GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I think IMPACT may need some bash tags though. I'm already missing the WotNM vendor robot dude that is supposed to be at the Gun Runners. Also, there is some NPCs just standing around and looks like so leveled lists are borked. -
We have a Utility Pack made by DY that should include this. I'd welcome making DY's pack an Official STEP pack.

When the file is uploaded it will have the title real big at the top of the page. THen your format is correct for the basic insertion of an image. For more info use the mediawiki page for image formatting.

It's not that you can't have great framerates with FNV, it's that you can't get consistently great framerates. The Strip and Freeside are very intensive because they just weren't optimized that well. The other towns may give you a tiny hit, but not really noticeable. Interiors are always pinned at 60FPS, except for the casinos with the populated casinos mod active. The added NPCs can really bring you down. If you don't like the hit then go from high to medium. The low version is barely more populated than the vanilla game so stray away.

Battlefield 3 is .99 on origin right now.

Okay, I had some time to llok it over and you right click on Camp Grills.esp and it will be automatically ticked when the merge script thing pops up. Then Camp Grills - Honest Hearts.esp should be in the same mod as Camp Grills.esp so unticking that mod with make both disappear from the load order. -
Papers Please for $2.50.

Also, one more thing is to make sure your active plugin count is below 140, or 135 for some people. You can start wrye bash to see how many are active along the bottom somewhere.
-
No mods active means the game isn't trying to load the BSAs. When you add all the mods back in a bunch more archives will exist and when the game tries to load them all it may not work.
-
I've tried figuring out the BSA limit, but the behavior seems to depend on a few factors I can't figure out. Just go to the archives tab and right click->Extract. Then find the mod folder and extract the BSA. Remember to hide the BSA as well if it keeps a copy. Just do it one by one until the game starts. I currently have like 23 BSAs and if I add one more it will not work. I have a bunch of INI loaded BSAs though, so my setup is way different than most.

I'll look it over but that might be the first plugin you right click so it should be auto ticked. -

Okay, two more Yuki mods added. That Sentry Bot mod is cool. Finally did the Advanced Recon mods. If that new install script came out sooner he wouldn't have had to change nothing. Also, tested Russell and ran into just about every bug the mod is known for. Froze twice in the big event and then the third time the quest got stuck and I had to use the console command to move it forward. The next part of the quest is broken for females and the then the ending slideshow was completely bugged out and just stopped working so I couldn't ever get back to the mojave. I can't see adding that mod right now in it's current state. Maybe later on when NVBIII comes out and someguy has time to address the bugs. The mod is really good, but I can see adding something that is going to freeze up on people. -
Okay, well you may have to many BSAs. Extract one of plugin loaded BSAs until the game starts.

If might be compatible with the Bashed Patch. No need to install the Advancd Recon mods again. It's actually harder to install now that you have to do it all manually with mutliple files. I'm just being lazy about updating it. I should have done it last night, but I was tired from christmas crap and beer. Just four more days and I can finally relax and play video games non-stop. Not sure about any guns being rare, this is 'Merica after all. -
Archives tab, untick 'Have MO manage archives'. See if that works.

Way to find Mod Organizer's installation directory
EssArrBee replied to Mator's question in Mod Organizer Support
The project is open source so you can look at the code of MO and see if that helps you. https://sourceforge.net/p/modorganizer/code/ci/default/tree/ Otherwise we'll pass this along to Tannin, so he can give you some insight. -
There is no archive invalidation with Skyrim.

What is the correct terminology to describe this issue?
EssArrBee replied to GrantSP's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That i7 is nice, but the 540M hurts. Go with 1280x720 if your screen allows and do as much optimizing as possible. Body replacers eat VRAM because many of them are uncompressed or lossless compression textures. Turn off everything in the ENBseries.ini except Shadows and see how that goes. -
The STEP method has more to do with the STEP guide and there being a circular error, so you can't really "fix" the error. MO just throws the errors because it detects a possible conflict. I hate that I see that triangle in the top bar too. I feel like it's sitting there staring at me, like my girlfriend when I did something wrong.

I've been ignoring the the updates to the Advanced Recon mods for about a week now. I'll try to address them tonight when I add a couple of little mods. I've run into a couple bugs with Russell, but they were all known bugs. First, was that Headshot or w/e his name is won't progress his dialog and the other is crashing during an certain even I won't mention. I'll try the extra plugin for it and see if that works. NVAC messages were even popping up during that event and it still froze. I may added to many weapons by now. Some are bound to not play friendly with everything else. No clue. I can't even get the latest MO and ENB to work together on my laptop. -
You should just stick to one type. Don't edit the INIs two different ways, like editing from the INI editor or from the INI-files in mods, but not both.
-
No need to move anything if you know that nothing is wrong. Letting MO 'correct' it may actually create an issue. Clicking 'Fix' is something we don't even recommend for the mods in STEP. I would check out any potential conflict manually and then decide what to do with it. MO may look for script conflicts, but scripts are now loose files instead of plugin dependent like former Beth games, so you can hide files if you need to.
-
Yeah. It's the potential for a problem to exist. That's all MO is telling you. Plus, that feature may still be in beta.
