  1. Regardless of what STEP goes with, I love your mod and the concept behind it. Rustic is nothing more than a re-texture. SCO goes beyond that by correcting and fixing the children. I stand behind this and it will be in my personal setup.
  2. Vsync should be enabled in Skyrim.ini, in the drivers, and in enblocal.ini.
  3. Do we know if the EDT2 DB files are included in the new EDT compilation? I can download it and figure it out. EDIT: The answer is no. It's not included. I can include it and make it an option in the installer for other players as well.
  4. We can. Doesn't matter to me, but we need to find out if SP integrated the DB file into this installer or not. As for Distant Decal Fix, will that not be gone when Dyn is accepted? ...as I'm sure it will be.
  5. Do no extract BSAs. Just install the mods. Enhanced Blood Textures comes with the Brawl Bug so there is no reason to install it separately. Normals are within the textures folder so you're installing it correctly.
  6. WAF will be updated soon as well.
  7. I'm fairly positive that the black face issue with some children is due to the data being baked into saves. This method resolves it for current saves: https://www.wolflore.net/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=2156 This means that if SCO is chosen, it will require a new game. This isn't the first mod that has required a new game that we've included ( aMb content addon, anyone?); however, rare they may be. Question is, do the benefits outweigh the cost? IMO, yes. But I can understand why most would want to go with Rustic Children simply because of this issue. The issue is fixable for those that want to fix it, though. Only real issue remaining is the conflicts that need to be forwarded, but I think he has someone helping him with that.
  8. Yeah, RS is just too far away from vanilla for STEP. Rustic doesn't have these issues because it's just a straight mesh/texture replacement. SCO does a lot more than just replace textures.
  9. It would seem for SCO, that the face data for the females might require a new game to be added in correctly since this data is baked into saves. This is because the author went a step further by creating female meshes for the female children...some of which was using the male meshes.
  10. They're not voiced yet. Author said that the children's voices coming out of a child orc felt off so he went with unvoiced. Someone familiar with Audacity could probably whip something more suited fairly easily. In other news, SCO author missed some things. The USKP changes need to be forwarded to the ESM, which is super simple. Hearthfire and probably UHP changes need to be forwarded to the SCOHearthfire.esp (addon). Have yet to check the Dragonborn Addon.
  11. I keep going back and forth between Rustic and SCO. The clothing looks better with Rustic, but then all the children are made pretty much the same shade. With SCO, the clothing is about as good as we have now, but the overall changes that SCO makes need to be taken into account. It adds a variety that I didn't feel was missing until I started really paying attention (no one pays the children any attention while playing). I never noticed the odd choices Bethesda made with the children. Like giving the battle-born child brown hair when both his parents are blonde. Redguard children being too pale and the missing children from Mers and Orcs. Just going by looks alone, this would probably be Rustic. However, weighing in the entirety of what each mod brings to the table...SCO wins out for me. So my official vote is going to be SCO.
  12. After some time with this in-game. I can say that I'm okay with it. It does add an "air" to the overall atmosphere when it rains.
  13. So I've deleted the compares bc I strong believe that they have to looked at in-game for a while. Don't just load them up and walk around for a few minutes. Spend some time watching the children and compare them to the adults walking around. Those compares were not doing any of the mods justice. Votes without testing in-game will not be counted for this set of mods. Right now, it's going to be a toss up between Rustic and SCO.
  14. I'm quite proficient with HTML and CSS so I know exactly what you're saying. I seen the hidden span but didn't think anything of it.
  15. Yes! Do view all options in-game! My shots are just a small example and I would not want anyone voting on them alone. Rustic really makes some of the boys look weird in-game and all children are white from what I can tell. You really need to view them interacting and walking around the environment to get a true sense of how they look.
  16. No, you are knocked back 3-5 meters as if hit with something really hard.
  17. Yeah, I tried to play around to reduce that but could find anything specifically controlling it.
  18. SCO is where it's at for me. This mod corrects the children to look like their parents which is where most of the changes come into play. They look as if they're always been a part of the game. Rustic children only changes the cloths and makes most of the children whiter. This is why I don't like it, plus some of the boys just look creepy. RS Children is just way out there with its changes and I agree that they don't always fit in. They look amazing, but almost too good for Skyrim. This one seems like it sits outside the STEP Mandates because of it's drastic changes. The others at least seem to hold the essence of vanilla. I highly recommend checking these out in-game before passing any judgement!
  19. A new version is out!

  22. STEP >> Skyrim Child Overhaul >> Rustic Children >> RS Children Please test all mods in-game.
  23. I don't feel like it would keep the mod from being in STEP.
  24. The black face issue seems to only appear where the children are actually loaded in the cell. Therefore, when installing this mod make sure you are nowhere near children. The author has a list on the mod page; however, that doesn't seem complete since I received the issue in Whiterun.
  25. Turns out that this one might have some issues. I'm fairly sure it needs a patch for Hearthfire and it has an issue with a few girls having black faces that the author doesn't seem to know what is causing it...which could simply be conflict issues that need resolving. If this one be get working 100%, it's the best for STEP, imo, out of the ones in testing.
