F&L TTW Convergence Feedback
Adonis_VII replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
For the time being, I'm collating a lot of changes/fixes to be made for some of the mods that the conversion script doesn't cover here: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Adonis_VII. This is not definitive in any way. I just wanted to write everything I've found for hopefully some discussion at some point. I'd still consider myself a novice at this compared to some of the more experienced members, but it should serve as a launching point. Most location/lighting stuff is easy. I have no experience with scripting however so I'm not touching any conversions with scripts. Also many of the NV mods need proper extensions for FO3 weapons (IMPACT being the largest culprit). -
Awesome! I just tried it and it works now. Thanks for the help.

Hi guys, I'm having the same issue. I've tried multiple times on multiple days and no success. I assume it would be because I also have an underscore in my name?

I'd be up for it. I had an issue logging in with my account on the wiki before. I'll look at it again. -

F&L TTW Convergence Feedback
Adonis_VII replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
On the lighting side I'm running the following without issue: TTW - Fallout Street Lights (thanks TJ, glossed over instructions first go) https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/ttw-street-lightsTTW - Realistic World Lighting https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/ttw-realistic-wasteland-lightingTTW - Realistic Interior Lighting https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/conversion-realistic-interior-lightingFO3 - Megaton Lighting Overhaul (Self Converted)FNV - Old World Blues Path Lighting https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/conversion-realistic-interior-lightingFNV - Interior Lighting Overhaul (Note TTW Interiors is used instead of NV Interiors. The patch for NV Interiors would need to be altered. Also I'm not running the TTW version which is outdated)FNV - Electro-CitySo far these all work without issue and look fantastic. I think I have all the base weapons worked out from whats available so far (none of the added ones). I'll post the combined order for all of them later, along with an updated list of texture/mesh mods. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Adonis_VII replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I'm seeing a similar light. I remember having the same issue with Skyrim a while ago. -
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12867/? Part of Lord Inquisitor's "Tweaked" series for Fallout 3 & NV, this mod modifies the mesh of the Automat to make it more 3D adding grills, keys, money slot, etc. It can be used as a straight replacer. An optional esp can be used to allow the Automat to be closed (in vanilla it can only be opened).

FALLOUT3 Metro Carriage Interiors (by WastelandLoner)
Adonis_VII replied to Adonis_VII's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Falcon-lair has the original (I think) here (1.06): https://falcon-lair.com/files/file/152-busworld-rus-106/ and an updated version with fixes and compatibility with DC Interiors and Metro Carriage Interiors (2.0.1): https://falcon-lair.com/files/file/325-busworld-rus/. I tried a conversion myself but still had some of the smaller objects in Russian (First esp I've ever really gone and edited so I'm sure you'll have more luck). EDIT: Here is Quazar's Busworld HD Retexture to go with it if you get it working: https://falcon-lair.com/files/file/352-busworld-hd-retexture/ -
FALLOUT3 Fallout 3 DLC Retextured (by QuasarX aka MagnesiumFire)
Adonis_VII replied to Adonis_VII's topic in Fallout 3 Mods
I just used a Google Translator Firefox plugin (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/google-translator/?src=ss) to translate what each link says and to read the descriptions. It works quite well. I understand being leery, but the site checks out and while a slight pain to make another account, it was worth it for me to have the best Fallout 3/NV I can get. -
FALLOUT3 Fallout 3 DLC Retextured (by QuasarX aka MagnesiumFire)
Adonis_VII replied to Adonis_VII's topic in Fallout 3 Mods
Quite a few of the Russian Fallout community don't seem to use the nexus at all. There are a couple versions of mods that I've had to get from there because only the updated versions are there (e.g. a more stable Busworld with comparability built in). While I understand not wanting to post non-english sites, the fact that this texture pack is of high quality and covers ALL the DLC, which remain virtually untouched otherwise, made it worth it. I do agree on the .exe. I listed it as it is however as it is technically the latest version. I can remove the link if mods think it is inappropriate. -
I'd like to suggest an amendment for Robots HD Retexture: Files that override EVE to be hidden: textures/creatures/sentryturret/sentryturret_g.ddstextures/creatures/sentryturret/sentrybot_g.ddstextures/creatures/mistergutsy/mistergutsyweapons_n.ddstextures/creatures/mistergusty/mistergutsyweapons.ddsFiles that should override EVE: textures/creatures/mistergutsy.ddstextures/creatures/mistergutsy_n.ddstextures/creatures/sentrybot/sentrybot.ddstextures/creatures/sentrybot/sentrybot_ntextures/creatures/sentryturret/sentryturret.ddstextures/creatures/sentryturret/sentryturret_n.ddsThis way you keep the higher resolution color and bumb maps from robots, and getter the better guns and lighting from EVE. I'd maybe make a wiki page for it, but I'd have to figure out how to do that first.

FALLOUT3 Robots HD Retexture (by QuasarX aka MagnesiumFire)
Adonis_VII posted a topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Robots HD Retexture is a high definition retexture of all the robots in Fallout 3. Like his other mods, it is only hosted on Russian sites: Falcon-Lair: https://falcon-lair.com/files/file/497-hd-retekstur-robotov-robots-hd-retexture/modgames.net: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/robots_hd_retexture/33-1-0-18616You will need to make an account for either site, both of which are free. I have also tagged Fallout NV in this as many of the textures carry over and are either not covered or of higher quality than NV mods. -
Fallout 3 DLC Retextured is meant to complement NMC's texture pack, covering all the DLC textures. There are two locations to get this mod. Falcon Lair has a single download containing all the files However, this download uses an .exe installer. Alternatively Modgames.net contains pure texture/mesh archives, but is split for each DLC: Operation Anchorage: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_operation_anchorage_retexture/33-1-0-16671 The Pitt: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_the_pitt_retexture/33-1-0-16642 Broken Steel: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_broken_steel_retexture/33-1-0-16752 Point Lookout: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_point_lookout_retexture/33-1-0-16648 Mothership Zeta: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_mothership_zeta_retexture/33-1-0-16847 NOTE: Both sites are in Russian and require an account to download, which is free to do. EDIT: Removed Falcon-Lair link due to iissues with apparent rampant piracy on their site. Modgames however has a better rep and I know the owners have gotten permission for the mods where appropriate.

I'm not sure. There are actually two main Russian sites for Fallout 3/NV mods that I'm looking at. I don't actually know any Russian however so it's kinda slow.

Wrench: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/10212/? I made the previously linked album so people would have a better idea than some of the images on the nexus. I realize they're quite small mods, but I find every bit helps...Now if I can just find some real utensils.... He also has one for bottle caps that is in the F&L loathing guide (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40792/?), but I haven't looked at that in depth. We should be able to hid the NV files and keep upgraded mesh.

I've also gone through some mesh upgrades. While there is nothing like SMIM, I did find some good ones. Here is an imgur link with before/after images of each object with links. https://imgur.com/a/ATiGg You obviously already have Better Bottles listed.

Hi Kelmych, I haven't had a chance to compare the DLC ones in depth, but I have gone through the Robots HD and compared it to all robot mods I could find for both Fallout 3 and New Vegas (There is quite a bit of overlap of course). And so far it has been equal to or better texture wise except for Robot Revolution HD Protectron. EVE has nicer glows and in some cases (some turrets) EVE wins because of that, but it covers everything. Therefore it should be the base, then override with EVE weapons and HD Protectron, covering all robots until someone comes along with textures on the same quality as the power armor. I have comparison images of them, what is the best way to present that here?

So I found a modder who has retextured all the DLC and Robots in Fallout 3. I've gone through the robots pack and so far it is better than almost all retextures. It is meant to complement NMC's pack for the main game. There is a single pack of all the DLC, but it contains an .exe installer which I try to avoid. There are however individual packs for each DLC which are just texture archives. However all the downloads are in Russian: Operation Anchorage: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_operation_anchorage_retexture/33-1-0-16671The Pitt: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_the_pitt_retexture/33-1-0-16642Broken Steel: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_broken_steel_retexture/33-1-0-16752Point Lookout: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_point_lookout_retexture/33-1-0-16648Mothership Zeta: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_mothership_zeta_retexture/33-1-0-16847Robots HD: https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/robots_hd_retexture/33-1-0-18616A couple translated pages: Broken Steel: https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com.au&sl=ru&u=https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_broken_steel_retexture/33-1-0-16752&usg=ALkJrhjHC7GOlzFnLh4xhDWyLI9adrkxHAMothership Zeta: https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com.au&sl=ru&u=https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/dlc_mothership_zeta_retexture/33-1-0-16847&usg=ALkJrhg6EQRhwG9AOZRQVyULXW8s1ts7vgRobots HD: https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com.au&sl=ru&u=https://modgames.net/load/fallout3/modeli_i_tekstury/robots_hd_retexture/33-1-0-18616&usg=ALkJrhi8FZ5DjbH7Jazxm_EEeyAYRCLmEg

FALLOUT3 Metro Carriage Interiors (by WastelandLoner)
Adonis_VII replied to Adonis_VII's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It has both of those problems. There are two modified versions of it by two different authors that have fixed the problems. The issue is one of them is in Russian, and the other is for TTW. -
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/15685/? Auto Gates opens and closes the gates to various encampments. It makes no sense that everyone would leave their respective bases open and defenseless after you've left. What this does is play the opening animation in reverse so that gates close as you leave after a certain distance and will reopen as you approach. TTW version can be found here: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/auto-gates#comment-32994 *EDIT: The Author is WilliamSea, not WillieSea haha

I agree on Metro Carriage Interiors. As I said in my post in the mods section, there is even a version of BusWorld floating around that is made compatible with Metro Carriage Interiors and DC Interiors. His other two mods are great too, though one conflicts with AWOP.
