  1. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10639 Another immerion mod, and again something I thought Bethesda would've included in a hardcore-mode like Obsidian did with FNV. I prefer this over what Obsidian did for FNV though, so no biggie! It's a hunger/thirst/sleep mod, that goes way beyond simply that and also adds nutrition to foodstuff and such (tons of stats for every food/drinktype for those who love that sort of thing). It's also quite customizable. I haven't noticed any mods that it is incompatible with, and there are patches for many mods that adds food and such to make it 100% compatible. It is amazing if you want to make your game more realistic, especially when combined with Frostfall, and if you use the Basic version it's still not an annoyance. I haven't personally tried the More Complex version (you pick version in-game) as the Basic version seemed perfect for me.
  2. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11163This is a realism mod which in my opinion adds a lot to the game, and something I'm surprised they didn't include in a hardcore-mode. It is an amazing mod for improving immersion, especially together with some other mods I'll suggest. The mod adds cold effects amongst other things, and you need to consider this when traveling. Wear warm clothing and a cloak, make a campfire, use torches etc - any heatsource helps, to various degrees. It is very complex but also very simple to use and very customizable. As far as I am aware, it is compatible with just about everything except other hypothermia mods. One note though, quoting from the mod description: What this last part means is that if you use Frostfall, disable the Get wet esp from WATER, as it is built into Frostfall anyway.
  3. Lush Grass has issues since 1.5, and causes a HUGE fps hit. Sadly, because it's gorgeous (especially combined with Glorious Grasses ). Elvenwood has issues if you use followers, he will fix it for a later version but for now I've stayed away from it. (There is another "tree-village" mod in Pinewood Village however).
  4. There's no need to run your mod through DDSOPT no, but it also doesn't hurt as it already finds your textures as saved in the proper format. But yes, many mods have textures that are not compressed properly, so using DDSOPT can help performance (lower VRAM usage) quite a bit.
  5. Using 301.25 and the fSplitDistanceMult=2.5000and fSkycellRefFadeDistance=300000.0000 (thanks for those tips) seems to have removed the flickering mountains for me. Atleast it wasn't nearly as noticeable as before. Still have some other shadows flickering, and ofcourse the annoying grass-shadows that we can't do anything about, but it was a clear improvement.
  6. Download the .inf file from here: https://www.mediafire.com/?zz6s1pwf2lssnlc (or just copy it from C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\301.24\WinVista_Win7_64\English\Display.Driver\nv_disp.inf as the .24 inf works for .25. Then drop that .inf into ...\Display.Driver\ for .25 and run the setup, it will now detect your card. Apparently the 301.32 beta is actually older than 301.25 (.32 = r300_00-124, .25 = r301_07-14), and are developer drivers. 301.25 runs Skyrim a lot better, so can ignore the .32 beta I'd say.
  7. Oh 301.32 came out during the night aswell? Great great :) And yes, 301.25 is for 670/680 but if you use the .inf file from .24 or so you can install it fine. I have 560 myself
  8. It has no UDRs atleast, which is a good sign considering there are no proper mod-cleaning tools out yet (TESVEdit can't come soon enough!).
  9. Nice job. :) Figured I'd point out however that there is a newer beta-driver out (very recent), 301.25 (https://downloads.guru3d.com/Nvidia-GeForce-301.25-Beta-64-bit-download-2901.html ). It had no changelog however so not sure if any of the Skyrim-issues are fixed, will look through the discussion-thread over on guru3d. Edit: Only mentions of Skyrim in the thread was this:
