SKYRIMLE Warburgs Detailed Paper World Map (by Warburg)
torminater replied to Besidilo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yup that's the way to go. If you disable fast travel through mcm it doesn't hurt the functionality of WDPWM in any way I could think of. -
ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)

Infinite Loading Screens? We really need to work on the tagging of abbreviations... :D -
Please use the green "Vote this post up" button underneath a post, instead of posting +1. This keeps the threads nice and tidy.

We already have a extensive thread on Cleanmem on these forums. In the STEP consensus, it is not advised to use it. Instead use Stable uGrids, ENBoost and the SKSE beta.

Follow the STEP guide. It says which parameters you should alter. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Immersive Creatures (by lifestorock)
torminater replied to phazer11's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Google "skytweak". There you can set general game parameters. You can also make your own patch by altering some of the values. Or just take draugr guardians out of the game entirely. -

DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)
torminater replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Will do today. -
Yup, go through it. Now, it takes me less than 4 hours to complete a step core install provided that all packages are downloaded. A skyrim revisited install 8-12 hours, depending on how fast I am with TESVEDIT. You'll get a lot faster with time, however you'll still spend more time modding than playing.

Damn... I fail at the game!
torminater replied to Octopuss's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Yup. Go to a trainer for enchanting and do 5 lessons per level from now on. Use potions and poisons, improve your gear and level up your enchanting until you can put two on each item. Smith all items to max stats. Keep your smithing perks in mind though. Use smithing buff potions. Enchant everything with full grand soul gems using enchanting buff potions including cloaks and other mod added item categories. Use resist fire, ice, shock resistance. For encounters with falmer craft/use resist poison and elemental resist items. Your standard armor should give you as much elemental resistance as possible. For special enemies use sets of rings, amulets and cloaks that add resistance buffs as you need them. Also grab enough soul gems to refill your magic items, use powerful staffs in the worst case scenarios. If you don't have a very powerful unique sword you want to use, enchant your best upcrafted sword with fire damage using full grand soul gems and add another one with the paralyze effect to the mix. If doing one-handed, enchant two swords with the mentioned enchantments. Strike with paralyze, kill with fire. Use poisons that increase fire vulnerability. If you still have gold and resources left, hire followers and suit them up in the best gear for their class. Use follower mods and npc enchantment fix. If you did all of this and still are not massively overpowered I cannot hep you. -

Yeah, I missed the integrated FOMOD required note, because I just read the changelog -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I needed to run Immersive Armors installer with the integrated FOMOD installer, otherwise it would not install properly. -

ENBoost detects wrong graphics adapter
torminater replied to agentsmith's question in Post-Processing Support
Yeah, that's why I added the "xD" after the question. I know about how to disable Optimus, but also that that's not a viable option. However, it is good to have that said explicitly, before sb gets the wrong ideas ;-) -
ENBoost detects wrong graphics adapter
torminater replied to agentsmith's question in Post-Processing Support
Yup, changing to the injector version fixed the issue for me. Is there actually any method to get rid of optimus? xD -
Well, unfortunately I'm unable to display any of the three comments on this bug... do I have to register to view them? However I've found out, that my install was faulty. I had accidentally replaced the d3d9.dll from the Optimus fix with the one from enbdev before trying to launch from MO. So at least for me on my laptop it's the same, whether I'm using Skyrim Launcher directly or through MO. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've got some time today, so I'll make a nose dive into the gutters and find out whether I can force it to work
-
Yop that's what's wrong with my laptop as well! :-)

As a student of medecine I can tell you, that given enough time (seconds to minutes) anybody with a healthy sight can say which movie was rendered at a higher FPS. Not the exact number of FPS, at least not without training or comparisons with known FPS numbers. There are no FPS limits in your brain, just thresholds that need to be overcome by a stimulus to reach the cognitively involved areas of the brain. The stimulus has either to be intense or last for a certain period of time to overcome the threshold. These thresholds adapt naturally to what the person needs it to be. Sb. who needs quick reflexes will react faster to a visual stimulus of a shorter duration than sb who tends to do no such thing. This applies to short stimuli, but also to motions. Further details on motion detection and prognostics in the article below. As stated clearly in the video some high velocity movements may seem choppy/-ier even at the framerate of 200 if compared to the real event. For further details and explanations please read this article: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Sensory_Systems/Visual_Signal_Processing

DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)
torminater replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I can try to run this on my laptop. However it might be noted that I am already down to 30-35 fps on core and 20-30 fps on extended in most ressource heavy areas. -
Sounds interesting enough, that I might take the time to watch it. However I am just a little man in this world, and I've considered trying to change it, but concluded that all those power-lusty guys up there can screw themselves for all I care. If I was in a novel or movie I would be pretty angry on how stuff is running currently and in the past and I would try to unravel everything and undermine all those nutters who think they own power over the world by the right of their existence. However I am not a hero of legends, I have to go to the bathroom for more obvious reasons than changing my appearance for another undercover job. I have to eat, drink, pay bills, work for money and work on building a family existence. For all I know that's enough to keep anyone on this planet busy. I'll leave the anti-mainstream streams and their pursuits to those that have time and will to pursue them.

Could you give a brief summary about what they say in the video? I just can't spare the 2 hours it takes to watch the movie atm.
