ACCEPTED The Ruffled Feather (By SparrowPrince)
TechAngel85 replied to Xaviien's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but you can do whatever you want. Your mod. STEP will not be able to compare for some time. My free time has been minimal lately as I'm currently working 10 days with only one day off in there. I'm tired and end up in bed earlier. So it will be a bit before I even have a chance to look over your edits to AMB.- 307 replies

ACCEPTED The Ruffled Feather (By SparrowPrince)
TechAngel85 replied to Xaviien's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Thanks for the update! I've downloaded for my records. I would say that if any more texture compatibility packs are added that we should separate Grassias Fixes out of the main mod and into an optional like EDT is. This will keep both the file sizes down and the number of files on the downloads section organized. I detest mod pages with a ton of optional files that you have to scroll forever and pay special attention to in order to find the right file you're looking for. Case in point: SFO ...a person can easily get lost in there!- 307 replies

SMIM Installtions, Overwritting Textures & Meshes
TechAngel85 replied to Sigyn's question in Mod Organizer Support
The BDS and SMIM issue is no longer an issue. We've updated the mod with a SMIM option so uses of SMIM and BDS no longer have to worry about the install order and asset overwrites. -
Download folder getting crowded, how to keep it organized?
TechAngel85 replied to xxx78's question in Mod Organizer Support
Not from within MO, to my knowledge. You can still organize them the old way you were doing it...which is the same way I used to do it...and simply install them using the install button in MO. However, the disadvantage of doing this is the all the mod info such as Nexus ID, version, etc may not get picked up by MO using that method. Speaking from experience, of course. -
We will be doing this inadvertently due to SRO being dropped from the next release

If someone wants to add a testing tag to this and make a thread for SP's suggestion we can compare these to STEP...eventually.

Yeah, I seen those holes there as well spend the steps up to the buildings. Wasn't sure what was causing them.- 307 replies

Ah! So that's the reason for the custom texture. Okay, that's cool. Whiterun does look different in green!- 307 replies

ACCEPTED The Ruffled Feather (By SparrowPrince)
TechAngel85 replied to Xaviien's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
For AMB, pay close attention to the grass areas in top of the rock walls around the buildings. There was some stretching in these areas. Yeah, it can be removed from the textures option. I'd love for that texture to be made compatible with other mods because right now users are forced to use it when using your meshes or they'd get the famous purple well. Yes, you can do that for the green grass option. That would be the proper way for BAIN formatting.- 307 replies

Might have missed one file. I downloaded a file in the thread and the one you PMed me. Applied the one in the thread and then the pm file last. If there was more than one, then I missed it. I'm at work and will not be home for another 6hrs so I can't confirm anything solid.- 307 replies

SKYRIMLE Disable Skyrim fxaa, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering for enb?
TechAngel85 replied to Ishit's question in Post-Processing Support
In my experience, driver AF is just slightly better quality out of the three. This is only apparent at farther distances though. At the end if the day, they're all about the same. -
SKYRIMLE Disable Skyrim fxaa, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering for enb?
TechAngel85 replied to Ishit's question in Post-Processing Support
Just as Aiyen stated, yes to all. Disable all three and use the ENB version of AA or SMAA. For AF, you can use the ENB version or your driver version. As for FXAA, you don't really want that running unless you like the "soft", almost blurred filter on all your textures. -
SKYRIMLE Disable Skyrim fxaa, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering for enb?
TechAngel85 replied to Ishit's question in Post-Processing Support
You have to disable AA in Skryim for ENB effects to work. ENB has its own AA and you can use SMAA to compliment it. -

TechAngel85 replied to Xaviien's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nope. The SMIM version has files removed on purpose so it doesn't conflict with SMIM. This prevents users from having to do this work themselves. @SP I'm not upset. Just explaining why I hadn't asked you.- 307 replies

ACCEPTED The Ruffled Feather (By SparrowPrince)
TechAngel85 replied to Xaviien's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Which is the reason I have not asked yet. Who knows if Cabal would be willing to let you alter his textures to fit your fixed meshes. Since there are not permissions say you can do thus, Nexus will assume the author has not offered that permission without asking. Therefore, you'd need to ask him first. If you just went and did it and then provided those altered files in your mod, then all Cabal would have to do is tell Nexus you didn't have permission and that would be that. You'd be asked to take them down or banned...depending on how Nexus wanted to handle the situation...which would probably depend on how upset Cabal is over it. If you want to seek permissions, please do so! I'd love to have those Whiterun textures work with your meshes. They'd be added to STEP for sure!- 307 replies

I'd love them to be compatible with the default meshes...not the 3D ones; however, you'd probably need CaBaL's permission first.- 307 replies

alternatives to Skyrim Realistic Overhaul
TechAngel85 replied to slayer80's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Only one or two staff members and users have issues with torrents. Personally, I have no issues with them when they're used for the right reasons. -

Nice. Good to have another techy around. I have Ubuntu on mine.
