  1. The last guide had a bunch of issue. My main focus is minimizing CTDs and provide quality over quantity I have the contents of the old guide but as a whole, it no longer is a thing. However, this is the wiki and there is a history button
  2. I looked at the code a few days ago because I was curious and I believe MP finds the first mod folder(by order) with a matching plugin then it copies everything(being ignorant about other features like facegen) except the plugin. From what I found, leaving it tick is handy in most instances. The only time that I unticked it, is with SMC.
  3. I went through the exact same thing but my experience is really fun. I was able to build it for Enderal once. When I tried again I ran into that. After trying literally everything I can think of I started to find that files and folders couldnt be "enumerated", then I ran into window's permission hell. :/ I hope that doesnt happen to you.
  4. I know there was an issue with HDD thrashing in oblivion but I havent heard the same for skyrim. I would recommend ignoring WB and do not enable auto ghost. If you do, its easy to fix but a little annoying
  5. You can turn off copy general assets off, I toggle this for different merges. Also, as I was playing around with it, if there are multiple esps with the same name in different mod folders, MP doesnt seem to copy the assets of the latter mod folder
  6. They are flagged(the name escapes me) so that it always uses the full model
  7. To get a perfect 60 in skyrim is difficult due to various reasons. When it comes to whiterun having terrible frame rate toss the dyndolod extras, those tank mine to about the same. Texture size doesn't really directly affect framerate, it does but its so tiny. Win10 does have the issue where the max reported virtual memory is 4064, if this is your issue then the easiest way to test is to fine a troublesome spot and then press the free memory key for enboost, f4 is default. If it shoots up to 60, then you either are going to need to reduce texture size or use win 7. I currently use a bare bones win7 for skyrim. I also found the enhanced landscape is way too heavy and causes too many issues(crf) for what it does.
  8. I wouldn't see why they would cause crashes but I can say that I run win10 in desktop mode and I haven't had any unusual issues.
  9. That was the goal, I can probably add another option
  10. One handles adding LOD low-res objects that can be used and the other affects the distant landscape mesh
  11. They do entirely different things. Performance with the options I suggest shouldn't be too bad, 60 fps here
  12. BCFs are BAIN conversion files. These are used to remap an archive or project to be in a different folder structure. I use these for mods that need them to be easily installable. Info on this needs to be added to the guide but its fairly simple but for the time being, look at WB's documentation. The reason one would install this "patch" is to flag the exe as LAA, to get access to more ram. I found that this actually causes more crashes than it solves. The extra memory isn't really needed because ENBoost "removes" the texture cache and in early testing I found that oblivion doesnt use more than 2GB of memory to begin with. Overall, it causes more issues than it fixes and what it fixes, isn't really needed with ENBoost. Use the latest build of xEdit. The guys switched the names awhile back. If I remember, I'll change it, if someone else does it, there may be other anchors that need to be changed A better solution is provided in Enginebugfixes.
  13. With enhanced landscapes, I hang in the 40s in some areas at 1080 which is unacceptable, I ditched it an I am trying to find a new solution. I think I am going to see if I can wedge Skyrim Landscape Overhaul. If you do try it out, report any oddities and I'll passively fix them with my bugfix.
  14. A summary of what happened is that after purchasing an option, the objects were not enabling. After tracking down the enable parent which had the correct script event to enable it. However, there was another sub enable parent that was never enabled. This caused the initial scripted enable to fail as the object was still inheriting the disable flag. After looking at the scenario it appeared that the initial enable parent was not supposed to have any enable parent and was supposed to be the root. As for the sub enable parent, it was an object sitting on a desk, so it seemed logical to add an enable parent to match the original enable parent. Making these edits provided a seemingly correct result.
  15. Uh, one of the next steps would be to handle translations or SEQ
  16. It looks like the next step in MP is batch copy. Try disabling batch copy(an alternative of the main "copy general assets") Or its BSAopt if you have build merged bsa
  17. oh, I'll fix RBB WT as I have been putting it off for ages
  18. That doesn't make any sense because it's not really a "tweak", limited can be considered a "tweak" thoughIndia could've borked something though
  19. :D I recommend this as it is a really easy site to visually cal a display.
  20. I believe that is limited because that is what mine was set on. Follow what I wrote in OP and tell me if you see a difference.
  21. Thats what I thought, but when I purchased the 980ti, I had DVI, I then switched to a DVI/HDMI cable so that I can use the PS4 on my monitor and then I switched back to DVI/DVI because I couldnt get my monitor accurately calibrated.
  22. So, I don't know if people know this but I sure didn't, but nVidia cards are apparently defaulted to "Limited" dynamic range instead of "Full" for some reason. This normally isnt a huge issue for the day-to-day user but there were several games that I just couldn't see in or were bleached out and for the longest time I thought my screen was complete s*** but it was actually because it wasn't displaying all the colors. This makes a huge difference, even on my desktop. To change it, open NVIDIA Control Panel Go to "Video" -> "Adjust video color settings" Select "With the NVIDIA settings" Go to "Advanced" Select "Full (0-255)" And now all the ENBs look fantastic :D
  23. Do not delete records, disable them. That record is also persistent so it may take more effort to actually disable it. I would recommend disabling equipment mode as its causing issues, if it get a rework, it may be worth looking at again.
  24. Load Order is only so sensitive, some of the odd behavior with LOOT was worked on and now it isnt so unpredictable. LOOT requires fewer rules and for most plugins, they dont care about LO as long as some records get forwarded which is Bash's deal. Maybe, it depends on if I want it and if it fits. I don't know if I'll include any. Its the wiki there are several ways to retrieve old info. Im not going to link it for use because there are some major oversights. Also, I found that some of the memory related stuff was causing CTDs, not fixing it, please adopt the changes by removing the "patched" exe, altering OSRs inis, adding more heap
