  1. So I have recently found out that a newer version of ENB .123 was just released to the public. My question is, Has anyone tried out the new version and what is the performance that you are getting compared to .119? Did he indeed optimize the new enb to get better performance or is the fps the same compared to the current version. Any help will be greatly appreciated/
  2. Dear Step Community, I believe I have found a gem of a mod called Better Embers https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23352 By looking at the screenshots on his page, one can clearly see the detail on the embers which looks more realistic compared to that of realistic smoke and embers mod. Do you guys believe this will be a contender for the next STEP? Let me know in the comments below =)
  3. The author has replied that he is working on a compatibility with vurts summer version which should be released in the coming weeks.
  4. Just checked the latest pdf guide for Step and found no mention of this mod on the list. If I am mistaken, please let me know where it is located. Thanks @rpsgc My bad, just updated it to show the link.
  5. Dear Step Community, I have found a truly great mod that has fixed a major issue on the look of the LOD trees from the distant. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24364 This mod pretty much gives you a high res LOD tree which in result eliminates the faded white LOD looking trees (left)Â to a normal healthy looking tree (right). This is a must have mod in my opinion. Let me know what you guys think =)
  6. Wait, so just to clear this up. Are you saying that I can use the latest enb version with Sky Realism instead of its recommended 1.19 and it will still work?
  7. So I was reading up on the description page for the Enchanced BLood Texture mod and found that the author advises the user to not clean his esp as it might cause some weird issues. Just wanted to let the community know if your like me who has been cleaning most if not all my mods besides USKP EDIT: Let me rephrase my previous statement, He advises you to not clean the esp yourself and use his version instead/ =)
  8. I am also having this problem, but the my issue is mainly the moss on the ruin walls and such. It really is immersion breaking and makes me stop playing to find a solution to this problem If anyone out there has found a solution to this, I will be incredibly indebted to you .
  9. Alright, in your opinion should I overwrite the files from this mod over Skyrim Realistic Overhaul 1.6 or the other way around?
  10. So just to be 100% sure, this mod is a contender for 2.3 or has it already been accepted?
  11. As I have not gotten a response so far, I have tried different methods to see if this would work. Instead of sending the dynamic snow mod directly to the mod installer folder and install it. I have instead uncompressed the dynamic snow, than cut and copy the esp into the data folder and cleaned it in TES5Edit. Once I cleaned it, I than cut the esp from the data folder and replaced it with the original esp in the uncompressed folder. Than I archived the file again and installed it normally through wrye bash and it seems to work. Whether or not this is the actual steps to repack a cleaned esp or a alternative is still up in the air, but this is how I made it to work.
  12. I have tried my best to find the answer but have failed in all attempts to repackage a cleaned esp so that wrye bash doesnt show an orange plus mark. Can anyone give me a step by step instructions on how to repack the BAIN with the cleaned esp? Also, when I clean the esp such as dynamic snow, and uninstall it. The Dynamic snow esp is still active in the mod tab when the mod itself has been uninstalled in the installer tab. (this only happens with the cleaned esp, when i use the non cleaned version of dynamic snow, it uninstalls normally) Anyone know why this happens? Or how to fix this? I eagerly await for a response
  13. Update: So for the past couple of days, i have tried pretty much every common solution to fixing this problem. (PS: No mods installed or ini changes, this is currently in vanilla default format) 1. Reinstalled Skyrim with a fresh copy. 2. Tried to Verify The Cache on Steam 3. Clean Install for 12.10 and 12.9 drivers to no avail. 4. Set shadow setting on Ultra to see if it fixes the problem (which it did not) 5. Set Ishadowmapresolution primary and secondary to 4096, 2048, and 1024 None of these common solutions worked in fixing the shadow problem. I just cant raise my ishadowmapresolution above 2048 or my game shows no shadows anywhere. Also my character seems like she is floating slightly from the ground. If anyone out there has a AMD Card with the latest drivers, please let me know if this problem that I am describing is also happening to you? I truly want to get the best out of skyrim but this shadow problem is really bugging me. Like I stated previously, Any help will be appreciated. Hope for a reply soon SOLUTION: Well I found out that the last 3 latest drivers of amd is glitched with this no shadow problem After, installing 12.11, 12.10, and 12.9 drivers to no avail, I than tried 12.8 for the hell of it and found that it fixed the problem. It seems AMD loves creating new problems when there were none to begin with. Sigh, guess I wont get the benefit boost of other games till they fix this glitch.
  14. Frihyland, I have been using the steps that you have provided but there is one question that still puzzles me. After cleaning the mod, I see an orange plus mark next to dynamic snow and Climates of Tamerial in wrye bash. (which for clarification shows no dirty mods after cleaning) Like I stated previously, when I uninstall the mod in wrye bash and reinstall it, the dirty mod checker(which is the apply filter setting) shows the same dirty mods before I cleaned it. My question is, what should I do at this point? Is the orange plus next to dynamic snow/climates mod harmless and I should leave it alone after cleaning? or should I uninstall and reinstall and not clean those mods? Hopefully you understand what I am trying to say and I eagerly await for your response
  15. I am currently new on using the TES5Edit Mod Cleaning Guide, and as a result have a couple questions regarding this tool. 1. Are there any mods that I should not clean besides USKP? 2. Will dirty mods that have been reported on STEP be usable if I clean the mod wth this tool? 3. Are all the steps of cleaning a mod the same? Example: Select Mod that you want to clean. Right click on mod and select Apply Filter for Cleaning Right click on mod and select Remove Identical Masters records Say Yes on Warning message Right click on mod and select Undelete and Disable References CTRL+S and click Okay to save Done 4. Will using the cleaning tool cause any problems to my game? 5. After cleaning the mod, I see an orange plus mark on some of the mods on wrye bash (examples climates of tamerial and Dynamic Snow). When disabling that specific mod and reinstalling it on wrye bash. I have found that the errors are shown again on the TES5Edit. Is this normal? should i leave orange mark mod alone in wrye bash? Or should i uninstall and reinstall and not clean the mod afterwards? Under Wrye Bash Help Orange Plus Means:• Orange: All package files are present in the data directory, but some esps/esms are not identical. (E.g. another package installed an alternative version of that file, or the user modified the file after installation.) 6. Should I install the mod via wrye bash first before cleaning the mod or before? Any help with these questions will help me very much
  16. I am currently installing SMIM 1.26 and Skyrim Realistic Overhaul 1.6 on my newly installed Skyrim. While installing both mods, I have found that there are some conflicts to both these mods. My question is, should i overwrite the conflicts for smim over SRO for these conflcits? Which one looks better? What do you recommend? ==3== Skyrim Realistic Overhaul 1.6 FULL.7z textures\architecture\farmhouse\woodpost02.dds textures\architecture\farmhouse\woodpost02_n.dds textures\architecture\whiterun\wrslate02.dds textures\architecture\whiterun\wrslate02_n.dds textures\architecture\whiterun\wrwoodbeam01.dds textures\architecture\whiterun\wrwoodbeam01_n.dds textures\clutter\furniturewood01.dds textures\clutter\furniturewood01_n.dds textures\clutter\common\dresser01.dds textures\clutter\common\dresser01_n.dds textures\dungeons\azurasstar\azuracrystal01.dds textures\dungeons\azurasstar\azuracrystal01_n.dds UPDATE: Well I found that the core file of SMIM overwrites some major improvments from SRO. Such as the slate, wood textures, etc As a result, I have manually deleted the conflicted texture files in Whiterun architecture and allowed the overwrite of the furntiture files from SMIM over SRO as they are in my eyes superior. Thanks for any help from the community
  17. Dear Step Team and Community, I have recently done a clean install of Step for mod testing purposes. However, before I even got the chance to test out some new mods, I realized that I am having a major shadow problem. Here is the issue: When setting the shadow on high and changing the iShadowMapResolution=2048 to 4096. The ingame shadows are completely missing, thus making the world of skyrim shadowless. I realized that the problem that was causing this issue was when I changed the iShadowMapResolution to 4096. When i changed it back to 2048, everything seems to work perfectly fine. So my question is: What is causing this issue? Is the AMD Driver 12.11? Patch 1.7? If anyone could shed some light or even have a solution to this problem, I would be very grateful
  18. Found some problems with vibrant/rcrn combo that was recently recommended Dont get me wrongs, it makes the game look incredible, but there were some minor annoyances that have slowly strayed me from the path. 1. Lighting: It looks great at first, but during the day, its so bright that my character face in third person looks unnaturally bright, which in result breaks my immersion. 2. Night: Like Valamyr stated previously, the Legacy Dark (which supposedly is the closest to the vanilla dark) is still too dark for my taste. It actually makes my playthrough during the night very unpleasant and makes me not even play in the night times. 3. Diversity: This is more on personal preference than anything. When playing through the game with RCRN, the days look the same, the night looks the same, and the weather looks the same. It actually makes the game not feel like a living world. This is one of the few reasons why I have chosen to go with Climates of Tamerial as my main lighting/weather mod compared to RCRN 3.5. The reason being 1. it eliminates the unnatural brightness 2. makes the dark look close to vanilla dark 3. makes the weather system very diverse which changes throughout my playthrough. (example: one minutes its a beautiful blue morning sky, and the next day it could have a heavy thunderstorm)
  19. I have been using 1.2.2 for awhile and evertyhing seems stable, but recently saw that 1.2.3a was released. As I was about to upgrade to the latest version, I saw alot of negative comments regarding the latest version of USKP. Many have said that they are getting CTD with the latest USKP and there have been reports that you cannot start a new game as you get stuck at the beheading scene. Now before I would even consider upgrading, has anyone who has upgraded to the latest USKP also seen these reported problems? Is it stable? or should i stay with 1.2.2?
  20. I have just recently tested out the new Skyrim Realistic Overhaul 1.6, and was quite surprised by many of the changes that make the textures even more gorgeous than before. His new textures, which also include updated old textures, look alot more detailed and clean compared to his previous versions. Consequently though, it seems TPC does not recognize the new textures and does not add them to the game. And now to my question. Does anyone know of an estimated date in which TPC will be updated to incorporate this amazing update? and if not, Are there any alternatives to use SRO 1.6 that will work well with the current version of TPC? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  21. Dear Compiler, Your recent recommendation regarding Vibrant Enb plus RCRN legacy has truly made the game look incredibly amazing. I have been doing some extensive testing with different ENBs with COT/RCRN but it does not come as close to looking as gorgeous as your recommendation. You truly have an eye for this type of thing and I want to thank you again for your recommendation.
  22. Out of curiosity, which one do you guys recommend for his preset? For me, I have narrowed it down to 3: Vanilla, Vibrant, and Cinematic. At the moment, I am leaning more so on the Cinematic version but would like to know your input regarding this.
  23. Thank you so much for the reply divstator, Ill defiantly try your method out
  24. Hello Step Community, I currently have installed my Skyrim into my SSD drive (including wrye bash) and would love to move the wrye bash Bash Installer folder which includes all the mods into my secondary hard drive. Does anyone know how to make this work? The reason why I would like to move the Wrye Bash Mod folder is because of my limited GB on my SSD (which is 64GB). I hope for a reply soon. Thanks
  25. Thank you EisDrache, I understand if you believe the price might be too high but at least be polite and give me a helpful suggestion like EisDrache did instead of bashing me right out the gate. Anyway, Ive reduced the price from 199.99 to 179.99 as some have stated on toms hardware that this is an appropriate price for a 6950 HIS IceX Graphics cards with 2GB of VRAM. Considering the original price is 279.99 without tax or shipping (with tax and shipping its over 300), I think my price is actually very reasonable for a card that is less than 1 year old, with a warranty of 1 year and half still intact, plus the graphics card is mid high end card that can play most games with 60fps easily. The link below shows that its one tier below a 480GTX and a 570GTX which is pretty damn good. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html PS: If anyone is interested, send me a pm. we can negotiate the price if its reasonable. (Shipping only in US)
