ACCEPTED White Phial Replacer (by Saerileth)
EssArrBee replied to phryxolydian's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
One of the best episodes. Stan has no clue what is happening the whole time. Symmetry is way overrated. Is the universe symmetrical? Well, actually we don't know, but our current understanding is that it is not. It's still quite beautiful. Actually, in four dimensions it's a lopsided doughnut, hmm. -
SMCO the optimizer? You'd do that for the individual folder instead of running it through MO and doing the optimization, so it wouldn't matter. The performance increase from running textures in archives would be better for the CPU, but once unpacked unoptimized textures are worse for GPU. You could unpack, optimize, and then repack using archive.exe that comes with the creation kit. It's in your root Skyrim folder. You don't want to go optimizing stuff in the patches anyways and why would you? Those textures have had special fixes applied to them and you could an optimizer could undo some of them. Leave the patches in their BSAs as they are designed to packed up and loaded early.

I've looked at that guys readme and I wouldn't put to much stock into the multicore settings. Queue looked at the game code and listed that most of those settings do nothing. The game doesn't even read them as is posted in the OP. Be weary of anyone claiming those settings work. Some of the other stuff may help, but stay away from the iPreLoadSizeLimit, it is the last setting is the OP and is for the intro splash screen and video that plays if you leave the main menu sitting without touching anything. The other stuff is just simple understanding of the AA, AF, resolution, and Vsync. The 4GB loader setting is not needed any longer, especially with MO. Thanks for taking a look though. I think now that I'm actually looking at this stuff I'll be doing some LOD settings testing. There is some stuff in two of the settings I talked to people-in-the-know about.

Crash after enabling Step Core project

That is just a patch for the whole list of mods we tell you to download in our guide. It is worthless on its own. -

Install order is all that matters now. Extraction and all that stuff is irrelevant now.
-
Wait there is?Do we make a dummy mod and put it there?
-
The new install order means there is no need to extract any BSAs.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
EssArrBee replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Hey Neo, does the TOC getting ever longer and longer get on your nerves? I find that it's annoying as hell, but I can't get rid of it for navigation purposes. -
Texture Errors throughout Skyrim: black, blue, invisible
EssArrBee replied to Vanusk's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Nope, I don't know, you could untick that mod, run the bashed patch, then retick it. -
ACCEPTED White Phial Replacer (by Saerileth)
EssArrBee replied to phryxolydian's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You sure? Doesn't look like it's working for Luis Saurez. Aren't human bites the most deadly you can get? All the stuff we eat makes the bacteria in our mouths like super deadly when it hits the blood stream. I'd actually go for the Twinkie defense, and say it caused you to snap. EDIT: Damn, those look good. -
ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)

I'll look at it and contact David if I find a problem, Keith. I've made patches for him before. -

The order listed is not right because of the way the unofficial patches are designed. They have to be inbetween to allow the correct overwrite priority to take place. Your screen shot looks good to me. Are you using SRLE? That's what it looks like to me and I imagine Neo will address the new format explicitly in his guide very soon.

Texture Errors throughout Skyrim: black, blue, invisible
EssArrBee replied to Vanusk's question in General Skyrim LE Support
It only shows 26 mods. What happen to that monster of a list you had? You have to add BOSS GUI.exe as an executable to run it with MO from the dropdown. Otherwise you can't sort everything at once. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
This is known in the latest MO. Basically, what happens is when you save changes made to a new plugin MO is stealing that plugin and putting it at the end of the load order and the program is not seeing this theft and thinks the plugin is gone. It is not, and when you close the program it is there at the end of the load order and unticked. This is a new bug, but not a game breaking one. THe worse part is that with plugins changed by FNVEdit go to the end of the list and you have to resort with BOSS. When you run WB just close it and tick the Bashed Patch and everything will be fine. You can even see the time the file was edited in the hover text. -

Dawnguard and Dragonborn default placement in MO
EssArrBee replied to peppergomez's question in Mod Organizer Support
Double click those mods and go to the file tree tab. That tells you what's in there. If it has a check box next to then MO has a mod folder of it in ...<Mod Organizer>mods. -
What you have listed is correct, but if using Distant Decal fix put it before USKP and if you have optimized textures packed as mods then put them between the DLC and it's corresponding Unofficial patch.

Texture Errors throughout Skyrim: black, blue, invisible
EssArrBee replied to Vanusk's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You could then optimize your textures. We have a DDSopt guide on our wiki with a lot of bat files to make the process a lot less hard. Optimizing can help, but takes quite a bit of time. But, first let's try something else. Your load order is disaster and I'm guessing you are using LOOT instead of BOSS? Go back to BOSS and if BOSS doesn't sort some of your mods, then we have directions for where to sort those on the guide or mod pages. Also, saw this on the load order: Note: Incompatible with: Hearthfires.esm. Use either BirdsHF.esp or BirdsHFclean.esp. -
Finished up to 2.D. in the wiki guide...getting CTD before the main menu
EssArrBee replied to navman's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The STEP Guide is both Core and Extended until 2.3.0 comes out. We will split them into two different places then, but 2.2.9 isn't even out yet, so you don't have to worry about. Mods with the Green bar on the left are Core and without are Extended. You can install Core or Everything. We designed it to be installed as either Core or Both. There are two STEP Patches, either the Core verison for people only installing Core, or the Extended patch for people installing everything. -
Hiding unticked mods on the left pane

Dawnguard and Dragonborn default placement in MO
EssArrBee replied to peppergomez's question in Mod Organizer Support
You shouldn't have mods named the same as the official DLC files that MO adds. It's probably a bad idea. Those to with the category non-MO need to be at the top. -
Since the betas started we've had to add the argument.

Did you run any texture optimizer on your mods?
