  1. The only time I had such an issue with the LAL bed, it was for female chars only and was caused by forgetting to re-run FNIS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  2. Sadly I didn't as I just saw it was updated on my phone, read what was fixed and then went over to computer to DL and it was hidden. While I do believe that the review brings up a lot of valid points, the mod still does many things right and I enjoyed the combat it brought. Will send a pm as well for support, and will take the time to try out Ultimate Combat some most likely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  3. Seems the author of Duel found that review and took things way too harsh and has hidden the file, just after releasing another patch.. The last line of the review was way too harsh, but I'll never understand why so many modders choose to do this when critiqued Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  4. Theres already 3rs person only mods in step tho no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  5. Do you have any mods overhauling dragons? Some of them cause this issue post-dragonborn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  6. Oblivion has more options for optimizing than skyrim does really, as theres also pyffi to optimize meshes. Takes ages but is pretty much a must to do both that and ddsopt to play modded Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  7. Rename SUM.esp to ReProccer.esp and it's fine. Just remember to do it after every time you've rerun the skyproc patchers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  8. When creating a patch it should always do that yes, but it sonderings happens when simply editing/cleaning a file as well, which is the situation my reply was aimed at Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  9. While I doubt it's the problem (but who knows, could be), here's one mistake in your loadorder: Remove the latter
  10. I think it does that when you choose to save a backup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  11. This is terrible advice. Loose files will always overwrite bsa's, so mixing loose files with bsa's will mess up your install order, results in unwanted textures overwriting the wanted ones and can cause all kinds of trouble if scripts are involved. You can do a search on the forums if you want to learn more on this. It would be better to just advise people to follow the STEP guidelines. WB is implementing (experimental support in latest v304 on SVN that's also available as installer in the WB thread over on Beth) support to see conflicts inside BSA files as well. There are performance gains from using BSA over loose files, so using BSA when you're SURE it causes no conflicts is the way to go, but currently it's indeed best to just use loose files tbh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  12. Was bored and had some spare time so started playing around with some Oblivion stuff just to have a basic install to build from. Forgot how much is needed just to get a basic Oblivion GOTY + Unofficial Patches, OBSE and some UI stuff added. The base UI was even worse than I remembered.. And oh my how awful that vanilla 3rd person-camera is! :) And then there's stutter remover, meshes that need to be PyFFIed, textures to be optimized, cleaning of DLCs and so on. An Oblivion project will most likely be quite huge even if we don't go for too much "bonus" stuff (considering the age of the game, there are some bloody amazing questmods out there)
  13. Right now I'm still hitting the limit even with full 1k texture packs and not just 1k normals. Are you suggesting the 4x2 res pines might be what is throwing me over the edge? Also, what is AV? I don't know what that stands for but have seen it mentioned multiple times here. For flora overhaul, don't use any of the optional pines etc, just use the ones in the main package. They look great already and as Aiyen says (and I told you before ;)) the 8k and 4k versions are just not worth it. Also, DO grab the 2k LOD texture from the optional downloads if you haven't, as the standard 4k version has issues. It is also another mod that benefits decently from ddsopt AV is automatic variants, easier you look up it up on nexus than I try to explain via phone :p Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  14. Yeah well, there's plenty of guides out there already if people want OOO or FCOM or whatever so I wouldn't recommend adding that. But leveling-overhauls such as nGCD (well, anything by tejon really :P) etc
  15. TEScosi is (or atleast was, it hasn't been updated in some time while I know there are certain mods I've had tracked on nexus for years that still get updated) a great resource to get into Oblivion modding, so it's a good starting point for sure
  16. Patches prolly won't need much changing, however it will be a good idea to look over pretty much all esm/esps again for cleaning as 3.0.30 catches a lot more ITMs than 3.0.29
  17. To be honest, an Oblivion mod guide would pretty much require gameplay mods as well as "STEP" mods, the original gameplay simply is that bad nowadays. :) Keep in mind a lot of changes they did to combat and such for Skyrim were based on mods for Oblivion (just as the hardcore mode in FNV was based on a mod for FO3 etc)
  18. Skyrim Performance Monitor as well as Elys MemInfo both report the same as taskmanager, you'll see huge dips in the RAM graph on performance monitor when using cleanmem
  19. I cleaned the esp before applying the changera and i still have that entry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  20. Too true... Gotten 6h sleep since I woke up Saturday morning, and I feel fresh as ever!
  21. From what I could gather about that "under-the-hood" review of Duel the problem isn't that it does nothing, because a lot of the stuff it does, works. The problem is it tries to do a lot of stuff that simply doesn't work, and that adds extra workload etc to your computer for no reason whatsoever. Some other things as well, but you'll see when you catch up on the posts. ;)
  22. Considering the discussion about Duel, here's a new alternative released today - Ultimate Combat ( https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36006/? ) Looks really good from first glance, and the author has released a few other mods that enhance combat that work well and that are recommended in the SR + Skyre/ASIS etc guide
  23. While it's pretty cool, it's nothing I felt like I needed to keep in my save after looking at for a short while. Probably because I don't really like sewers, but still. :P
  24. I'd support it for either FO3 och FNV, as I've been planning on replaying them both "soon" anyway :)
