  1. Thanks guys for your answers. If I understand it right by not doing 2N patches it will cause some glitches and certain new content will not show. If this is the case it is maybe a bad idea to test other mods if 2N is not done, since glitches and new content will not show up right? hmm...its just seem like so much hassle to update bashed patch and FNIS almost every time I test a new mod but I guess this is the only way to test other mods properly.
  2. I just wonder if I have to install 2.N. Patches after installing everything else or will it cause problems if I dont do it? The reason I ask is that I'm going to test many other mods and I'm afraid that I have to do a lot of extra work with bashed patch and FNIS when testing other mods. Cheers :)
  3. What I did was to install a new mod organizers so now Im using 3 different mod organizers, all with its own mod folders. This way you do whatever you want with one MO/profile and it will have no impact on any other MO.
  4. What happened with this mod? was it rejected?
  5. Just did a quick test ingame and the flickering only appear at longer distances, much longer than with SMIM or vanilla. I also like the visual design of the fences better than SMIM and vanilla. The only negative thing I can see is that the "binding" on top and at the bottom is clipping with the fence poles.
  6. I'm just curious, why is this link named "killable children" and not "Non-Essential Children"? Also the mod link is not linked to the right mod.
  7. aha I forgot that I recently installed creation kit also. Thanks again for you help Doubleyou :) I guess those files will not be loaded when I start up game or create any problems right?
  8. ops...thanks for pointing put the missing question hishutup :) , my english is not that well and it was late :P I rewrite the post and I hope it is more clear now. Im using Mod organizer and it dont place any files into skyrim data folder so I was surprised to find some folders and files that was not there from the skyrim installation. And I wonder if it can be wyre bash that add those files when making a bashed patch or something else that put those folders/files into skyrim data folder.
  9. Hi guys I have been installing STEP and my Skyrim data folder have not changed since install of the game since Im using Mod organizer. But now I suddenly found a lot of folders and files there and Im unsure where they came from. This is the folders Im talking about: DialogueViews LSData Scripts shadersfx Sound Total: 15311 Files 15 folders 68,5 MB size in total So Im hoping someone can recognize this folder combination and help me find find out where they came from. Can it be from making a bashed patch? and if not bashed patch any idea? As said above Im using MOd organizer so I see no reason for any files or folder to appear in Skyrim data folder at all but I have never used bashed patch before. The last things I did was to add STEP Extended patch and made a bashed patched. Any thoughts on the subject is highly welcomed :) Sry for my bad english but I hope this is understandable.
  10. Thanks phazer11 :)
  11. I would guess that they need to be put back where they was but I dont trust my judgement on modding yet :P
  12. I have just installed STEP and updated MO to 1.2.14. Now the texturepacks and DLC's that previous was in the install order in the left window is moved to the top. Should they be moved back to their original position according to STEP? 13. Thanks for quick reply hishutup :) About launcher: So if I launch skyrim launcher through MO and I change some settings in launcher, will MO profile ini files also change? I thought it would not. This is my reason for asking about this. I wanted to test out "object fade" setting and changed ticked the setting box in launcher. i did not find any change in the ini files so I thought nothing happened, but I noticed a a few frames was lost ingame but I though that was probably some other reason. Engine? About MO add lines: So for some reason MO find it cool to add some lines to my precious pure ini files? I actually think that happen one time when I was exploring the configurator but Im not 100% sure. "natural exists" do you mean those settings that Skyrim use from start but that is not in the ini files for some strange reason ?
  14. Hi I Thought nothing except the user could change or add anything to the MO profile ini files, but today I find this settings that I cant remember I ever added there. iWaterReflectHeight =512iWaterReflectWidth =512 Can it be a mod or something else that change/add this settings, or have I been editing in my sleep?
  15. I tested without the mod and only once did I experience a spinning animation and that was after being hit with a axe and it looked authentic. Most of the time my char and npc's die looking like ragdolls just falling to the ground. The few times the spinning effect comes seem to just add some diversity. Since I don't see much difference with or without this mod I will skip it. I do not use any STEP patches at this stage.
  16. hehe yeah, it was a detail "glitch" damn...are you humans after all...damn it...I had hopes... that's why I am here, when you forget things I remind you of it, and then you can remind me of my own "glitches"...win win And as said before in another thread: I gladly help you guys if wanted with minor things like instructions etc...this STEP project is unique to my knowledge in the history of modding and it would be an honor to take part.
  17. I agree, leather version look better but I have problem accepting it as leather, it look more like rubber. But if you guys are happy with it I rest my case, leather is leather
  18. According to core mandate: STEP:Core is about "... HD asset replacements in the style of vanilla Skyrim". Based on that I can't see how this mod fit into that. This armor seem to come from mass effect or something like that....not skyrim...
  19. Just some feedback: From Wiki STEP guide: Conversions of other mods (the following apply to STEP:Core. Select anything else applicable if using an extended mod list)aMidianBorn Skyforge Weapons by CaBal and EmeraldReignThis sentence could have been a little clearer to avoid misunderstandings: Select anything else applicable if using an extended mod list This can be very easily misunderstood as users have to search the mods in STEP extended and see if some is in the "Conversions of other mods" list options in the installation process. But after reading it over again and finding out that there is more than one Nightingale mod out I understood that it did not refer to STEP extended but if I use an extended mod list. Maybe I'm just too focused on small details but small things like this could have saved me some time and avoided installation issues so if user friendliness is a goal here is something that can improve I'm not really sure if posts like this have any value for you guys, so I ask: Do you want posts like this or not? If not I will not make more posts like this...
  20. Point taken. I know how merge/replace/rename work but my understanding of consequences is not good enough to make good decision regarding this when it come to individual mods. I guess it just come down to trail and error and hopefully learn something from that, but my knowledge and understanding will never be good since I'm not a programmer or used to working with files. Anyway I did not mean a detailed explanation, just a simple "this files can safely be merged" or " dont merge this files". And from a user point of view and I guess also from a support point info like this would make this easier and cause less need for support, but that's just my thoughts about it. Good examples for use of different files for different profiles since the mods directory stay the same between profiles.
  21. Im sry but I have to ask here also, can this three files (Skyrim Flora Overhaul Basic Edition v187/Recolored Pines and LODs for Basic v181b/Dragonborn addon v02) be merged safely? In my head that seem like a good option ;) I'm really missing that MO options merge/replace/rename is not on the wiki guide for most mods sadly :( I miss this info so much that I can help out to add info about this to all mods in STEP guide if someone can help me find out what option is recommended for each mod :D I guess there is more noobs like me out there that have no clue about what to do.
  22. I merged the main file and the SMIM patch file, but I see that both files have many of the same files. Should they have been installed separately?
  23. Thanks
  24. I got the same issue today :( any fix for this?
  25. I just want to report "flying bodies" issue as so many others. And yeah it break immersion to run through corpses and skeletons, but even more immerse breaking is it to see dead bodies or skeletons be kicked 5 meters away or in the right situation fly around after walking over them. Yeah it dont happen that often but often enough to make annoying. This happen also in fights with a few dead corpses on the ground. I'm a noob but I will not recommend this mod...cool idea but not working well enough due to Skyrims physics engine. I have to say that it add some funny situations though :)
