  1. As a random question - many guides now make use of 'sections' of mods - IE, mods all in a particular vein. Is there any possibility of being able to create 'Headers' in the mod list as an actual object, as opposed to creating an empty mod instead? The latter works (sorta), but are really easy to lose in the lists, as they look just like any other mod.
  2. Did you read a few posts later about the solution to it? Lexy and a few others gave more specific instructions regarding it.
  3. No real answer on that one, ItsKing... that only just happened, and no one has done any real testing yet.
  4. Is that with or without an ENB installed? If it's with, I think that's a problem with the ENB files... the ENBLocal, IIRC. If not... uhm... yeah... If memory serves, the different versions just change when DB kicks off - wont make a difference to the conflict resolution files, if that's what you mean. You can pick whichever one appeals to you, and it should be fine.
  5. Quoted for Random Inigo Randomness... and insight.
  6. In a similar and related vein, there are a few mods that still report ITMs in the esps. I know CHorses likely uses them on purpose, but was curious about the others, like the Boethia Artifacts esp.
  7. Not a problem - like I said, we're just trying to direct you. Also... I'm Shadriss, and the other was Greg... High King and Dragonborn are forum titles. :)
  8. As I understand what OMEGA is, I imagine it's going to replace a large number of patches and files in the current guide - is this correct? If it is, I'll likely hold off - my broadband provider (ComCast for you in America) holds my downloads hostage to 1024 GB a month, and with three kids and a wife who stream from YouTube and Twitch a lot, I can't afford (so to speak) downloading things that I'm not going to need shortly. Thanks for the reply. It's a real common issue... I saw this same thing discussed on the Discord last night. The version numbers for the mods are there for a reason, but I think most people (and I include myself in this as well, usually) just go for the most recent version of the mod and never bother to check. I'm not sure how to prevent that from happening... the numbers are plainly there, we just tend to gloss over them in our quest to get a pretty Skyrim.
  9. Lexy - Watching discord for a few days now, and the OMEGA update for this guide appears to be relatively close. I know you aren't gonna be able to pin down anything exact, but as I am now at the point in my CTD troubleshooting of starting the whole guide from scratch, I wanted to see if you had a better time-line for that change... if I'm gonna be doing all this redownloading and what not, I don't want to have to redo it again almost immediately, if you get where I'm coming from.
  10. Should, I agree, and I'll admit I missed it was the ESM that had the fault. Regardless, it is still a thing to check. Since it was a new(ish) install, it made sense to me that he'd Have 2.43, since that hasn't updated in a bit. It was the re-run of DynDOLOD that fixed the error I was just talking about - Relinker doesn't touch the DynDOLOD files at all, though it's good you have to correct version now.
  11. Or, more likely, you haven't moved the DynDOLOD ESM file down to just after GreyCowl, as instructed. Remember there are TWO DynDOLOD files - one ESM and one ESP. The latter remains at the end, the former gets moved ALL the way up to the last ESM slot, just after Grey Cowl's ESM file. Makes sense to me... especially since it gets rid of that completely USELESS second board full of random notes that do NOTHING.
  12. If the screen doesn't say it completed successfully, it likely didn't.
  13. Nothing to worry about - it's more to make sure the tag is there than anything. At one point, the tag wasn't guaranteed to be there. So if it is, great, and no worries.
  14. I'm still trying to fix my installation, and you keep adding stuffs. :) Ahhh, the joys of modding. If only Skyrim told you WHY it decided to CTD, this would be SO much easier.
  15. What I mean is that the guides posted on the site, with the exception of STEP itself, are all forum user created. It's all on this domain, yes, but the STEP team itself is not behind their creation - they have provided a space for users to host their own guides. I'm not sure who is maintaining that guide (as it's never identified), but there is a link to a discord server. That may be your best direction to go for now. The STEP team (primarily TechAngel) only works (to my knowledge) on the Skyrim LE guide. There should be a subforum around here somewhere that specifically references that guide, which is where these kind of questions are best posted. I'm not saying, nor did I mean to imply, that this was the wrong place - only that you were more likely to get an answer by posting in the subforum or thread specifically for that guide. The links at the top are all generic (and show for every guide hosted here), so it's not wrong... just maybe not wholly right. Just because it's hosted here doesn't mean it's STEP's work - only that it's hosted here. Hopefully, I've cleared up the confusion - not trying to shut you down, trying to get you to somewhere that your question might be able to get a quicker answer. Once it rolls off the recent posts list on the side, unless you know where to look for it, it's unlikely that anyone will get back to it.
  16. OK - so first, STEP doesn't have a guide for anything except Skyrim LE. There are a good number of guides hosted by STEP, but anything that isn't Skyrim LE was created by one of the forum users - NOT the STEP team. Just to sort out that piece of misinformation. The STEP team isn't going to provide support for a hosted guide - that's the province of the guide's creator. Second, having never seen the guide I couldn't answer the question directly, but I would imagine that if the guide didn't use it, it was for a reason. What that reason is, who knows, but a reason. I'd recommend going into that guide's sub-forum (where it's more likely to be noticed by it's author, if he/she is still around) and ask the question again there.
  17. If there's no script folder, then there's nothing to worry about. I'm noticing a lot of things like that across the guide right now... for example: With Cinematic Dragon Soul Absorption gone, the instructions to not install a file in Lucidity (?) no longer makes sense. I have a feeling when the guide shifts to ModPicker, a lot of things like that will get fixed, but in the meantime, if you have double and triple checked to ensure that there isn't a scripts folder, then no worries.
  18. Why not? I am... I mean, think about it... I spent twenty years... on a ship... designed to sink... on purpose. Yeah. Wierd. :) I think it may be because most of us have never seen that happen, so have no idea where to even begin directing you to look. Not even sure how this would happen. *shrug* In other news, No BS AI Dodging is unhidden on the nexus again, and updated to 1.3, though no patchnotes or any other indication of what actually changed.
  19. Unlikely - Nothing I have touches Solitude. No additional quest mods, and I actually detest followers... they always get in the way when I'm trying to shoot, they stealth completely ineffectively, and then block doorways and the like. Seriously... how do people even WANT more of that aggravation? I've also determined that it isn't location... it's timing. When entering Solitude, the execution is going on, and it seems related to that somehow, as just sitting and watching it causes the CTD as well. There's a few things I can start looking at (again), but if there's anything that might be indicated by this, I'm all ears. :)
  20. With items, the easiest way may be to: A) Drop the item into the world. B) Open up the console (` key) C) Click on the item... you should see a FormID number at the top of the screen. Take note of the first two numbers/letters. These will tell you what slot in the load order provided them. Cross referance those with your load order to find the offending/providing mod.
  21. Still getting consistent CTD in Solitude, just as I'm passing Bits and Pieces heading towards the Blue Palace. Rebuilding all LOD related items to make sure it's not that... as I have nothing that affects Solitude (exterior) that isn't part of the mod line up. *sigh* The game continues to hate me. :) No prob - here to help when I can. Best to do it even with Havok fixes - minimizes issues. EDIT: New mod that we may want to look at, in the vein of True Scholar and the discussion I had a page or so back...
  22. SK is part of my Smash Patch (smash.all setting like any other mod). Not a part of any other merge, nor does the Bashed Patch soak it in. Placed as described in Trello, it won't be a problem... be aware that the original file structure does contain an out of date Python Utilities DLL file, and if that is NOT overwritten by the actual Papyrus Utilities Mod (which, in this load order and placed as described, it should), there will be problems. Big shout out to SirJesto, Mycinea, and Quiet Sun over on the Discord, who helped me track down and eliminate my doubling issue.
  23. I wonder if the problem relates to how it isn't 100% corrected in-game - I've had several NPCs who continue the BS dodge, but the instances of it are still significantly smaller. ESM version only. I'll be heading into Discord shortly to see if any headway can be made that way. Thanks for being a temporary go-between.
  24. No worries, Vardex. Try it this way - In your load order, locate Know Your Enemy. Next to it will be a two alphanumeric code... this is the first two in the FormID you are looking for. So, if KYE is in slot A8 (as an example), then the FormIDs you are looking for would be A80519A8 and A80DF734.
  25. Try typing those entries into the FormID search box at the top. They should pop out at that point.
