I'm holding off on FO4. Lots to do with 3 and New Vegas, by the time I'm done playing those, FO4 should be pretty mature with the DLC and mods. Keep the F&LNV up to date, looking forward to it next! Thanks's for the responses, Going to try to complete the UI section tonight. -

Having done the Skyrim Revisited build, I became acquainted with the Merge Plugin utility. Being new to modding, I have not been exposed to Merge Plugins xEdit Script. I can see from the revision history to the guide, it appears that Kelmych is moving the guide in that direction. The first merge in the guide is for the Advanced Recon Trap Detection. I review the instructions for xEdit Script and the F&LNV guide which does have instructions for the Merge Plugins utility and am submitting the following for review. Will what I did work? Is it acceptable? And a couple of questions: 1) In C&PD, the mods are listed in the following order In F&LNV, they are in this order I maintained the C&PD guide order, but which would be correct? Or does it not matter? 2) Since Merge Plugins creates a mod folder for the merge esp, instead of moving the esp into the Advanced Recon Trap Detection mod, I left it in it's own folder Detect Traps Merged and located it just after the Advanced Recon Trap Detection mod. Is this an acceptable way to do it or is there a better standard/practice? 3) The untick selection. Does this mean it doesn't carry the content (meshes, etc) over the the patch folder meaning the intent is to keep the original folder and not deactivate? Merging Advanced Recon Trap Detection All comments are welcome. If Kelmych or EssArrBee have any issues with the above or using their guides, please let me know and I'll not continue. Most importantly, I just want to know if it will work as I didn't want to use the old x-Edit Scripts and go with the new! Thanks

DarnUI Support for FWE installation question

I will need to gain a greater understanding of the tools used in this guide, or at least that is my perception at this early stage. Lots of options also, for example "if MMM is used" and since I have never played before, I don't have a frame of reference to make an informed decision while I did with Skyrim. It's okay though, up for the experience. I'll take the time to watch some more of the tutorials. thanks for the response, very helpful. -
DarnUI Support for FWE installation question

If I may continue on this thread with a question. Is there any action to be taken in this step? Is the old DarNifiedUIF3.esp overwritten or do I have to deactivate it or delete it? Am I suppost to do this step now or it will be done later in the guide when I create the Bashed Patch? And if later, it this an extra step I need to remember to do in addition to the bashed patch later in the guide? I'm realizing this installation is going to be NOTHING like the Skyrim LE Revisited... -

Ran into a problem in the early stages of the setup: I've completed to the end of the Extenders steps. Haven't started ENB I have successfully loaded Fallout 3 from: Fallout3.exe FalloutLauncher_ORG.exe (the original renamed) FalloutLauncher.exe selecting option 1 or option 2 FOSE_loader.exe (as admin) works as well. If not admin, I get an error message telling me to run as admin EDIT: works fine not in ADMIN as well However, when I run FOSE via mod organizer, I get Fallout has stopped working box and closes the program. I'm at a loss how to fix. EDIT: When I run Fallout 3 via mod organizer, same result.

I have more to add to this Windows 10 issue of running fINIp 3 installer. When following the instructions, following the warning that it will overwrite the .ini files, the windows not compatible error appears AND an error message that fails the installation. As reported by Malek in the quoted text, the suggestion in the quotes text does not work as well. But, I believe I have the Windows 10 solution. These are the instructions prior to performing the installation steps: For Windows 10 users, go to %USERPROFILE%\(My )Documents\My games\Fallout3 folder and right click on FalloutLauncher.exe and select properties. Select the compatibility tab and select "run the program as administrator", click apply and ok. I did this to the Fallout3.exe as well, but it likely wasn't required for this step. Selecting compatibility mode "run this program in..." was not required. I hope this is helpful and perhaps could be included in the pre-installation checklist in lieu of the existing text: "Several Windows 10 users have reported problems initially starting Fallout 3 GOTY from the Fallout Launcher. DanielCoffey reported "Windows 10 complained that FO3 was not a supported application the first time it was executed (to generate the .inis). The game started just fine however."

To the loads on death or the bandits :) No to both. It seems if you take the OBES mod, the spell casters are going to be there regardless to the ASICS patch selections. I've definitely had to be much more carefull with them which involves more running. As for the restart on dieing, going to the main menu is not even an option because it kicks me out to mod manager. I've been exiting completely because I don't want to take a chance.

Looking good Neo. Tried it on a the save where the inversion was present. After activating the mods as described, issue was resolved on the same save. I'll play some more tonight and confirm that the resolution sticks. -

great, I'll give it a try when I'm back from work. So just to clarify after looking at the revision notes: - UNP Blessed Body Redux Project -reinstall with new FOMOD selection? - hide ''meshes/actors/character/animations/female'' folder in NoMaaM Breathing Idles no reinstall required? - No changes made to 360 Walk and Run Plus Do I need to rerun FNIS at the end? And do you think this would work on an existing save? -

I was just moving around and noticed that W, S, A all work fine for movement but when I strafe right, the screen flips upside down when moving right. When I release, it goes back. Anyone ever see this before? Any way to correct? If I go back a couple of saves, it works fine. Seems to be either introduced after Camping or after a battle with some bandits (yes the bandits again! And they were using magic, again!)

Thanks! Loosing Price was bad, watching them play lately is brutal...Let the season just end... What field are you in? I think it's tough all around right now. Hopefully with our $$ so bad, it will stimulate some jobs in Canada.

Just found this thread, so I thought I would do a proper introduction. I'm am older gamer, in my mid 40s. Married and busy with 3 kids. I still remember fondly my intellivision playing the classics like lock 'n' chase and hours upon hours of astrosmash! Commodore 64 as well with Epyx games like Jumpman and I'm pretty sure that's where I fell in love with Ultima III and possibly IV. I was a huge AD&D player and always dreamed of the day when it would find it's way onto computers and the big screen (why I loved Utima so much). Then it was all work and no play, didn't play any games on PC, just office products...I lost my way. Then my 2nd childhood began through my kids and finally get a PS3 for...uhmm, my son! Played Oblivion and Skyrim and I was just in awe, I couldn't believe where this had all gone then Dragon Age Inquisition and Witcher 3 on the PS4. My son got himself a MSI Gaming Laptop beast and I bought my 1st steam game, Skyrim. Problem was, I couldn't get time on his laptop, so I tried to install in on my intel graphics i5 work laptop. That's when I learnt about modding, to LOWER the graphics to get it to work :( This just wan't going to do. Built a PC with my son this X-mas, my 1st every gaming PC. The PS4 hasn't seen me since but I'll return to finished Witcher 3 when the last expansion comes; that game is just unbelievable. So, didn't just build the PC to look pretty, found the STEP forum and really excited about gaming again. Got a way too long play list of games I need to experience including Morrowind, Oblivion (modded this time), Fallout 3, New Vegas and later Fallout 4, X-COM and Civilization V. These steam sales need to stop, I'm not used to seeing deals like this. On the personal side, I'm a Cannuk from Montreal, Canada (eastern Canada). I was a big runner, done a half dozen marathon, my wife and I breed parrots at home and we're into hockey, skiing and activities our kids are doing. I played baseball growing up and the Montreal Expos were my team and broke my heart when we lost them. Got my kids to like the Talisman board game so I must be doing something right (if we can only just finish a game!). I'm an engineer by education so I tend to be behave like one. Please forgive me in advance. Appreciate all the work and collaboration I see on this forum and hoping for your patience with someone new to the modding community. Cheers Lorne

Seems it wasn't a new enough start. I took the start from post MCM menu settings. I did a clean new character and ran into 3 bandit camps, and they all died in the hands of the to be Dragonborn. No spells to be seen, much better. I must have had a build where I didn't deselect the ASIS build patch options which would have included the spells. Having that selected is just nasty!

Have you seen the use of spells by bandits due to Organized Bandits? If that's the new normal, I will adapt...and do lot more running!

I've been having a really hard go getting pass the bandit camps since modding to Revisted. The Bandits are casting all kinds of wicked spells at me and doing a great job on having me fear them. But it's too tough as I can't even get into Bleak Falls Temple to get the Dragon Claw, as the 2 bandit camps along the way have bandit spell caster that just completely drain me, fry me, etc. I thought the options were deselected in the generation of the ASIS patch. I redid the generation of the patches and a new start and got the same result. Is this as designed? If you take the enhanced bandits, this is the new norm?

In the ASIS patch generation, only the NPC Enchant Fix was selected. Is it the SUM procedure you are referring to? Or is there a step prior I missed?
