SLI has always had problems with a number of games, especially those that were developed right around 2010. Though Skyrim was originally released in 2011, SLI support was not a normal thing back then - I'm not surprised that the game doesn't really play well with it. In essence, it was still a newer tech back then, as I recall, and a great many games (many of them AAA titles) didn't have support for it, and had issues when trying to run with it. Sounds to me like the LOD run got hung in the background - that update thing you are seeing is the UI keeping itself active while it's waiting for other things to happen in the background. 15 hours is... a tad excessive. I'd try running it again, and if the problem persists bringing it up with Sheson over in the LOD support threads. As mentioned, yes, but as this will be an issue with a couple other mods as well, let me point out that: A) Any of the character texture sets the guide uses that are NSFW can be safely replaced with the SFW versions in the same installers, and... B) Even having done all of the above, when you install the female armor replacements, you may want to use the 'spicy' version instead of the 'vanilla' version for the hide armors - the female version of one of those armors ends up showing a lot more than it should, even with SFW versions installed. I posted on it in the past in this thread - there's a more detailed explanation there if you need it (Just use the search bar and limit it to this thread).

To the first, most of the mods we have allow for fast travel to be turned off - I know I don't use it, as it takes away from things you need to be doing, honestly... like killing everything that moves to build up your EXP so you can do the bigger things. So the easiest solution to the fast travel ILS is simply not to. Alternatively, you might want to make use of the carriage system if the time sink is what you are trying to avoid, but I've seen similar ILS problems with Solitude there as well... which brings me to... ...the second, I've seen that off and on myself, and it's not just from the DBM to Solitude, it's any transition in Solitude. Mine were intermittent, not an every time thing, so you may just have to drop a save before transitioning and just power through it. I was never able to find anything specific as to why it was happening, and it eventually just stopped. I know it's not overly helpful, but it's the only experience I have to pass on for that one. As a general statement, you can likely clean them. While there ARE a few mods out there that make use of 'dirty edits' to make sure they operate properly, the guys at LOOT are aware of those, and they don't usually spawn that message. If the message bothers you enough, you are likely safe enough to clean the files. Otherwise, it's also pretty safe to ignore.

So long as the mods in question are ONLY translations, and neither add nor change any other content, you should be fine. Heck, you should be good to add those in as you go. Curiosity: Have you actually gotten to the Finishing Line LOOT run, or are you doing this as you go? If the later, I wouldn't worry about it yet, since the LO isn't even close to a playable state. If the former, I'd suggest clearing all your metadata in LOOT and rebuilding all your custom LOOT rules. With the ruleset Lexy's recommending, that error should not be a thing. It's not you. It hates us all. I haven't been able to play for over a month now between the game being updated (CURSE YOU BETHESDA!), Lexy working on getting the new, recent updates in, and the new semester of classes that started in three weeks ago. I have no doubt I'll have issues when I manage to find time for it.

You say 'better'... does this relate to one of the issues you've been waiting for Mator to fix? I've been away for several updates due to school and illness, and have been hanging back for the zMerge update, and if the possibility exists that even with zMerge there will be Merge issues... well, I guess I'm just kinda looking for how sure zMerge is going to be vs. MP/Relinker. I haven't swapped over yet for the same reasons, so have no basis for comparison.

The guide kind of has it in the list, so stability wise, it's best to follow the instructions, then never turn it on in MCM. This is, essentially, what I do, and it minimizes other things you'd have to do in RWT (notice that there are some patches that you don't install if you do KiC?) if you don't install the guide as written. So yeah - just don't enable it, and it'll be almost like it isn't there... taking up drive space with it's demands that Skyrim's Dovah-Cat (Kin for you not Khajit...heathens) be squeaky clean.

Oh, it can get bigger all right. WAY bigger. Jesto posted a few pics of the upcoming version a few months ago, and apart from cleaning up the presentation quite a bit, it is without a doubt substantially bigger than it was before. Also less claustrophobic, I think, but that could be a wrong impression - the screens were all in the CK, so it's a bit harder to judge that part. The lantern is known... and with luck will go away with LOTD v5. Several people (yes, including me) have been trying to get the reference for that thing and either can't get it to go away, or simply keep forgetting to tell everyone else how to get rid of it. Small annoyance, but certainly nothing major. As to floating plants... meh, Skyrim. Tons of those around in vanilla even, so not worth worrying about.

There is a search bar (look up at the top of the page, right side), and you are asking a few questions that have been before... but no worries. Asking someone to read/search through a 620+ page thread is likely not a realistic thing, and your questions are at least specific to problems you have been seeing. Add in that you aren't just asking them blindly and have at least tried to do some research, and you're golden.

I'd look at all mods relating to UNP to make sure they are installed correctly. With it ONLY being female bodies, I doubt it's Racemenu, so it's more likely to be related to the meshes being used, and that means the most likely avenue of troubleshooting is the body replacers. As Lexy mentioned, could have been a bad download as well, so there's a few things there for you to check.

WRT to the NoMerge Question: If nothing is marked NoMerge (or that doesn't even show), then all is well. No actions needed, carry on smartly. The mods being turned off by WB are those that ARE being merged, and so SHOULD be disabled. WRT Smash Question: Everything means everything. That means those two files as well.

A torrent of the COMPLETE Lexy Guide? Well, apart from denying the authors of the individual mods their download counts, I'd be very leery of anyone offering a torrent that large - it would have to be on the order of around 90 - 100 GB or so. Even that aside, yes, I'd say the customization is the big reason for not doing it that way. Personally, I'd avoid any torrents... but then I have a healthy respect for keeping my computer virus free. YMMV.

iHud and Widescreen in Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition
Shadriss replied to Ewookie1's question in Pack Support (retired)
Until the site swaps over to STEP 3.0 anyways... -
Most of the predator vision and night vision aspects of the game do not and never have worked well (if at all) with ANY ENB in SSE. There have been some improvements in a few of them, but if the ENB doesn't have the required coding, then it doesn't really matter 'cause it simply won't work. It's a known issue, but one that requires work on the part of Boris (ENB author) and the preset authors to get fixed... and it simply isn't there yet.

iHud and Widescreen in Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition
Shadriss replied to Ewookie1's question in Pack Support (retired)
Lexy's isn't a STEP pack - it's a hosted mod list... even so, as I use it, I'll try to answer your questions as best I can. For better support, I'd recommend either the dedicated Lexy's Guide Thread or her Discord Channel. So, to start: You CAN leave out iHUD. When you go to make the HUD Merged ESP (after all the downloading is completed) simply leave it out of the list. SKYUI is already in the list, so no issues there as it's included in the Guide. The complete widescreen fix I'm unfamiliar with, however it should not be an issue. I'd load anything that is not in the guide AFTER all the mods in the list, but BEFORE any of the Finishing Line stuff is done, and let LOOT take care of the sorting. -
Fore's New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS (by fore)
Shadriss replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The first time this happens in MO, there should have been a quick tutorial shown on how to deal with that issue. I don't have the program in front of me, so I can't give step by step, but in short you have to tell MO which folder is the Gamedata folder so it knows what to install. By clicking OK without designating which folder to use as Gamedata, you basically tell MO that the mod was messed up. The one you want to use is likely only a layer deep, and you should be able to find it in the file tree it shows in that popup. I think there might be a way to reset the MO tutorials in the settings somewhere, so that might be a thing you want to look into as well if you still can't figure this out. -
Manageding games in Mod organizer
Shadriss replied to davidpro100's question in Mod Organizer Support
Sorry - been away for a bit. OK - the selection between Instance and Portable should have shown up on initial run, not during the actual installation. My apologies for lack of clarity - I consider the initial run to be part of installation, so that's on me. The problem, as I understand your original post, is that you are attempting to shift between SE and LE in your MO2 install. This means, to me, that you have both games installed, and are trying to use MO2 to mod/play both of them. If this is correct, you should be able to shift between the two games from inside MO2. In the top left corner is a button (whose name escapes me, but pretty sure it's the furthest left one) that will allow you to shift between the games. The screenshot process I was asking for was from inside MO2, as you seemed to have said that you had tried to shift between the games and were unable to - I wanted to see what you were trying to do to perform the shift to see if you were doing it correctly or not, and thus determine if there was an actual problem or not. -
You'd think that, but that makes the assumption that someone actually uses ONLY the guide listed mods... and I don't think anyone really does. I certainly don't. Unless the game doesn't run correctly, I wouldn't worry about LO too much... and even if it is a bit unstable, there are a lot of things I'd look at before I started messing with LO. Again, Trust LOOT. That's what it's there for. No, though using native is generally best if the setup can handle it. If it can't, then you do what you have to do. You've mentioned this, and Lexy has as well, but I've never seen LOOT disable plugins on me... is this some new behavior in the last build or something? I've seen WB do it, and xEdit throws a fit as well, but LOOT has never complained to me.

Anything that drives down the graphical requirements, in short. Including dropping your screen resolution, if you can bear it. Yes, it's posted somewhere. No, you shouldn't go mod for mod comparison with that LO - she is constantly changing hers as part of the development cycle, and on top of that you likely have additional mods you have added that are not in her guide... which WILL change the order, even of the things that are in guide. Every mod added changes that order, so you can't expect to match another person's LO 100%. In short, Trust Loot and Lexy's LO list is not doing a 100% verification in this case.

Manageding games in Mod organizer
Shadriss replied to davidpro100's question in Mod Organizer Support
Interesting, as that setting is part of the installation. I assume you downloaded from the Nexus? I haven't downloaded in a year or so, but I doubt that the installer has changed THAT much. Regardless: Can you describe, in detail, what you are doing to try changing from LE to SE? Use pictures if you need to - if English isn't your best language, those may help out significantly. All I have right now is, in essence, "it doesn't work" which doesn't tell me a lot. -
Manageding games in Mod organizer
Shadriss replied to davidpro100's question in Mod Organizer Support
A couple of questions: A) MO or MO2? B) If MO2, are you set up in portable or instance modes? C) For the reader's sanity, can you use punctuation in your posts? It's very hard to read and make sense of. -
Non-Contiguous only means that the mods that you have set to go into that merge are not in one block. In the merge instructions, you are told to move all the mods in that merge to the bottom, in the order listed - Wet and Cold shouldn't be in that merge, and so should not be moved to the bottom with the rest of the mods for that. LOOT is used for initial placement, with all the merged mods moved to the bottom afterwards.

xEdit is likely the easiest way - I've looked into the CK once or twice, and it's.... scary in there. Just so I can be clear - add them in AFTER the main portion of the guide, but BEFORE you work the Finishing Line portion of the guide. This will ensure maximum compatibility and integration with the main portion of the guide.

Is S.T.E.P. still the go-to guide for modding?
Shadriss replied to Mackhan's question in Mod Organizer Support
Move-ing? I'm pretty sure it's long since mov-ed at this point... I honestly can't think of any reason not to be on SSE now instead of SLE... the memory allocation problems that SSE solved makes it a clear choice, but to each their own, I guess.
