Well, don't we have STEP Extreme still? Wouldn't using all the HQ versions of mods in STEP be testing for STEP Extreme? I still think that is valid input and shouldn't be tossed out. If we need to have something extra for the power users, so be it. The more people we include in STEP the better.

Identifying errors on the Papyrus logs, constant CTDs
EssArrBee replied to phryxolydian's question in General Skyrim LE Support
There is probably a conflict with the aMidianBorn Skyforge Steel plugin, but I doubt that caused the crash. The last four plugins for the blacksmith forge water fix can all be removed. The WATER blacksmith forge water is really good so you don't want to overwrite that. Not sure about the Karliah spell, but your log is only covering 1 minute so I doubt it is a script error, most likely RAM limit crash. -

Well, ENBoost is a part of ENB that reduces memory while playing. ENB can be used without the graphics enhancements and you can just use ENBoost, so you don't loose performance. We have an ENB wiki guide that you can use. Look under the ENB Choices tab and follow the directions under 'Using only ENBoost', then go to the Installation tab and go to the 'ENB INIs' and follow those directions to set it up for your hardware. I wouldn't change from one blood mod to another mid playthrough because it could cause issues with saves. Maybe try a clean save to uninstall Crimson Tide and then see if things are going good before installing EBT. -

Enhanced Blood is the recommended blood mod over Crimson Tide. Apparently the blood scripts were an old version that were able to corrupt your saves, and Enhanced Blood uses updated versions. Also, you can clean the mods you have for personal use with TES5Edit. Gopher said that so people would not upload fixed versions of the plugins or if the author put those dirty edits in on purpose. Are you using the latest version of the unofficial patches? They should be in a different order if you are. They are now false flagged as master files so they load right after the proper esm they are patching. You only have 1 GB of VRAM so it is a good idea to set up ENBoost properly or reduce the size of your textures. Also check out Safety Load it seems to be helping many. Overall, I'd say to many scripts running at once, not that any one mod is to blame, but if you have a lot mods running scripts all the time then it overloads the Papyrus script engine. Maybe disable Wet & Cold to start and see if that helps, also you could just disable some of the features in that mods MCM menu to start with. -
We seem to have enough STEP members reporting good things so far with this mod to accept it for MT. I'd say lets fast track this gem and get it into the list sooner rather than later. I know tech is gone at the moment, but Will is still around.

Hmm... I guess I need to search a little harder for threads. Anyways, I merged the threads.

yeah I'm currently testing that with EBT, DSI, BFSE with the Safety Load plugin and everything is really good so far. I just want to do a couple more major city battles before adding anything else.

STEP: Core is pretty much set in stone and you shouldn't worry about developing around that. Any changes to STEP: Core will not be major things that break all the packs anyways. STEP: Extended will probably a bit different and if you develop a pack that requires Extended then you should expect to developing your pack with that in mind. My advice is to develop packs that require Core and then to pick as a selection from Extended or to just list those mods an addendum.

Skyrim -Community- Uncapper may be hacked

Guys look at when this thread is from, the hacked file was an isolated incident and has been taken care of. The nexus is fine now and this thread is irrelevant, closing it to avoid further confusion. -
DROPPED Acquisitive Soul Gems (by bluedanieru)
EssArrBee replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Stop using this mod and Projectile Soul Trap altogether and get Smart Souls. USKP will take care of the rest. -
I don't have permission to build packs, so I can't edit the form to put up the wiki page for a pack.

So Arthmoor has said that this is even working for Open Cities Skyrim, he still had some crashes, but it was better than before. Maybe this thing is magic. Clearly Black Magic, but once you go bla...

I'm trying to use the pack form on the wiki and I can't edit the page after I put in the name for all the pack info.

[video=youtube]http-~~-//youtu.be/_54l8-9blxk RIP Jeff Hanneman. War Ensemble is a small pack centered around the Civil War using ApolloDown's Civil War Overhaul with some smaller mods to enhance it. @Everyone: Â I'm still looking for a few more mods to tweak the Civil War Questline, as long as they aren't full overhauls that will conflict with CWO, so please make suggestions. REQUIRES A NEW GAME OR CIVIL WAR OVERHAUL WILL MAKE YOU SAD!!! Modlist: STEP: CoreAlternate Start - Lets you start as Legion or Stormcloak.Civil War Overhaul - Basis of the pack, adds in new elements to Civil War, like the ability to actually lose the war.Civil War Repairs - Repairs cities after a battle, so rubble and fire will disappear.Immersive Patrols - Battles and Civil War Plugin to add a bunch of war everywhere.Perfect Legionnaire - Former STEP mod for Legion troops, adds in some armor flair.aMidianBorn Stormcloak Officer Armor - This will be included until it is part of Book of Silence and STEP: Core.UltraHD Stormcloak and City Guards - Really good textures for StormcloaksBonus/Optional: Dragon Combat Overhaul - You will have to do at least one dragon fight to finish the Civil War Questline.War Ensemble Patch - Mostly done, need a finished STEP: Core patch to merge with.Secondary module: Collection of STEP: Extended mods to enhance gameplay (EBT, BSFE, DSI....)Wiki Page So far this has been tested without any causing any crashes, freezes, ILS, and corrupt saves through 20+ hours of testing. This was also before Safety Load released, so it should be even more stable with that. There are few small bugs that can pop up while using CWO, since it is so complex. The key is to save often and if you experience a bug just reload from you last save, usually one quest back and it should work the next time. The Civil War was extremely buggy to begin with and probably why it was so unfinished in the first place, so don't expect any miracles. Using Alternate Start will allow you to jump right into the war if you just want to do a power run through the Civil War by choosing to start as Legion or Stormcloak. You will need to fight at least one dragon to advance the Whiterun part of the quest so Dragon Combat Overhaul is recommended, but definitely not essential. I'm currently waiting for a few things to happen for the STEP: Core patch to come together, and then I will have a finished patch to distribute with this pack that will include the STEP: Core patch merged into a patch for this pack. EDIT: Okay I added the links since the Nexus was being weird earlier for me. EDIT: Apparently I don't have Pack permission on the wiki so I'll create the page when I do.

Here we are joking about spying and this guy comes in here talking about it for real.

Well, at high level difficulty like Master or Legendary you can barely hurt anyone and they can hurt you pretty bad with a couple of swings. The goal of that battle is for the Stormcloaks to bust through the first barricade which is like two or three swings and then try to run past you to get to the drawbridge levers. You quickly burn through stamina and poisons and potions trying to hold guys back but the shear amount and lack damage you do to enemies at that difficulty makes it hard to win that battle. They will send invisible Stormcloak Rogues at you, who run by and up the steps to the drawbridge while you are still fighting the Berserkers and a Giant. There are some really great types of soldiers added to the battles from mages to huge guys in full plate or ebony armor and there are thiefs, rogues, prefects, legates, captains, and bunch others I forget about in the battles. I'd say that it is almost designed for you to lose Whiterun. Also, you can lose the war, just lose battle after battle and don't help your side at all and there is new ending for the civil war that Apollo built. I plan do to test this in my next playthrough.

A lot of his... uhh... words are clearly sarcasm. No teenager I've ever met had that grasp of humor, especially none of the teens born in the 90s, with their brains stuck in cell phone mode. @Nearox, one other I didn't mention is that I had no ENBoost, or anything else other than STEP: Core and the mods I had mentioned a few days ago that I'm testing for the pack I'm putting together.

Throw a ton of creatures in their, Monster Mod, Immersive Creatures, SkyTest, AV, Bellyache's New Dragons, Deadly Dragons, and Immersive Patrols for extra NPCs around. Then throw in Econ or Skyrim, Smart Cast, ASIS, and big overhaul with ugrids 7 or 9. That would for sure mess up some stuff in the game. I bet without the plugin you wouldn't even get the game to load.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he has worked with Beth or Obsidian and knows how to work with the engine from a professional standpoint. If he adds in some good radiant quests and rewards (I got a steel shield for taking Riften :( ) for the Civil War questline then it will actually be worth the time investment to play through it. The vanilla CW is basically 3 hours if you rush through it, and CWO is probably 6 hours. I wouldn't exclude Civil War repair though, the artifact may have been on my end and I can't reproduce it.

Just a follow up, I played some more last night and finished a civil war quest. One other bug I found was faction relations getting a bit screwy if you don't follow orders pretty strictly. If you fast travel to a location where you are supposed to meet up with troops for an attack and get spotted by the other side before getting to your troops then this can cause that part of the quest to fail and your side will become hostile. The only way to get around it, is to reload or win the battle and your side will stop attacking you after a minute or so. The one thing that was really nice is that I had zero crashes, freezes, or ILS while playing through the civil war questline. On my test run I just started as a an Imperial Soldier using Alternate Start and played on novice so I could go as fast as possible and not have to worry about dying or loosing. On higher difficulty the first Whiterun battle is pretty tough on the legion side, and I think there should be at least one more set of barricades to defend on the way before the gate, or maybe be able to drop back to Dragonsreach and have to defend the doors or something. On Expert or higher you really need good weapons and potions and poisons to beat everyone without them getting to the drawbridge because the first barricade will fall almost immediately. Being able to loose though is really nice since you actually feel like it is a war. The weird artifact issue in Whiterun disappeared after restarting the game. Not sure what the deal with that was, but it doesn't seem to be a recurring issue with Civil War Repairs. Every city that gets damaged will be returned to it's original state a day later.

I remember being able to reproduce an ILS going into the barrow at Ivarstead. I had a hell of time trying to get in there on a couple of playthroughs with to many gameplay mods installed, even with a full 1k optimized setup.

I noticed that not using fast travel always made me level up fast because of all the crafting stuff you get along the way. The way I set up Uncapper at the moment nerfs those skills down to 25%, so no more crafting spam, but I had an early save that got up to 72 or so. I actually ended up hating the character by the end because you run out of things to do and there are leveling up skills becomes a grind, plus you are good at everything so it is totally boring to fight. I've gotten to the point of putting really skewed limits on my skills in uncapper to change the way that I play each character. I will limit skills to 50, make them only contribute <50% to PC level, slow the leveling of those skills way down, and just add the differences to the skills I want my character to have. Makes the game so much more fun to play when you are actually role playing and leveling up doesn't make you feel like a jack-of-all-trades.

So, I've put in quite a bit of time with CWO lately and there are a few bugs. Most aren't game breaking bugs, but they will need a reload so saving often is a must. Do not go to dawnstar without the courier's armor on, the quest will not spawn any stormcloaks. If you loose a battle sometimes the quest will not forward. Either reload or wait for someone to kill you. Map markers get messed up from time to time. While taking the Rift, map marker moved spontaneously from Rift to Whiterun. As for the Civil War Repairs, it worked the way it was supposed to except for this one thing in Whiterun where there was a huge artifact over by the Hall of the Dead. Just this huge purple and yellow triangle sticking up through a house. Not sure how that would even happen, but maybe something is messed up when the city gets repaired. I thought the mod would take longer to repair the city, but it pretty much happens if you leave for like one day. Hope that helps.

I just bumped up my current playthrough which had a couple ILS here and there. This seems to work even with the extra mods I added to really stress test this thing. Gotta say that I was impressed when I could even use Immersive Settlements again without ILS, that mod always caused problems. ENBoost seems to be okay too. Maybe this guy just beat Altimor to the punch on figuring out one of the ILS issues.
