I used to have a friend that would blurt that out at any public gathering just for fun... :hurr:.Key word: "used to" :P

Several have installed 2.2.1 without any or very few issues. Our admin, Z, currently was a complete install I think as well. There is most likely going to be some changes here and there, but we're pushing to get it into the testing phase right now. If you decide to use 2.2.1, please post any issues you many encounter, with as much detail as possible, in the 2.2.1 changelog thread.I just want to add that if you use WB then it'll be very easy to update everything when v2.2.1 is actually released.

Bukakke? I'm not sure TC would approve since he's the creator in the middle of it all.

Isn't the BSA required for SkyUI to work? You can solve this problem by unpacking all your BSAs and just using the loose files, then you don't have to worry about the BSA load order.
-
Sounds like LIAT and TMTM are mutually required to not be out of place. I agree that LIAT adds too many people, it could be a fire hazard ;)
-
So completely confused... Lets just leave it at that. :P Basically, only "00" and a "01" options are required, "02" adds back the Vanilla normals, which are slightly worse quality.
-
It's a lot less confusing to just post a link to the diff view of the edit you're talking about. Anyways, according to the description page (which isn't exactly clear on the issue) you install "00 Core files" and "01 Hi-Res Secondary stuff" for the best looking version ("Hybrid (1024+2048)") and then install "02 Hybrid + Vanilla NM files" for the next step down ("Hybrid (1024+2048) + Vanilla NormalMaps"). So the addition of the Vanilla normals is what makes the recommended instructions not the "best", and I quote that because the difference is negligible in most places.

Perhaps we should some some (or all) of those you suggested into STEP? I assume they all have an ESP, anyone checked for conflicts yet?

No problem, thanks for making the thread anyways :P This is already in the v2.2.1 guide.

ACCEPTED The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard Rewritten - Arvak (by Oriius)
Farlo replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Looks good, anything that improves upon Vanilla and hasn't been addressed elsewhere is fantastic to have. -
I really wish we didn't have to, it's a tad excessive. I can manually make it a couple thousand characters tall with huge font so that it literally can't be missed. If you want to make a "popup", perhaps we could mess with Extension:DismissableSiteNotice, maybe we can set it to absolute positioning so that you have to click something to continue?

Weird... try logging out and back in to the forums before the Wiki. -
I agree, I'll update the page's note to be bigger and mention that we'll close/ignore any general support/troubleshooting requests for v2.2.1. Whenever I get around to it, I'll also see about adding an entire subsection for the Development version of the guide so all questions and discussions about it will go there.

Your primary usergroup was set to "Registered" for some reason, does it work now? -
Not only is v2.2.1 not ready for use, especially the control panel sections. On top of that, without screenshots it kind of hard to diagnose.

Could somewhat Suggest what step version for me to use? - [SOLVED]

It might not make a huge difference, but 4GB of RAM is a little low, especially when you take into account all the overhead of the OS and background applications. If you can spare $30-40 USD I highly recommend you pick up another 4GB. Other than that you'll probably be fine with Extreme as Techangel said, with 2GB of VRAM you should be able to throw in mostly 2048 textures. -
Moved to the Support forum.

SKYRIMLE Hectrol CAVES DELUXE HighRes Retex (by Hectrol)
Farlo replied to thalastwon's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Surprisingly it doesn't, just Vanilla/HDDLC and Snow & Rocks HD. It also conflicts with SRO... but nevermind that for STEP :P -
Welcome! Glad to see you share our enthusiasm for making Skyrim the best it can be! I look forward to having another dedicated set of eyes on the project and can't wait to have the extra feedback.

Well it also allows some change control for things like release pages and other things you may not want to be freely edited. I'm in full support of open editing, but some measure of versioning might prove to be useful. Just wanted to throw them out there as options. ^-^ We've looked at things like this before and gone back and forth on a lot of them. One of the bigger technical obstacles is that since MW wasn't designed for this level of permissions control, the extensions that provide it aren't very "clean" in their installation and can really mess up your database. It also makes it a huge pain to update. The warnings provided on the various Extension pages hosted by MW explain the problem fairly well.
-
I seem to be able to search multiple times without any warning, I was wondering if that was forum wide or just because I'm an admin. There must be a way to "piggyback" on that feature for normal users... or I'm severely underestimating the complexity of MyBB, which is probably the case.

ACCEPTED HD Enhanced Terrain (by Hritik Vaishnav)
Farlo replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Judging by the videos that's quite an improvement. The landscape LODs have always been rather lacking, especially compared to the awesome work in all the various texture mods for objects and other stuff viewed up close. These look a lot more natural and not just painted grass color. Hodilton also does a very good job with those comparison videos, we should recruit him to make some for STEP v2.2.1 :D -
SKYRIMLE Hectrol CAVES DELUXE HighRes Retex (by Hectrol)
Farlo replied to thalastwon's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Unfortunately this mod is only 11 textures (cavebasewall01 through cavebasewall05 and their normals) and I assume they're used in quite a lot of places, so separating them by location isn't going to work. Someone want to post this thread on the mod's comment thread? Maybe he'll have something to say. -
My bad on this one, I forgot that we were making another permissions level for you guys. Even though you won't be sysops my idea will still work since you'll be a "higher" rank than the average user, whatever we decide to name it. As the other two said: yay revision logs. Once the Wiki's open I'll also be patrolling RC (RecentChanges) a lot more and if a couple others do as well we should stop pretty much all of the vandalism. Not to mention I have AbuseFilter and the almighty banhammer ;)
