  1. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:NVIDIA_Inspector#Setting_Up_the_Skyrim_Profile "Warning: Inspector nor STEP can be held liable for any possible mishaps resulting from overclocking video cards." Needs a "Neither", I think. https://wiki.step-project.com/XPMS_Extended#Recommendations "Notice: When updating this mod, remember to run FNIS. For new users, FNIS will be ran at the end of the Guide."
  2. I just fired up Skyrim, using SKSE registered through MO in order to continue my STEP: Extended game. After that, I changed to my mod testing profile in MO and tested out some new mods. I can confirm that not only is MO alive and well, it still is MO's time. Just like it still is WB's and NMM's time, if those are the mod managers that work for you.
  3. All good. Now I just roleplay that it’s the sun shimmering on the mountaintops.
  4. Don't get me started on their epic fail regarding memory management... I'm not using an ENB preset, but I am using ENBoost. I'll test it on a vanilla setup to see if it still happens.
  5. In Skyrim, does anyone know what causes my FoV to clip through static meshes at the edge of my monitor screen at certain angles? So if I'm standing flat up against a house and I turn to look right or left, at certain angles I can see what's behind the house at the extreme right or left edge of my screen. Refer attached screenshot. And one other thing I'm curious about - why do the models on the loading screens suddenly get an injection of colour just before loading is finished?
  6. Just wanted to say thanks for putting this together. I remember when I first did a STEP: Extended install, about 2 years ago, and it was rock solid in terms of stability but the z-fighting was still terrible. Now, with BethINI, the z-fighting is not really noticeable unless you're looking carefully for it. However, I do get shimmering (not flickering like z-fighting) snow textures on distant mountains - do you know what causes this?
  7. I understand, but you've been consistent pointing it out for the other mods to which this applies, hence why I raised it.
  8. For Disease Descriptions it says: STEP Extended Patch users DO NOT need to install this mod. For Version, select only Vanilla (unless you use Realistic Needs and Diseases), and for Official DLCs, select both Dawnguard and Dragonborn. But this isn't a Core mod. Wouldn't the above only make sense if it was a Core mod?
  9. You might like to note in the notes for Wiseman303s Flora Fixes that the SMIM patch can be merged with the main file.
  10. https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Performance_Monitor#Recommendations Example setup image: file path for the Skyrim INI points to skyrim.ini, while the images on SPM's mod page point to skyrimprefs.ini.
  11. https://wiki.step-project.com/BethINI In the INI Path box, browser to the profile previously created when installing Mod Organizer
  12. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Wrye_Bash If ther is any uncertainty, uninstall and then reinstall Skyrim from scratch to this point. Also, the image showing as Figure 1 isn't correct: 1. It contains the bashed patch esp 2. It's missing the DLC esps and BSAs 3. Textures.log shouldn't be there 4. The description should read: These are the only files that should appear in skyrim/Data/. 5. The Data folder also contains 3 subfolders: Interface, Strings and Video - you may like to mention those as well for clarity. Just a thought - to save overhead here and ensure consistency, why not just remove the paragraph under "Establish a Clean Skyrim Install" and link to the Revert Skyrim to Vanilla section.
  13. Sorry to be picky: https://wiki.step-project.com/BethINI: Select the a INI and click [Open] and: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Troubleshooting#How_do_I_restore_vanilla_Skyrim.3F: Disable Automatic updates in Steam -> Skyrim Properties -> Updates tab by setting it to [Do not automatically update this game]. Should be: [Only update this game when I launch it]. Thanks.
  14. Apologies for the thread necro but I see this was recommended but looks like it's never been considered. As it supplements SMIM, it would seem to me to be a potential candidate for STEP:Core.
  15. Hey - just saw your reply after all this time. I'm keen to know how to use RP with MO - if you'd care to write up how to do it or post a link to a resource. Thanks! :)
  16. According to the RadeonPro developer they are "probably not compatible". But will RP & ENBoost work together?
  17. I posted this in the official forums but perhaps I should've posted here first... I'm creating a build using STEP core and I'm up to the ENBoost step. I'm also using RadeonPro with SweetFX enabled using a preset recommended for Skyrim. I know that using ENBoost with SweetFX is fine. I have set Mod Organiser to run through Skyrim Performance Monitor, per the instructions. However, for RadeonPro to do its thing I have pointed it to the Skyrim executable (I had it set like that before I reverted Skyrim to vanilla and embarked upon a STEP install) so that SweetFX can work its magic. Now things have become more complex, I have a few questions: 1. In RadeonPro, should I nominate the executable under the launcher tab to be ModOrganizer.exe? 2. What's the benefit of going full ENB over sticking with SweetFX? 3. Will RadeonPro and SPM conflict in any way? I'm running an iMac with 1GB VRAM & 16GB RAM.
  18. Ah, of course. Thanks for clarifying.
  19. What do you mean by "Extended"?
  20. I note on the STEP 2.3.0 page that both Skyrim Performance Monitor and DDSopt are no longer featuring under the Utilities section. Is there a particular reason for this? From my lurking on various sites (including this one) it seems some users might be encountering issues with DDSopt. I know 2.3.0 is under development so should be used at own risk but I was just curious about the omissions. Thanks
  21. Hi New here so hope this is the right place to post. The link on https://wiki.step-project.com/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&returnto=Guide%3ASTEP+Community+Citizenship this page is broken (404 error). The reason I'm posting is to let you know that your page on reverting Skyrim back to vanilla needs to be updated. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again 1. The .esp & .bsa files for the 3rd high quality texture pack need to be mentioned; 2. My vanilla install didn't have a reslists folder; (what is this, by the way...?) Also, it might be useful to post a supplementary guide to reverting a Skyrim + CK install to vanilla. Although it only takes a few minutes to download and install the CK so no biggie... Thanks
