  1. In expect every someguy mod to be compatible with the guide. They haven't been added because I don't add anything I haven't tested personally. His work is top notch though, so it should be good to go.
  2. I'll clarify the instructions to make it easier. EDIT: Okay, done.
  3. I think it automatically recognizes the type of installer MO should use based on the presence of a Java or C# script. EDIT: I asked the author of the new installer and he said Fallout 3 should not have any issues.
  4. @Kelmych, did you try out that new installer for MO yet, so you don't have to do the FOMM install?
  5. I didn't have this problem with Bitdefender. Are you using the free version or pro version?
  6. Copy paste over the existing lines or change the values to ones I recommend.
  7. Japanese and Russian modding sites are a nightmare. It is such a chore to figure out how to even download a mod. Not really worried about boobie mods though, the Nexus and Lovers Lab have plenty of that stuff if I need it.
  8. Okay I've updated the guide except for the new version of EVE.
  9. The guide is now nearing the plugin limit, so I'm not really adding to many mods unless I can merge them together. I leave some feedback for a few mods you listed though. Not sure if the rest are worth plugin spots that are very valuable at the moment. The Inheritance maybe, but I want to wait on that one till I'm done testing Russell and NBIII after it comes out.
  10. @Kelmych: There is a new installer for MO to install the mods that require FOMM. Check it out and see if it works with FO3. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57553/?
  11. I did know actually and I'll try to make the age the guide tonight to reflect all updated more and this new installer for MO.
  12. It works with Flashlight NVSE and PN - EO. I had to do PN-EO twice though because you can't tick the equipment module, but that doesn't matter since it doesn't exist anyways.
  13. For some reason <code></code> is not working as it was only a couple days ago. The old way would make the text white and a bit smaller font size. I think it also made it courier new as well. Now it has a little box around it and there is no change in color. Good example here of what's happening: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP_Core_Patch_Changelog#Detailed_Changelog
  14. Looks like someone made an MO plugin for FOMM scripts. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57553/? I'll try it out and report back.
  15. MSE = Windows Defender with Windows 8. So having both with that OS is redundant since it's the exact same detection engine. I would just use Defender and install something else on top of that like Panda Cloud or Bitdefender. I've have Bitfender Pro for a while and it seems to work barely even notice it actually, but I only visit a moderate amount shady websites. On Windows 7 do not use MSE, it's crap and M$ is planning on stop development in a couple months, so avoid it and go with something else. I've heard good things about Avira and Avast, but one of those had some kind of spyware built in that would send user's data back to the company. I didn't really read the article, but you should look into it if you are going to use one of those. Bitdefender's free version is very lightweight and there are not that many features, so if you want the minimalist AV approach give it a try. Check out AV-Test and AV-Comparatives for some great independent tests.
  16. It's a BSA limit or something for plugin loaded BSAs. You can only have like 20 BSAs and have to extract the rest.
  17. Is there a red exclamation next to it in your load order? I can start the game just fine. Actually the new patch is pretty much identical to the old one.
  18. If MO makes the plugin italics then the plugin isn't needed. You just untick the plugin and then go to the archives tab and tick the BSA. In the case of Vault22 you need the plugin no matter what. I usually extract this BSA since FNV has a BSA limit.
  19. Telvanni Reborn is clearly made from the HRDLC. It's sharpened and upscaled a bit to make them pop out a little more in game. Mystrey did a good job making the base textures better, but he definitely didn't build them from scratch. I wish someone would post the SRO DB textures for everyone to use.
  20. I was going to add that mod during 2.2.8 when I did a big test of Dragonborn mods. The color palette was off and Telvanni textures have a repeating pattern that is very noticeable. Once you see, you can't unsee it. Go to this post for some pics: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/2941-skyrim-realistic-texture-overhaul-dragonborn/page-2?do=findComment&comment=61900 Those are close ups though, so you'll have to install them to see the patterned effect.
  21. Actually the permission for this authors textures were okay to use with credit given. It's already in the combined thingy I made.
  22. Okay, I'm done updating the STEP Patches. The readme pages are updated too. I've been working a ridiculous amount of hours the last few weeks and need to change things up a bit, so I'll return to some testing this weekend.
  23. So, I got bogged down with work again, but now I have time to take care of the STEP patches as soon as Skyrim downloads, promise. I need these four days off so bad.
  24. Its mostly the limitations of dx9 games and some really bad engine building by Bethesda. You can go with a full ENB to enable some of the graphics that will utilize the gpu much more, but the CPU will still be maxed out.
