Discussion thread: Enhanced Blood Textures by RAN46 Wiki Link Still use it, still love it. Keeps getting more refined with each update.

Yeah this has a long way to go before it can be used to customize an already existing enb, primarily at this stage its good for making your own enb from scratch. There has for instance been a lot of interest in just using the new ENB shadows feature so turn shadows up and everything else down and you have a good place to start. At present this is more a tool to do the heavy lifting, fine tuning will still require manual editing.
-
It can indeed and we will, thank you. Do you have them all available on dropbox? If not make an account using our code (gives us more space) and post them there please.
-
ENB Customizer Makes customizing your ENB as easy as pushing around a few sliders. Everything marked in plain english. Its not comprehensive yet, because enb documentation isn't :P Help out and tell the author of other known settings and their parameters.

Vibrancy an ENB Series adaptation A gorgeous combination of enb, rlwc, clo , and smaa. I turn off SAOO and DOF and only lose 4fps when toggling on and off. Several versions to choose from depending on personal preference, then customize from there. I recommend this one most highly for the post-processing pack.

1.6 patch to include Mounted Combat!
frihyland replied to Thechosenone's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Just be aware that STEP will not be supporting 1.6 for quite some time (like a month after it goes official), the recommendation is to remain at 1.5.26 until a STEP is released targeting 1.6 -
DLC Wiki leads to CTD causing .bsa files
frihyland replied to seekles's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The Skyrim Installation Wiki is now a required preliminary part of STEP. The new STEP pdf has been completely reformatted and mostly rewritten already, all we need to do now remove a few mods and get a nice spreadsheet of all included mods and their data finished and imported into the pdf. So concentrate on the wiki as the pdf is rewritten already, except for the notes and compilers advice, those still need work. As far as format we are trying to standardize on opendoc and we are using google docs and dropbox for collaboration. Use this link to sign up for dropbox to give us more free space. -
delete your bashed patch and rebuild it from scratch, sounds like you may still have an oblivion formatted one
-
Yep I picked this up soon as it was uploaded, talented author have yet to try it.
-
There is no way to "see" what mods are included in leveled lists since all the code was rewritten from scratch for the new load order system, most of the GUI stuff simply hasn't been implemented yet.
-
Check here for an advanced education in leveled lists.
-
When you build the bashed patch a window pops up that lists every single record that is merged. Unfortunately it does not break it down by mod so you have to figure it out yourself. If BOSS is marking a mod with delev/relev it is being included in the bash patch.

DROPPED More Dynamic Shadows and Striping Fixed (by puuloo)
frihyland replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Your mod is fabulous and the shadows are gorgeous. Thanks for all the time and effort Due to a design error on Bethesda's part while making the CK, records from Skyrim.esm can be marked deleted instead of being merely disabled.Unfortunately this broken design has made your mod incompatible with many others. It is one of the primary purposes of STEP to test for incompatibilities in a mod. -
DLC Wiki leads to CTD causing .bsa files
frihyland replied to seekles's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yeah I thought about doing that but if I included every little step then the whole doc become tl;dr. I think what I'm gonna do is make little procedures like the one you just provided and take a snapshot and link them as thumbnails. Maybe with a few additional screenshots of the more confusing steps. And then way down the line a little video tutorial. I had been waiting for the guide to achieve a more complete and bug free stage so I don't have to update the graphics evey time a procedure changes. Alternately we could try and implement some spoiler tags in the wiki but I don't really see that flying. Anyway help is always welcome, we have a policy of lots of helpful posts and participation on the bbs before we grant wiki editing rights, and you my good man are on the fast track. -

AHC Mod Compiler is a pretty slick little app that will repackage and rename all of your mods for you. I have recently created a full STEP 2.1.1b xml template that will make installing it a lot closer to the 2 click panacea that many dream of. I am currently testing it and when confirmed working will upload and link from here. Sound to good to be true, thats because it is! But in a best case scenario you only have to download all step mods, run AHC on those mods (several hour process, just start it and come back later), and then use Wrye Bash to install all mods at once (another slow process but less than an hour). Now configure skyrim and play, note that you will still have to do the reading if you want to customize step at all but the standard install could be easier than making popcorn! Stay tuned more to come.

DROPPED Advanced Alloys Dwarven Bow and Quiver (by jaredschons)
frihyland replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yep they look like cheap plastic knockoffs for my money, I never did even install them. This kind of thing would go over well in a space age game as the work is top notch, but for Skyrim it's waaay not crafting friendly. -
I think he means that they manually painted on the mipmaps after they were generated to create the desired visual effect and that its not a common practice.
-
I did the same thing, its just a few lines to rewrite from the 2.1 wizard, good lesson for you Z if this is your first wizard though. SkyUI 2.1 wizard was written by the author of the Bash wizard language so...best practices and all that. I use it as a template for all my wizards.

SKYRIMLE Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival (by Chesko)
frihyland replied to Vond's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hope you enjoy STEP. Use bug reporting to report bugs, use each mods thread to report on them individually, and you may start a topic in STEP related to talk about step as a whole.
