Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Vond replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
So can the EBQO patch be used without the DB Forever mod? Yeah it was made to be used instead of that one. The original was made with snip and apparently deleted some quest properties Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -

You just missed the discussion about the mod elsewhere here on the forums :) The new DB Forever to Misc patch in EBQO does the same as the old mod that was included in STEP. It's a replacement that STEP will use as well with the next release. -

Mod Suggestions for SR - Post in STEP Mods Forum
Vond replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
From what I can tell have not asked in this thread before. In any case these are suggestions for Skyrim Revisited not the general S.T.E.P. guide. Isn't that what the Mod Suggestion forum is for (General S.T.E.P. mods)?I have never followed STEP. I have been following Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited only. I do know it is based on STEP, but I thought it was independent. I am not sure why the SR forum's need to be hijacked to fit into STEP, unless you are replacing STEP with SR.Parts of SR is being integrated into STEP, yes. It's even stickied here on the SR section of the forums. ;) Also, mods that are posted in the proper forum (I know I've made the mistake myself and only posted it here) are sure to be read both by Neovalen for possible integration into SR and by the core STEP team for possible integration into STEP. It's also more likely to be properly seen overall as it will have it's own thread, rather than risk being buried into discussion in a massive thread on the SR section. There's nothing stopping anyone from making the post in the Mod Testing forum and then posting in this thread with a link to the post you made. :) -

That is one of many nice features in SkyRe. I do believe there is a mod that does something similar, but not 100% sure.. Most likely not incredibly hard to create such a mod however! -

Shouldn't be the culprit though as I use 304 as well and it's working just fine -

It definitely places itself in /overwrite for me as well, using 0.12.9 MO and 304 WB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -

Atleast if you use bashed patch it's not necessary, as you can set up the patch to set crime radius to 1000 under tweaks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -
Moonpath to Elsweyr/interesting npcs
Vond replied to runsbuns's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I tries moonpath last year, it's well done and the new areas look amazing. The voice acting was sadly not up to the same standard as the rest of the mod, atleast when I played it through. One of my fav questmods currently is Wyrmstooth. It's huge, has great voice acting and some unique gameplay etc. Like moonpath it doesn't really conflict with much of anything as 99% of what it adds is in new areas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -

Tbh enough people have used Interesting Npcs without issue that I just ignore the previous snip-usage, esp as it was used to delete stuff and not actually do the modding. The mod is so amazing that it's bear impossible to go back after trying it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -

Hm might be actually when I think about it, 00 is Skyrim.esm, 01 is Update.esm, 02 Dawnguard.esm and 03 Dragonborn.esm (as it shouldn't load Hearthfire.esm). Not at home to check though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 I don't have Hearthfire DLC, I guess if anyone follow the guide and check every USKP TES5Edit might load Hearthfire.esm. Maybe that's why IDs are different? If it's the case that could be a problem since I don't think many people bought all the DLC. Well the SR guide is based on having all DLCs so that does explain the "issue" then. :) And honestly, everyone I know that plays Skyrim have all DLCs since they've been on sale for stupidly low prices (I picked up HF for $2 for example). And with legendary version coming any newcomers will have all DLC as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -

I think I missed something obvious in TES5Edit but I can't find the nodes... They stop around 0303xxxx. Since it's just a "description" correction it's not very important but still it's bugging me :) Sounds like you don't have the dragonborn version of W&FR Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -
I posted about it earlier today here on the SR forums so shouldn't be too hard to find :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

It works just as well to create one patch, creating more just makes it easier if you uninstall something. I personally patch *everything* into one esp but if you don't know how to easily remove the values from a mod you're deleting in the patch it can be a bit painful, so while I recommend it to keep esp-count down, I do so with caution.

DROPPED dark brotherhood forever moved to misc (by jman)
Vond replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Doesn't it also move the quest to start the dark brotherhood to the misc section? iirc it only does it for the quest(s) I mentioned thats always called dark brotherhood forever Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 -
Quick answer as I'm about to get into my car. Hopefully good enough! You'd do it the same way you created the patches in the first place, but instead you'd just Override *everything* from all the patches into one single file. Quickest way would be to rightclick on for example "Cell" in one of the patches and choosing "Deep Copy into..." rather than going thru every specific cell-edit manually.

Well it depends so much on what you want to merge. For merging the patches you created for SR, all you need to do is override all entries from all of them into one file and then disable the old patches and there won't be any issues. If you want to merge mods with FormIDs etc together you need to do a lot more work though, there is a guide posted here:Â https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/904953-how-to-merge-multiple-mods-with-multiple-master-files/
-
Post your esm/esp list from WB (easiest way since you can right-click on the File head and choose List Mods) and we can probably help you out with that. If you're using SR as a base with all its manually created patches you won't even need to uninstall anything, just do a bit of merging.
-
It merges those files into the bashed patch, so if you already used that you'll even save six, not five. So yes, you can deactivate them after (WB will show a + icon for files that are deactivated but merged) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

Just curious Neo - are you looking into adding perk-overhauls to SR? I know you said in the past you were looking into SkyRe etc, and it *does* work, but SkyRe is pretty far from bugfree and that post by you was made very long ago. :) Personally I wish SkyRe had a perk-only module, Wayfarer is such a great addition but there's quite a bit about SkyRe I don't like as well. There are so many other options though such as ACE, SPERG and various mods that change only certain things (magic overhauls, kryptopyr's Smithing and Sneak overhauls etc) but having something "official" for SR might be a good idea. I've played a bit with SPERG and it's quite decent, and also easy to replace the perktrees you don't like with something from another mod and it has a nice MCM menu etc, but there's for certain some gems out there I haven't found.
