  1. MO is not, nor can it, replacing your folders of meshes/textures with *.bsa files. When you install the game those files are already installed as default, or 'vanilla', and everytime you mod your game with new textures the new files, whether they are loose or inside a bsa will override the vanilla. What you are describing sounds like a case of poor conflict resolution! ie. the mods installed in MO's left-hand pane are not in an order that provides the needed assets for the plugin order, hence the missing assets symbol: red exclamation. Acquaint yourself with MO's wiki and the video tutorials and follow the order of mod installation as it is presented in the guide. If you encounter any further issues ask in the dedicated F&L:NV forum here in STEP.
  2. Only started happening with me in the last few days.
  3. You haven't installed the files correctly. When you install TES5Edit there should also be a folder called "Edit Scripts" which contain a series of *.pas files. This is where you should have installed DynDoLOD's scripts.
  4. If Fallout 4 needs more RAM than Witcher 3 to run I'll eat my hat, if I owned a hat that is!
  5. Hey @Neo, have you considered "Oils Never Expire" by 'Goat of Death'? Basically removes the need to constantly go back to the inventory during long combat sessions to refresh your oil. Some have considered it a cheat but I think that isn't fair as refreshing your oil via the inventory screen basically "stops time" and is itself a cheat, along with the fact you have these never-emptying bottles of oil.
  6. Thank you guys, with your tuition I am becoming a better witcher. Just now collected the Foglet trophy from the ancient foglet in the "Swamp Thing" quest. From what I have read some consider that a pretty hard battle so I must be doing something right if I can do it with dying once!
  7. Death March! and I will not lower the level to get past her. One thing I've noticed that I don't know if it can be changed or not, can I change the camera position to be a bit further back and higher up than it currently appears to me? I think I'm finding it difficult to judge the distance from me she is.
  8. Do you know whether the damage she inflicts ramps up according to what level you are? I've just noticed she's doing around 2000 HP damage to me but I only see around 1200 from those on the net. Thanks for the tip. I'll try again with rolling not dodging. Damn this is frustrating but so addictive. What a game.
  9. I've come to realise I absolutely suck at the combat in this game. No matter what I do, I just can't get my fingers to do the whole "dodge - hit - hit - dodge" thing properly. Currently I am trying, and failing, to dispatch 'Jenny o' the woods'. The tactics I'm taking are sound and I'm fairly sure I have ample armour and a good sword complete with Spectre oil to tackle this challenge, but I constantly am killed in two hits by her. This is what I do/have done: Either get Quen up and then Yrden, sometimes just Yrden and then dodge and draw her in to the trap and hit her. Rinse repeat! Sometimes I have taken Thunderbolt to aid in the power I inflict, sometimes not. Whenever the wraiths appear when she's healing I always get rid of them really quick, no problem with those. For some reason though, my dodging is just... well... crap. One hit and I'm 40% damaged, I struggle on and try to eat food/take potions to heal but usually I miss the next dodge again and I'm a gonna! I'm currently lvl10 with pretty good items and I've seen YouTubers at lvl5 take her on and have no issue. Can someone please give me a heads up on how to dodge properly? Most of the time I think I'm getting hit when Geralt dodges backwards and Jenny's reach is still good enough to hit. Is that my issue? Do I need to hit the dodge key and a left or right ALL the time?
  10. Your experience matches that of the wiki writers at the time of writing but it is not actually the "official" behaviour. Since the setup of your install and that of mine is identical we should be seeing the same save behaviour. However we aren't. It makes it very problematic to provide support for this tool when what we expect to happen doesn't and there is no clear reason why. Since you have the desired result however there isn't a great need to investigate further as in the scheme of things this doesn't rate high, just an odd curiosity.
  11. I've just now read his comments on the FNIS page over at Nexus and now the issue appears outside of MO! Either the instructions are not being followed, ie. enable .NET correctly, or there is something seriously wrong with that Windows install.
  12. If you have a look at the MO wiki you will find instructions on setting the correct .NET version and also where the logs are found. However since you have now shown the error is .NET related the logs are not necessary anymore.
  13. You'll need to supply your logs and the paths you have for both MO and FNIS. I'm on Win 10 running a non-administrator account for general play and MO is installed in: D:\Games\ModOrganizer\TESV\ModOrganizer.exeAccording to my MO settings this where FNIS is located: D:/Games/ModOrganizer/TESV/mods/Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/GenerateFNISforUsers.exeI see no issues with anything about version 6.x that makes it run, or not run, when compared to version 5.5.
  14. Are there any Boston movie/book/cultural references Easter eggs in Fallout 4? Would be good if we could leverage those if there are, make the selection that much more logical.
  15. I have no idea what you are talking about.
  16. If there's a game that can be modded then we, STEP, should show how to do it correctly. My preference is for a non-STEP formatted guide, just a simple single page guide like those also listed here.
  17. Apparently Codsworth has issues with saying some names but is fine with a couple of really weird choices.
  18. CDPR support team asked me to verify my game via GOG Galaxy, and although that tool advised that nothing was in error, or that any new/additional files needed to be installed, upon doing this and reloading the game from before the quest initialised has shown this quest is now fixed! Weird but pleasing.
  19. Did you make sure to check the address to the new install of FNIS in your settings was pointing to the new FNIS? ie. if your previous installation of FNIS was in a folder called something like: "FNIS -- 5.5" and now your new installation is in: "FNIS -- 6.1" then the location is different.
  20. Ahh... interesting, so instead of having the executable named xEdit.exe and adding the switch "-fo3" you renamed it to FO3Edit.exe and the DLCs where saved into the original location. Will try that on my system and check if that's the reason. No! That's not it. Damn, I thought we were on to something. Thank you for providing that extra information though, very thoughtful and helpful.
  21. I think the forum should be on the same level as the other dedicated tools in the "Support" forum ie. MO, xEdit, DDSOpt, ENB, etc. Most of the work STEP does is centred around Bethesda games, which is what those tools cater for, and is where Mator's Tools will be focused. The only exception so far in this is the Witcher tool which needs to be in an "Other tools" sub-forum.
  22. I've not ruled anything in or out! Same behaviour happens on my laptop which has a slow 5400RPM HDD, so I'm really not sure what's going on.
  23. Just now checked this out and, sure enough on my Samsung smartphone this is the behaviour. Searches from the PC are fine.
  24. The "Cleaned" ESMs should be below, ie. have a higher priority number, than the unmanaged ESMs! That's the whole point of cleaning them, so that those files are used and not the originals.
  25. Thank you. Hmm... this is troubling, exact same versions and setup as me yet two completely different output results. I would really love to track down what makes this difference.
