moment of truth. Learnt a lot on this build, much more than the original STEP procedures. Prior to cursing the world if I have load issues, want to thank Neo for building such a detailed guide and everyone that was patience with me and answered my pretty noob questions. I'll report back if I have success.
  11. On the final steps, I added the bash tags as instructed. In the override, there is a Bashed Patch, 0.esp Am I supposed to do anything with it before FNIS, Wyre Bash steps? Almost there!
  12. Yippe38 (or anyone), do you think I could deactivate rbb-sr merge.esp from the plugins, do the merge of Realistic water two, and then rename it RealisticWaterTwo.esp as per the instructions. It will not let me create the merge with the relationship with rbb-sr merge.esp Update: did it anyway, seemed logical
  13. Hey guys, I was just doing the first 2 merges and was just going through the same issue trying to figure out if i was doing this right. Is it just me or is it a little challenging finding the mods to deactivate...I hope it gets easier as you go. If there are any tricks people use, I'm all ears. When I got to the CoT, I an struggling to know if I found all the mods , there seems to only be 2 to deactivate, Climate of Tamriel-V and Falskaar - Climates of Tamriel patch. But then I noticed the ClimatesOfTamriel.esm . So, I need to copy this over and then just deactivate the 2 mods, correct? I'll look for a confirmation tomorrow, this is too dangerous to do at this time of night. Tomorrow will be a merging today. All this time and stressing on building this mod with little background or experience is surprising enjoyable, good exercise for the brain. Of course, that is if I have sucess at the end. I tried loading Skyrim and got to the load screen, so that's worth something. A confirmation of what I said above would be appreciated and if there are good tricks to move through this more efficiently, please let me know. I have watched the video on Nexus for the mod, Merge Plugins: Start to Finish...
  14. I had the same issue the other day. Just don't create the folder "Optimized". I actually created a wicked loop and had over a dozen sub-folders created by the mistake...

  17. No, is not going to be that kind of topic! As part of immersion, I always thought that the marriage part of Skyrim was kind of weak and should be a little more intimate and that the females walked like males. I noticed Lover's Lab has a some mods that deal with these items (sexLab, spouses enhanced) and there is FNIS SexyMoves. Will they work well with Revisited? Or are there other options that deal with these issues. I'm hoping this is not a taboo topic, didn't notice much on this in the forum
  18. Hi there. I installed the Survial pack on top of STEP extended minus the Hunterborn and Hunterborn Camfpfire patch. After running the game, everything seems fine as far as I can tell without really playing it yet however, in mod organizer, the override is an SKSE folder, CampfireData with 2 files profile1.json and common.json I have no idea what this means but does this mean I have a issue with the way I installed it? Thx
  19. I am in the last step of the STEP installation doing the bashed patch, finally I see the light at the end of the tunnel. So, I'm running LOOT as specified and for the 1st time I get this message! Error Error code: 12; Failed to update the masterlist. Details: An error occurred while trying to update the masterlist. This could be due to a server-side error. Try again in a few minutes. I'm search everywhere and I can;t seam to find info on this error. Does it go to a server each time? Is the server down? It still gives me a pop-up that a source was done 4 seconds later and allows me to apply. Has anyone seen this and can I proceed? Is there something I can do? Thx links to GitHub seems to be down for maintenance....can I proceed or I need to wait until they are back up... The last LOT I did before I lost connection was prior to step 2.N.
  20. Just going through a Step installation, noticed that Farmhouse Chimneys has been upgraded from 2.3 to 2.5 which includes options and patches. There are now more questions than shown in the detailed instructions. I believe it's mostly for new lands and patches for mods, so I didn't select them. Thought I would let you know so it could be updated. If this is in the wrong spot, just let me know for next time. Thanks
  21. Just to let you know 3 years later, along come a noob looking to enhance Skyrim, and I had the exact same question. It still may be a good idea to add a further note to the guide as to the "why?" Thanks
  22. Thanks Greg. Yup, those were all good. This MSI Gaming App a believe was causing a conflict. I disabled it, rebooted and low and behold, working properly. Heading into the next phase.
  23. When I try to run Skyrim Performance Monitor OR MSI Gaming app (which does boost and displays FPS, GPU, etc), I get the black screen for graphics and just the text/music going. When I used performance monitor, launched to mod organizer, then SKSE. For the MSI app, had to shut it down to get it to work.
  24. Success! Got to this point (SKSE), no issues this time. Obviously an error 13 (13" from the keyboard). Your assistance is much appreciated. Hope I wasn't too much a bother, may have another thread pop up when I run into trouble later ;) Cheers from cold Canada... EDIT: Actually, I do still have a minor problem, will explain in next post
  25. If I follow the default STEP guideline, am I or am I not using EMBoost? I've seen the question asked in the ini config and now the NVIDIA setting optimization step. It seems to assume that I'm not but I'm clearly using in in the next step.
