  1. Hey there ! This a small & shameless self-advertising Nexus mod page : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69878/? Just released a "wheel menu" that give quick access to Campfire / iNeed / Bathing in Skyrim features. Posting it here as I figured some folks using SR:LE might be interested to reduce the number of hotkeys they use. There isn't, and won't be, support for frostfall in its current version (Since 3.0 is supposed to be mostly based on Campfire). I already had request for Hunterborn, and plane for making something similar for Immersive Horses (and maybe Convenient Horses) as well. Cheers, Kesta
  2. Touché Yeah, got your point on the issue of "telling people to act counter to an author's directions". Might lead to really dumb situations... I don't feel like arguing more about this clean/noclean ITM stuff, matter of opinions I guess. Plus, a lot of them are harmless in most cases. Truth is, peoples don't have any reasons to trust me rather than mod authors themselves anyway
  3. Nothing from LOOT regarding your plugins on my setup, and I use all of them ;) Since you're who you are, I'll avoid sounding too acerb, but simply put : From the programming side, it's only possible to fix the code, not the users. This is explicitly written in the xEdit nexus page, as well as in every documentation/ guide available, that attempting to clean multiple plugins at once will break them : That's from the main page. I know and understand that users unable to read the documentation are a real issue and a PITA. I also understand that you're too benevolent to just answer them with a short "RTFM". But still, that's not an argument to justify so-called "required ITM" imho, or consider the "Clean ITM Records" function not-so-safe.
  4. Record with modified formID so it begin with 01 instead of the plugin's index. It allow multiple mods to share the same record as if it was in Update.esm, thus enabling them to work within some kind of framework (both plugins can reference the same injected record without having a common master). (I really need to go back to finishing this xEdit guide...) As for GDO : Yeah, you should definitely not clean it, as their is nothing to clean anyway. The LOOT warning is an artifact from older versions where GDO was relying on SPIKE.esm
  5. Should be discussed in details with EssArrBee (IIRC he's the one in charge of STEP patches), but easiest solution would be to completely disable the name patcher, and let the STEP patch take care of potential conflicts regarding names as it always had. To disable the name patcher : When you've got the prompt after selecting "rebuild patch...", there is a list of various things to check/uncheck. Just uncheck "Import Names" and that's it. (Not about the prompt to disable mergeable plugins, the next one). As for users who doesn't have the know how but use mods atop of STEP... imo you can leave them be, actually the explainations as why those name are blanked by the USKP was a bit unclear imo, but I can't find Arthmoor's post about it (I was pretty sure it was in one of the WB update thread on Bethsoft...). But some other mods such as Fishing In Skyrim also need removed names. So It'd be better to double check it all in xEdit.
  6. Name patcher was deactivated in previous versions of WB (305) because it was buggy. It undergone some attempt to be fixed, but this issue is still here, it doesn't recognize "Blanked" name as override, even if the Name tag is applied. Thus your issue. Just get rid of this record (and other presenting the same one). Edit : Oh, didn't read last page... sorry. Everything else is just as Alternity explained.
  7. +1 with Tech, though I wouldn't get rid of it for two reasons : 1) Werewolf 2) Horseback Enough said
  8. If you're using WB as mod manager to install mod, yes, you'll encounter less issue and won't have to tweak its configuration to get it working. If you use just it through MO for the Bashed patch and some other features (esmification and such), you don't really care.
  9. He put them to work. They spend their life making new lods, so he can include them in future release.
  10. Now that you mention it, I also have sD3DDevice set in my skyrim.ini, and got the same error from MO... and I never added this value there myself, it's the one generated by Skyrim during initialisation... Edit : What I mean is, the value is also in my non-MO Skyrim.ini (the one in the Document\My Games\Skyrim folder), as well as in every Skyrim.ini from various MO profiles.
  11. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_INI https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:SkyrimPrefs_INI Not the most pleasant lecture, but quite informative (if I'm not mistaken, we have DoubleYou to thanks for those). In short : Yes, some settings are put in the wrong ini file by default, and thus have no effect. So the game use the default value for that settings, as if it wasn't in the ini file. However, the setting do have an influence, but only if placed in the other file. Note that some other settings are just complete pacebo and have no effects, no matter where you write them. Check each setting in the guide individually to know which one.
  12. Don't have TW3 (yet) so I can't tell for sure. But for what I know of modern game visuals and of Skyrim : STEP (even with vividan) don't compare to a modern game. However, STEP is aimed at a large public, and people with the computer to handle it can still raise Skyrim's beautification to a level close to a 2015 game, minus a few quirk of the game engine : - Animations will NEVER be as smooth as in a modern game. Distant terrain and LOD still need improvement, will need to wait for DynDOLOD to have even more content. - As of now, there is no mod to meet ultra-high quality characters meshes for male. (Only one for female, by the name of Lady Body, but which is sadly designed to be incompatible with almost everything other mod ever created...). Maybe if Mok Chaotikran come back and delve into meshing we will have something good enough... - Except if Boris have some surprise for reflection on metalic / polished / shiny / ugottheidea surface in a future version of ENB, it will never reach what's accomplished in modern game (not sure how good TW3 is on this though). - I doubt anyone ever find a way to make the grass look as good as it should (From what I saw in TW3 video, this is a MAJOR difference with Skyrim modded graphics). Edit : How, and physic and HQ hair of course... Edit : And after one more hour doing some test with temporal AA on my skyrim... well, I'd rather temper my post : Skyrim can look almost as good as a 2015 game in screenshot
  13. If this mod is officially banned from Nexus, I think I'll have more "banned" textures than not in my setup xD However, if the mod get banned on Nexus because the authors is asking for money, there is still nothing about texture piracy, so it's very different than EWI's or SRO stuffs, as it's not a "no go by respect for original authors". Basically, I don't see any reason to remove it from STEP if it is still available for free on the author's own website. (If understand everything right, the only paid part is about v1.7, while STEP is currently built arround 1.6).
  14. Basically automate a large part of what's currently done by manual patching to create things such as STEP Patches (those you install at the very end of your installation).
  15. "New" bash tags aren't available for release versions yet. Have a look here for updated (but not safe to use) versions of WB : https://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1534516-wipz-wrye-bashexp-skyrim-patcher-update-thread-3/ Not 100% sure if WB is taking into consideratio loot suggestion even if they're not embeded in the plugin' desc. IIRC it does it, but only if the mod is in "automatic tagging" (i.e. the Bash Tags field in WB is lightly greyed for this plugin, and if you right click there, you'll notice that "Automatic" is ticked).
  16. Uh ? WB work fine when out of game directory. You just have to download the standalone executable (or the python if you're into that kind of things ) instead of the automated installer, and unzip it in your Tools folder.
  17. Haven't noticed this on win7 (using chrome)... it's talking about a "youtube app" in NeoValen's link, could it only be a win8/10 thing ?
  18. Currently under moderation review on Nexus. I don't understand anything about how their forum work, so I haven't found the discussion thread about it. But according to some comments on reddit, there is accusation of stolen ressources.
  19. That Ancestor Moth Mugiwara edition ?
  20. Personnal opinion on those 3 water mods : - Pure Waters : The water is still, very transparent, and the color less "fantasy" than the other two (probably due to transparency) - WATER : Have the lowest transparency of the three, depending on the scene, it can sometime lead to the water looking a bit fake (not as much as the vanilla one ofc :P). More realistic water flow than PW. - RWT : Aside world edits, the feel is similar to WATER, but with more transparency (not as much as PW), which help a lot avoiding the "can look a bit fake" effect. It's far from exaustive or objective ofc, just my percetion between the three. As an exemple, Pretendeavor's post above raise a point I never actually noticed until now (and thus will have to strip out Purity to check this out ). To me purity is only better for the marsh, everywhere else it's not as realistic as WATER/RWT because of water flow imo. Side note since OP is PidgeyPrince and will most likely try to understand what I'm talking about with this "can look a bit fake because of transparency" thing : The third comparison in the vid show an area where I got this feeling with WATER and not with the other two. (The pond in the volcanic area). If not for the sun reflection, the water plane look a bit too "solid" imho.
  21. Yes, the load order "definition" is : The sorted list of checked plugin So checking/unchecking a plugin, adding/removing a plugin, changing a plugin's name, or changing a plugin's position is a change to your load order. However, regarding DSR, you only really need to rerun the patcher if you add/remove (or check/unceck) a mod which have weapons / shields. Note that not only weapons/shields pack actually have weapons and shield. Lot of quest mod or populating mod add their own as well. And it's not necessarily obvious since they can have the same visual, only different stats / enchantment / or so.
  22. Just sounds like the armorspells visuals re-enabled by CRF. Provide screenshot for confirmation, or check CRF screenshot page on nexus to see if this is wht you see in your game.
  23. You should just have gone for the "no more falppy bird" sub-title As for my personnal taste, I won't budge from "Pretty Jump Animation" (the "good" one, not the BS flip), simply because I also use Jump Interruption, and Pretty Jump Animation is the only jump animation mod out there that include an proper landing anim. But I have to admit that this new one have some sexyness in it.
  24. While your angryness / disappointment is pretty understandable, I think this sentence resume about everything that need to be told about the paid mods "issue" : That's exactly what no-one wanted, but everyone feared, "mods made within a month", and then released on paid plateform. Nothing personnal, and all this is over anyway. Hopefully you'll keep modding.
