DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)
TechAngel85 replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
These ceilings should have be eliminated with SKSE memory patch and ENBoost though... Is your SKSE set up properly with the SKSE.ini file added containing the memory parameters? [Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768ScrapHeapSizeMB=256INI should be in Data>SKSE>SKSE.ini. In MO file tree it'll be SKSE>SKSE.ini -
Well, the Patch without the Delev and Relev on Content Addon is now 13KB, down from 283KB. I think there's a glitch in there somewhere... Regardless of the patch size, the testing I did holds true (because that testing was with the new smaller patches). So the issue wasn't in the patch, it was Content Addon not having the needed tags. EDIT: I'm getting ready to test out a couple ENBs and then restart a new game with the fix from my testing. I'll play most of tomorrow (vacation is wonderful! :: ) to see if it holds up.

These are mainly just textures so it sounds like you're hitting a ceiling on what you can load. -
Coincidentally, my Bash Patch is now only 8KB ...weird to go from 260KB to 8KB considering I've done nothing different from the first 100 times I've made my Bash Patches.

Just tested PCB on my save. Didn't work.
-
I don't think PCB doesn't anything with the actors but it's worth a quick test. This also has nothing to do with scripts but rather Level Lists so I doubt those will work.
-
Yep, that's correct. I haven't done any extensive playing on it but it does look as if that resolves the issue. I'd like someone to confirm before adding this to the mod page.
-
Okay, just completed my testing. Here's what I did and the results: I set up two Bash Patches. One without the Delev and Relev tags added to Content Addon. The other with the tags added. I then started a new game with each Bash Patch on a pure STEP:Extended setup. The new games was 100% fresh from the cart ride through exiting the cave. I then toggled on the map markers and fast traveled to the issue NPCs. Test 1 - Without bash tags added The issues remained. Jon was without boots and the lady in Windhelm was freezing to death working the forge in her undies. Test 2 - With the bash tags added The issues were resolved. Jon wasn't walking around barefoot and the lady in Windhelm decided to get dressed before leaving her house. With my previous testing of Test 2 on a saved game this issues remained; however, starting a new game they seem to have been resolved. This would suggest anyone with the naked NPCs issue will have to start a new game with a rebuilt Bash Patch to be rid of it unless there is a way to refresh what the NPCs are wearing.

Just open WB, add them to the patch, and then rebuild it.

Ouch...don't use that Fix button! We've personally checked the Potential Mod Order Problem warnings that MO spits out. They are not an issue with STEP. That feature is still in beta and could use some improvements anyway, but we're not going to bring that up with Tannin just yet since he just recently fixed one major issue. -
Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Post Processing
I'd rather not use COT either. That thing can be a pain in the a$$ to make it compatible with everything since it alters so much of the game (worldspace and all). It's a bit overrated in my experience as well. -

You're just using WB for the Bash Patch and that is all. Install it, set it up in MO just like you have done with TES5edit and the other executables, run it via MO, right click on Bash Patch (at the bottom) and click Rebuild Patch. Just follow the directions on the Batch Patch mod page in Section N of the Guide. Super simple. -
Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Post Processing
This is still on my small list to test out. I look for something that looks realistic and natural without being too fantasy with the saturation and contrast. This one looks like it strikes a very good balance. I also hate ENBs that look as if they put a filter over the screen which darkens and hazes the screen ever so slighting and many of them do that. Even on super clear and bright days it looks like you're looking through lightly tinted sunglasses...hate that! Vivian is also on my small list of ENBs to check out as well. -

Stable uGrids is a Core mod for a reason. Regardless if you change your uGrids, it will still work its magic and provide a more stable game. You should install it and try SDO again to see if your ILS issues are gone. You should also note that it's going to take longer than normal to load so leave the loading screen up of a few minutes. Mine has taken up to 5 minutes before...this is partly an MO thing as well as the mods used and the source your files are loading from (I have a HDD not a SSD so it takes longer). WB is also a Core program as well as the resulting Bash Patch that results from using it. It take 3 mins to run via MO once you understand how it works and how to run it. (It's not difficult) -

Are you using all the items in Section C of the Guide? Infinite Loading Screens have pretty much been eliminated with the new tools (Stable uGrids, SKSE memory fix, ENBoost). -
Okay, I loaded up my vanilla save and checked all the aforementioned NPCs. They are all fully clothed. I can only assume this was due to adding the Delev and Relev tags to the Content Addon. Sad to say, but I think I'm going to have to scrap my current playthrough. I want to play to test if this is an "at first load" issue or an issue that appears over time. The only way to do that is to play. I'll start on this tomorrow. As for the Bash Patch size...I still don't know if there is something wrong with it or not. I would love if someone with the know-how would download the file I posted and checked it out before I start this testing.
-
Our goal is 100% vanilla compatibility...meaning we need a body replacer which works with the vanilla armors without the need for them to be converted to a new body. This ensures compatibility with vanilla and all 3rd party mods that users might use.

I'm using WB v304.3 for the record. My Bash Patch for those that know what they're looking for: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1_Nlyy2ueu0VnJKODFFQXNSaG8/edit?usp=sharing
-
It's pure STEP:Extended; however, I did add the Delev and Relev tags to Content Addon as recommended. Dropping those tags its size is 286KB
-
I need to know if this is baked into a save or not. I was troubleshooting earlier today. I... Disabled Content Addon and STEP Extended Patch - no fix on saved game Disabled CCOR and STEP Extended Patch - no fix on saved game Disabled both - no fix on saved game After each of the above, I rebuilt the Bash Patch and the DSR Patch before testing each. None of these tests fixed the issue. Either it's not these mods or the issue is baked into the saves; thus, only a new game would work in testing each new troubleshooting scenario....which would make this a rather bothersome issue to test and resolve. Luckily, I keep a vanilla save just outside the Helgen Cave for things like this and other testing! 260KB

This simply increases the tint resolution which is used for makeup, war paint, etc. It it's needed with STEP (yet), but shouldn't hurt anything if it's left in.

Same here, got the Sims 2 now. I've played it before on a friend's computer. Good way to blow time...they tend to be rather needy though. -
Unknown. There's nothing about it in the changelog or on the latest forum thread. You should probably go to their forum and ask.
