The tool is, in essence, dead - however there is hope on the horizon. Mator is working dark magic in the back rooms, and I hear that a new tool is coming out (zMerge?) that advances the Merge Plugins tool and adds in ReLinker type functionality. Not sure when, but the comments I've seen indicate it shouldn't be overly long. If the errors are minor, I'd hold out a bit longer for the new tool, then rebuild the merge.

I read aloud to the entire family for an hour every night... check. Movies are a me and my daughter thing... rest of the family not so much... Up next, SOLO. Date with the wife two days ago was fun... check. No dog... YAY! Bedroom already decorated from recent move-in... Yeah, we have a life. She just likes to watch me play Skyrim. :)

Here to support, as always. :) No rush - as I said earlier, it's all under construction. We'll mind the dust. :) There's still a lot of misinformation and lack of understanding about what ESLs and ESPLites really are and do (at least among most of us...), and I know Lexy has talked (on her Discord server) about looking into that kind of thing after the OMEGA update is stable... that said, if you really want to get involved in that kind of testing and assistance, joining the Discord server is probably the best way to get involved - there's a link to an invite at the top of the main guide page. There's generally a good active group there, including several mod authors, so your ideas and questions might get a slightly better reply there than here... I know Lexy keeps a good eye on things there, so that would be a good way to get her attention as well. See you there, if you choose to join up. :)

That depends... mostly on which mods you don't use. Some of them are required masters in those CRs. They can be cleaned (and a procedure for doing so can be found at the bottom of the main guide page, under Troubleshooting) of these masters, and it should be relatively simple to do so. Anything you add, of course, has to be handled by you, but that kind of goes without saying. Interesting concept in that mod... not sure about it's balance, but the theory behind it seems workable. To your question itself, I tend to place anything not 'of the guide' at the end of the load lists (left pane... I let LOOT sort the actual files, as normal) unless there is a reason not to. It's going to be mostly trial and error to find working placements. Given that there is no ESP file (judging from the description), I'm thinking it won't matter where you put it - it's likely just a SKSE script, so shouldn't matter.

First impression is a bad download - it's looking for a file path inside the zip/7z file it downloaded and not finding it. I'd try re-downloading first, see if that makes a difference.

And this is why I'm waiting until I get the "All-Clear" from the Dark Lady Construction Company to enter the building... obviously, it's still under construction, and there have been unforeseen delays. In the meantime, I have SWTOR, and if it takes long enough, I'll have AC: Odyssey to keep me occupied until the dust settles and the building is furnished. Of course, the wife is chomping at the bit to get back into Skyrim (which means I am as well...) but, eh, what can you do?

And that is exactly the kind of information I was saying was needed, and proves my original point - thanks much, Rider. You may want to report that on the Nexus comments as well (if it isn't already there - it may be, and I just didn't see it), and if you are on the Discord you should do the same thing there. The only question I have at this point is what else the Unofficial update does, and if it's worth continuing to use for the average user if this kind of problem exists. Back to the original problem though - more information needed on if the CTD is only with Sofia or if it's a more general issue. EDIT: In other news, DynDOLOD has updated to 2.44. Posting here since I can't get to Discord ATM.

I was referring to the original problem... transferring of items from the PC to Sofia (which seemed to imply that it was ONLY Sofia that was causing this version of the CTD), and not the the potential Frostfall issue. The closest I've see to what you just described is a strange 'hitch' when I'm dropping things in the sorting chest rapidly, but all that ends up doing in un-highlighting where I had my cursor and pausing the game for a half moment... an inconvenience to be sure, but not a CTD or game-breaking by any means. As I said, I've seen lots of mentions of this supposed bug, and I'm not saying for a moment that it doesn't exist - only that I've never seen it personally, and never seen it presented as anything except anecdotally. No troubleshooting steps have been mentioned (saying that removing Frostfall fixes it does not mean Frostfall is the problem - it could be a mod interaction as well), nothing has been spoken of (that I've seen) about the actual cause of the problem. The portion about it being related to warmth and coverage values is also anecdotal, as others have reported it as being any item being sold or transferred rapidly. If it IS Frostfall, keep in mind there are TWO mods that create it in our (current as of yesterday) guide load order - there is the original Frostfall (which never showed this behavior in LE) and the unofficial SE update. This being the case, I point out that the error (if such exists) could as easily be in the unofficial update as it could be in Frostfall itself. So, again, to re-iterate (or TLDR, if you prefer) - I've never seen anything other than circumstantial evidence that Frostfall is the cause of this error, nor have I seen that error personally. Given the original problem described (and assuming that I interpreted the problem correctly), it relates only to one specific follower in that case, and so that is where I would start my troubleshooting efforts. EDIT: Reading this over after I posted it, I realized that it come off as real snotty and jerk-ish. That's not the intent... I wanted only to explain my reasoning, and when that gets a bit long winded, it can come off as other than intended. Please don't take it that way - if there is a problem, I want it solved in case it does rear up in my game at some point. That said, I have to look at the actual indications and previous efforts... and the latter (while they do exist) doesn't really clear anything up.

I keep hearing people mention this problem, but have never seen it myself. How certain are we that this is a real thing? IE - how much testing, troubleshooting, and what not has been done to ensure that this is the actual cause? Also, if it's ONLY with Sofia, I'd say, in this case, that it's likely a problem WITH Sofia... not Frostfall. I'd be looking at the possibility of a bad install or download RE: Sofia before I start looking at something that is, at best, a stretch of a cause. And so it begins... obviously taking it in steps. I'm assuming you'll also inform us when the roll-out changes are complete so we can finalize our builds and actually... I dunno... play the game? I know... it's unheard of... but me and the wife have been aching to play the game again after I screwed it up a few weeks ago.

ACCEPTED Relighting Skyrim (by NovakDalton and JawZ)
Shadriss replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Doesn't exist anymore - there's been a few topics talking about that off and on over the last several months. I'd do a search of the forums for those for more details. -
MO no longer able to load mods in any executable.

Always with the WIN10 hate... never had a problem with it. *shrug* Carry on! -
Ahhhh. Thanks for the update. Was trolling through trello (three times fast anyone?) when I saw the changes to Ultimate. FIgured I'd come back to see if you said anything. :) EDIT: After looking through it, I do see a bunch of nice things there - any hints as to which portions we are or aren't going to be making use of? It's hard to make out because of the broken English in the description, but it would appear to be fairly modular on it's effects.

*shrug* What can you do, right? I'd ask about this in Discord, but I'm at work ATM (well... what passes for work when you are a Work Study...). Everything still on track for the OMEGA roll out this weekend? I've just about got the current version of the guide downloaded completely, but I don't plan to start making merges and the like until after that happens and I adjust the LO to match the upcoming one. Also, noted that one of the mod suggestions (Daedric Realms) on Trello was archived instead of rejected or what not - any particular reason for that? Usually it's pretty clear one way or the other. No stake it that mod one way or the other - simply curious. Similarly, I note that Ultimate Combat has been accepted, but no link to the mod is provided - what is this, and is it replacing anything currently in the guide (Wildcat/Vigor)?

Shadriss replied to Vynarus's question in Mod Organizer Support
I'm going to ask the obvious questions first, just to be sure the bases are covered: A) Install locations for both the game and MO? B) Reinstalled MO? C) Reinstalled utilities? You don't indicate any T/S efforts you've already made, so it's very difficult for anyone to point you in any given direction. The problem itself is described well, but we need more information on the setup - that's just as important to this kind of problem as the problem itself is, especially given that this problem has not (to my knowledge) been seen before. Greg might have more info that, but regardless, more information is needed, starting with the three things I listed and any other related things that might pop to mind. My initial thought is that something went bonkers with MO's VFS, which would prevent it from seeing all the mods, but would still allow the game to run with what's in the main game directory. Theoretically, a reinstall of MO might fix that, hence B above. -
Something to that effect, yes. If it's a more extensive changelog, some of the merges that need to be redone sometimes get missed, so pay more attention to that, but otherwise, that's about it. The mod list itself is around 80 to 90 GB, depending on resolutions and such. Maybe bigger if you add in any of your own flavoring. The game is another 17 or so IIRC, and the saves are negligible. So call it 110 - 120 or so GB all told. If you keep the downloads, you can about double that, of course. :)

Not sure that it's just you, per se... it's just that, in the game, they always tend to show up in larger numbers (the Gauldur dungeons come to mind here), so anything that makes Draugr more difficult to deal with makes those fights exponentially harder. I've run into a few places like that using Lexy's guide, and though it took some time, I still managed to get through them. In terms of what you can do to fix it, I'd look at anything that increases difficulty as the first stop - see if there's a 'lite' version of it that might alleviate the problem. Alternately, of course, you could lower the game difficulty when you encounter these areas as well.

The extra mats were hardly worth it - all the new ones added had the exact same effects, so they were essentially useless to the alchemist. The auto sorting portion, however, could be solved by manually placing any given item ONCE into it's holder chest - after that, LOTD will sort them like anything else (as told by the book in-game, and by personal testing). Check the Troubleshooting portion of the guide - there's a step by step there for Master removal.

Much yayness.
