More Camps and Shipwrecks https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9308 If you couldn't tell, I'm a nautical junky. :P Skyrim's vanilla shipwrecks were another annoyance for me. Pretty much everywhere I would look for a shipwreck, nothing would be there. This mod sets out to change that. If it's a logical place for a shipwreck, there might be one there. Definitely a worthwhile mod for those of us who like to adventure. And it's a worthwhile mod to those who don't feel the northern parts of Skyrim are worth the effort of exploring. The additions aren't much, but it definitely fills a rather ridiculously huge void, considering all the potential areas that should have shipwrecks and don't. And I consider the camps a nice bonus. :D I don't use followers, but the navmesh bug issues that were plaguing us for a while were apparently fixed before the modder took a hiatus. Even with the modder gone, it's definitely a worthwhile mod.

Speaking of which, it'd be cool if the referenced book were placed next to the nearby wayshrine. Or maybe an NPC (pilgrim) who'll foist it onto those willing (because I hate forced things). Actually, I think I'll suggest that to Chesko. I've read so many books in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim I can't even remember if that book is in Skrim. XD Â If it isn't, there was a modder who managed to add several books from past games in, so I can't see why that one couldn't be as well.

DROPPED aMidianBorn Hide and Studded Hide (by CaBaL120)
Sairven replied to mothergoose729's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That looks real. Whoa. Messing with my brain a little. o_O Very nice. -
@mothergoose This is why I shook my head when I saw TES5edit being recommended for use of non-mod authors DESPITE what Gopher explicitly stated in his 22-minute tutorial. Like Gopher said: Sometimes you want dirty edits because they're meant to make sure something stays vanilla because the mod requires it.

That modder is the definition of dedication.

You guys do realize it's version 0.7 right? It's not even complete. That's like calling a house that's being built useless and not worth anyone living in ever because you can still see through the walls at the moment. Come on now. Anyway, as someone who likes to just simply hunt in Skyrim, it's a very nice mod. I've actually managed to track several animals down thanks to it. There are some ugly bits to it... but again, it's not even finished yet. And based on that fact, it shouldn't be included in STEP anytime in the near or even distant future. And have you guys made footprints in the snow before? Snow like what Skyrim has doesn't produce "soft edges". Because it usually lays year round, it hardens, which makes footprints like the ones in this mod happen. What I don't care for though is the placeholder (hopefully it's just a placeholder) which makes it look like there's dirt in the Signus glacier gave. That just looked so horrible when I went through there yesterday. lol

Haha, good point. Too many of the VA's are meh. Though I kinda iron it out by saying, "Well, at least there's difference. And it's not like everyone in real life has a great voice." There's one character I wanted to rip to pieces, though. Good bits of lore in the dialogue, but holy crap they tried too hard and succeeded in making the voice actor sound like a petulant man child thing. I mostly use Interesting NPCs as a way to sort of pad out the world a little bit, as other multiple-NPC-adding mods kinda go way overboard.

As far as SDD compatibility goes, is it possible to simply just disable the Solitude esp? It would kind suck though considering how amazing a job zebra did on the Solitude docks. Hmm. Edit: Nevermind about the following. Was looking at SDD. Could simply just disable the Solitude esp from Better Docks. I've fiddled around before with Better Docks to move some boats around, what needs to be fixed? Or is it the dock worker NPCs causing problems? That's a bit far above my head, and I think the author of Interesting NPCs helped zebra out with that so I don't know if that can be helped if so.

Just wait till you see the Solitude docks. Lots of trade going on. :D Try not to reflexively kill a certain something on one of the trade ships like I did. Haha.
-
Yeah, the author even got around the vanilla bug that messes up NPC dialogue in the latest update. The NPCs added are so subtle and lore-friendly, the only way I know they're not vanilla is because it's not one of the 5 re-used voice actors.

Better Docks by zebra0 https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14087 Spruces up the docks of Skyrim (Solitude, Windhelm, Riften, and Dawnstar). As a US Navy Veteran, I was completely and utterly dismayed at the dismal state the vanilla docks in Skyrim were in. It's just inexcusable to someone who has been to more than 40 countries. Even the most ravaged countries have more lively docks than the joke that is vanilla docks in Skyrim. This mod changes that. I cannot properly express how awesome and amazing of a job this mod does in fixing the docks issue in Skyrim. While there are tiny nitpicks, this mod does a more than adequate job in making the docks more immersive without breaking any of the vanilla quests. Definitely an aesthetics/immersion mod if ever there were one. Edit: Better Docks now has a compatibility patch for Solitude Docks District!

SKYRIMLE Duke Patricks - Heavy Weapons Combat
Sairven replied to Bealdwine's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've been running Duke Patrick's Skyrim version of his Oblivion mod since late December, as well as updating each time a new release came about. Very worthwhile. But, by Duke's own admission, the mod is far from complete. Despite that, I still think the mod should have stayed in STEP. It does what it does very well despite being "incomplete".
